~*Ren POV*~

I yawn, but shake my head. "Gotta stay awake." I scold myself and splash water on my face.

~*Seki POV*~

"Well, ya. Mirka should know where he is, too. Right?" I look up at Mirka.

"Yup. But we can't tell you."

"WHYY NOOOOOOT??!!?!?!" Yardly whines and forms an Energy Ball.

"Because we'll bring him here." I tell her, dodging her Energy Ball as it collides with a tree.

"NOOOOOOOOO!" She shoots a Dazzling Gleam right at me.

Mirka sneaks up behind Yardly and strikes her down with a single Blizzard. "She'll wake up in about 20 minutes. Probably enough time to find Ren."

~*Ren POV*~

I lie down and groan. Too much thinking. The waves almost reach my knees, sweeping away my sandals.

"Don't you wanna get those?" A voice asks from behind me.

"No, they cost like 2 dollars. And that was at a fancy shoe store." I reply. "Who is this, anyway?"

"Shao. Darry and Strong should be here soon, too. We wanted to visit the bach before we head off to the on-campus mall for some dinner." She answers and crouches down beside me. "How's the water?"

I think she meant for it to be a joke. "It's pretty warm, actually." I tell her and try to splash her with my feet.

"Hey!" The Absol girl spins around to see Darry running up to us, Strong close behind. "Hi, guys." She waves.

"WATZ UP?" Darry grins and runs straight into the water, but trips over my feet.

My response is a long groan.

Shao just shrugs. "You okay, Darry?"

He nods sheepishly and says, "I'm just clumsy."

~*Mirka POV*~

"I told you he would be here!" Sekia exclaims joyfully, pointing to the Shaymin boy lying on the sand. She starts sprinting up to him, but I grab her hood of her hoodie and pull her back.

"Don't you think that he just wants time to himself sometimes?" I ask, not sure why I'm even telling this to her.

The short Houndoom looks up at me. She just stares at me for almost a minute but finally nods. "Fine." she whispers.

"Cool. Let's go check on What's her Face to see if she thawed out." I suggest.

"She has a name, ya know." Seki says as we walk off.

"You remember it?"

"No..." She mumbles.

Soon, we both burst out laughing.

~*Ren POV*~

It's now almost 9.

I'm finally alone. The stars shine particularly brightly tonight. Great. I think to myself. The ceremony can begin now.
