Cole's POV
I heard the alarm going off and groaned. With a heavy hand and closed eyes I turned it off. After seconds of just laying in bed, I rolled on my side and opened my eyes to check the time. 4:30.

I stood up and ran a hand through my messy bed hair. After doing my morning routine, I put on some shorts and a t-shirt for workout. Taking my phone and a pan and paper, I wrote a note to my dad that I went for a jog, which wasn't exactly a lie.

When I went out, I shivered and decided to run to the school to get warm. Oh, I forgot to mention that it was still dark outside. It's too early for this, I thought.

Jogging and listening to some music through my headphone, which I snatched on my way out, I didn't notice somebody jog up to me. I felt someone tapping me on the shoulder. Looking down confused, I noticed Seliel running alongside me. I removed my headphones and stuffed them in my pocket.''Seliel? What are you doing?''I asked, rising an eyebrow.

"Same as you,"she said. Going to train to become a Ninja?"Running before school. I gotta take care of that body."she said, gesturing to herself. I think I blushed a bit and she laughed.

''Where are you gonna run to?''she asked.

Fast! Think!''Umm..the park!''I said. Good job, Cole.

''Really? Me too!''she said. Damn it.

''Um, did I say the park? I meant towards the school,''I said and mentally slapped myself.

''Oh, alright then,''she said, disappointed look on her face.''I guess I will see you later then?''she asked.

''Yeah! Definitely!"I answered.

''Okay then,''she said and headed right.''Bye Cole!''she yelled turning back a bit, waving at me, then rounded a corner and disappeared from my sight.

Kai's POV

I stood on the football field of the school along with Jay and Zane, waiting for Cole to show up. I saw him jogging towards us with earplugs on.

When he stopped and removed the earplugs, I spoke.''Nice of you to join us,''I said, sarcastically.

''Yeah, you're lucky Wu's running late as well,''Jay said, leaning his eyebrow on my shoulder.

''Am I, Mr. Walker?''Wu's voice was heard from behind us, starling all of us, Jay especially. He screamed a bit and tripped over himself, falling on his butt. Cole and I snickered while Zane helped him up.

''Okay, Ninja, today you will be learning how to be in peace with yourself,''Wu said.

Zane spoke.''What do you mean, Sensei?''he asked.

''You will be mediating,''Wu said as he sat on the ground, cross legged and put his hands on his legs.

''Seriously?''I spoke.''You made us wake up and come here at five in the morning to meditate?''I asked, annoyed.

''Yeah, I was perfectly in peace with myself asleep in my bed too,''Cole spoke.

''Ninja, in order to learn to control your powers and find your true potential you need to find out what's pulling you back from it,''Wu said, not opening his eyes to look at us.

We all looked at each other.''True potential? What's that?''I asked.

''Everything will be revalued with time, Mr. Smith,''Wu answered, sipping something from a cup that appeared from nowhere, then put it next to a teapot that also appeared just now.

''Alright, let's get this done and over it,''Jay said, sitting down.''I wanna go home faster.''He spoke so only the four of us heard.

I sighed and sat down, crossing my legs and copying Sensei, trying to 'come to peace with myself'.

Nya's POV

I woke up before my alarm and looked at the time. 5:40 a.m. How did I wake up so early, I don't know. I got up from the bed and did my bathroom routine, then started walking back to my room. In order to go to my room, I have to pass Kai's. When I did, though, it was quiet. Too quiet. He usually snores way too loud.

I went to the door and knocked.''Kai?''I asked, but got no answer. I opened the door quietly, so I won't wake him up. Unfortunately, there was nobody to wake up. Kai's bed was empty.

I bet he's doing something with that sword, I thought. I went up to his bed and crouched down. The sword was there. I got up and wondered. Where is he?

''Sis?''a voice asked behind me. I turned around to see Kai on the door.''What are you doing in my room?''he asked, putting his phone and earplugs down.

''Umm...''Fast! Think!''I was searching for you.''I said. Good save.

''Oh! Sorry I went for a run and forgot to leave a note,''he said.

''Oh! It's fine, I was just worried for a second,''I said, sweetly.''I will go get ready for school now, you better do it too,''I said.

''Sure thing!''he said and then I went back to my room. There was one tiny little detail, though. If he went running, shouldn't he be sweaty? Because it looked as if he had just taken a bath. I need to find out what he's hiding.

Okay, I know the last part didn't really make sense. BUT! Kai IS supposed to be sweaty after a run, right?
