Sally: You thought of everything right, Nicole?

Nicole: I am the most advanced A.I. there is

Suddenly missiles were shot at the force field and Nicole started to disappear

Sally and Serena: Nicole!

Nicole: Do not worry. I am fine. Really. I just have to reroute that power that would support my holographic form to the shields. Doctor Robotnik is not holding back with his barrage.

Nicole's lower half was now completely gone

Sally: Nicole... That's not fair! You've given us so much and you can't even keep your body long.

Serena: if only there was a way for the shield to stay up and for you to keep a body

Nicole: We can always discuss that another time but even when I'm not physically here I'll always be around. I'll always be near

Nicole completely disappeared and Sally tried not to cry

Sonic: What now?

Sally: I trust Nicole to keep us safe for a good while. We're all too rattled from the invasion to do much right now.

Elias: If we could do much of anything right now anyway.

Serena: I say we wait until those air ships run out of cannon fire.

Sonic: And then?

Serena: Hopefully Eggman brave enough to show his face.

Nicole: I agree. In the meantime everyone should go out and find their new homes

David held Martha's hand

David: Keep your loved ones close to you and be thankful we have them again.

They both looked at Serena

David: As for you, Serena. You need rest.

Serena: But I-

Martha: Eggman almost killed you.

Sally: That's an order.

Sonic laughed a little bit and Serena glared at him

Serena: You're enjoying this aren't you?

Sonic: Hey I didn't say anything.

Serena: Alright I'll go get some rest.

There was another explosion in the distance

Serena: Should be easy with a bunch of missiles currently hitting the force felid.

She headed towards her new home but then saw doctors bandaging Rotor and ran up to him

Serena: Rotor! Are you-?

Rotor: I'm fine. Doctor Quack says I'll be up and around after some therapy.

Serena: ...Did this happen when you saved me?

Rotor: Don't blame yourself. I got to be the hero in action for once, you know?

Serena: I guess that's true...

Rotor was taken to the new hospital. Then Serena saw Bunnie and Antoine sitting on a tree

Serena: Room for one more?

Bunnie: By all means!

Serena stretched her robot arm to climb and sit by the two of them

Serena: It looks almost the exact same from the old city.

Bunnie: I wouldn't know since I joined the Freedom Fighters later on but I sho is a sight to behold.

They both noticed Antoine wouldn't let go of the tree log

Antoine: Eet would be even nicer if Robotnik would stop blastering ze shield.

Serena: That's what I said! But I'm just trying to relax before we get back into the action. Which wasn't easy for me back then.

Bunnie: I was a lil farm girl for the longest while.

Antoine: Oui and I w-was ze crowding craven

Bunnie pulled Antoine next to her

Bunnie: Sho am. You think I'd married you other wise?

Serena: Sally wouldn't have let you come on all those missions. You even inspired me to make this upgrade remember?

Her robot arm became a sword

Antoine: Yes but it will not beat ze original.

Serena's robot arm turned back to normal

Serena: We've come so far. Which is why this will be Eggman's last attack.

Bunnie: I like the way you think! But how can you be so sure?

Serena just glared at Bunnie then got off the tree and walked away

Bunnie: You don't think she wants to...

Antoine: Mon Dieu...

Meanwhile Eggman was in his giant robot punching the force field

Eggman: Come out and face me!! You stole that city from me! It's mine! Stop hiding behind your stupid shield and fight me! Or are you too scared?! I conquered and destroyed your first city! I toyed with Serena as you built your little forest getaway! Then burned it to the ground! I'VE TERRORIZED THE LOT OF YOU FOR ALL YOUR PITIFUL LIVES!

He shot missiles at the shield but it still didn't do anything

Eggman: YOU CANNOT ROB ME OF MY FINAL VICTORY! I WON'T ALLOW IT! NOW GET OUT OF HERE SO I CAN CONQUER YOU AGAIN!

Serena just walked right outside the city

Serena: Hey Eggman! Are you finished whining like the child you are or do you actually want to fight?!

Eggman landed his robot right in front of her

Eggman: We meet again, Serena! But you were a fool to come here alone! Did you forget what happened last time that happened? This battle suit was specifically designed to over power you, Sonic or anyone else who tries to face me!

Serena: Here's the thing Egghead. I'm not alone!

All of the Freedom Fighters were suddenly behind her

Sally: Freedom Fighters! Attack!

Sonic: I like this plan!

Everyone took out Eggman's robot army together.

Serena: You're about to see my latest upgrade up close.

Her robot arm became a blaster cannon and she aimed it at Eggman's robot armor.

Serena: Tails!

Tails grabbed Serena's other hand and flew into the air

Serena: Say goodbye to your life Eggman!!

She fired a laser right through the robot's chest leaving a giant hole

Eggman: No!

Amy hit her hammer on the robots leg causing it to fall over

Sonic: You said all this was a game to you, Eggman

Tails and Serena landed back on the ground then her robot arm went back to normal

Eggman tried to get the robot to stand up but it didn't work

Eggman: No!!

Sonic spin dashed into the glass and Eggman fell onto the grass

Sonic: Well game on, Butt-Nik

Eggman: You won't get away with this-!!

Suddenly Serena grabbed him by the neck with her robot arm.

Serena: ENOUGH! I'm ending this war! Right here! Right now!

Sonic: Wait! Don't do this, Serena! You're better than he is! He's had enough!

Serena: After all he's done?! We're supposed to just let him go?!

Sally: He'll remember he lost.

Serena thought about it and then dropped Eggman.

Eggman: You're really going to pass your only opportunity to stop me?! You'll never get this chance again!

Serena: You're pathetic you know that? Ready to die rather than accept defeat? No. You'll live... But only because I let you. A psychopathic, worthless, good for nothing, wasteful, failure.

Serena's eyes turned back to green while Eggman just glared at her.

Sally: Eggman, you are trespassing on royal grounds. As princess I order you to retreat back to New Megaopolis.

At that moment Nicole appeared next to Sally

Nicole: My friends are showing you more mercy than you deserve, Doctor. I highly suggest you retreat before Serena changes her mind.

Eggman started flying away on a small robot

Eggman: You'll regret this you miserable vermin! I was just toying with you before! Now it's war! I will annihilate you all!

Eventually he was completely gone

Serena: You keep telling yourself that, Eggman.

Sonic put a hand on her shoulder

Sonic: You okay, Cuz?

Serena: Sonic... I'm sorry. I was just going through so much.

Sonic: It's all good. It's good to be home.
