Serena: Do you think we should start looking for Espio? He's been gone for awhile

Knuckles: Agreed. I know he's talented but I can't shake the feeling that something bad is about to
happen.

Rouge walked up to Knuckles

Rouge: never a doubt about his intuition. You and I could go out to find Espio.

Julie-Su saw Rouge getting to close to Knuckles

Julie-Su: She'll do anything!

Rouge: Watch it, Pinky!

Serena facepalmed and sat next to Sonic

Serena: Here I thought we would have a peaceful day but least we can offered some banter every now and then.

Sonic: Things have never been better, Cuz! Knothole is a booming little city, we have our home away from here in HQ.

Serena: I reunited with my parents, Antoine and Bunnie got married, and the freedom fighters finally have time to just relax.

Sonic: While the villains are on the decline. We've already got some of the worst locked away safely. At this rate Eggman's empire will topple in no time at all. But... Is there anything you want to talk about?

Serena: What do you mean?

Sonic: I just feel like you're keeping something from me that's all.

Serena was shocked and stood up

Serena: It's called being cautious! Not like you know what that means.

Sonic felt bad as Serena walked to her computer next to Rotor and turned it on

Serena: Nicole is everything okay? I haven't gotten any updates from you yet.

Nicole: I believe I'm fine. I will run a diagnostic now.

Serena: Sounds good. We'll make sure Snively or Eggman didn't do anything.

She looked at Rotor

Serena: Rotor anything on your end?

Rotor: Not right now. But I wanted to ask you something.

Serena: Sure what's up?

Rotor: You and Sonic have kinda been at odds. Is everything okay?

Serena: There's been a little tension since I found my parents... I don't know why but I feel like Sonic doesn't fully trust them. But he just needs to get to know them more! So everything's going to be just fine!

Rotor: If you say so!

He smiled and blushed a little but then suddenly the alarms started to go off

Serena: Huh? Nicole, what's-?

Nicole: Diagnostic complete! System compromised! We're under attack!

Serena and Rotor: What?!

At that moment the a giant robot that Snively was controlling ripped off the ceiling

Snively: Knock knock my friends!

Rotor saw a big rock falling towards Serena

Rotor: Look out!!

He pushed her out of the way and the rock hit is back

Rotor: AH!!

Serena got back up and saw Rotor laying on the floor

Serena: Rotor!

Rotor was suddenly zapped by a laser and vaporized

Serena: NO!

Everyone else was also zapped and vaporized

Snively: Hahaha! Just like fish in a barrel!

Serena: You're not the only one with a laser!

Serena's robot arm became a blaster cannon and was ready to fire

Snively: Aww that's cute

Snively got ready to shoot again

Sonic: SERENA!!!

Sonic pushed Serena out of the way and was blasted instead causing him to get vaporized

All: SONIC!!!

Snively: Oops... Eggman was supposed to-

Mighty punched Snively's robot in the chest and yanked off his arm

Serena: Mighty get back!

Mighty: No! He did the same to Ray!

Snively: Fine! Don't want you to feel left out!

He blasted Mighty vaporizing him

Serena: Mighty!

She activated her rocket boots and flew up to Snively

Serena: You'll PAY for that!!

Snively: Don't bother! Since my work here is done! After all...

There was another explosion and Serena crashed onto the crash

Snively: I was only the distraction!

Serena: Only the distraction?

Serena slowly got back up and saw Knothole on fire

Serena: No... NO!

She flew through the town and everything was gone

Serena: The lake... Chuck's diner... My home...

Serena landed on the ground, fell on her knees and started crying

Serena: M-M-My family...

Suddenly the castle blew up

Serena: The kingdom!!

A giant robot walked through the fire with Eggman inside of it

Eggman: I wanted to have Sonic for myself but you'll do just fine, Rodent.

Serena: Y-You took everyone I ever cared about!! They're all gone because of YOU!

Eggman: Captured, Serena. Snively and I used an enhanced teleporting beam. They've been transported to my egg grapes. There it will be the end.

Serena stood up from the ground

Serena: I'm still standing! I can still stop you just like Sonic!

Eggman: Ha! I'm surprised you still have your confidence after so many failures or did you forget how you almost became one of my slaves?!

He shot multiple missiles towards Serena

Serena: Key word being 'almost'!

She dodged every one and even threw the last missile right back at the robot with her robot arm but that didn't do anything

Serena: What the...

Eggman: You'll never be deroboticized along with Bunnie! Even Sonic's father is still a robot!

Serena flew up to Eggman and punched his shield but it didn't do anything

Eggman: Or what about your parents? They missed your entire childhood stuck in another dimension! I was planning on roboticizing both of them. Starting with your mother!

Serena punched the robot's helmet multiple times but it still did nothing

Serena: STOP TALKING!!!

Eggman: That's it? That's your witty comeback? I except more from the cousin of Sonic The Hedgehog.

Serena: You think this is some kind game?!

Eggman: You thought the resistance actually had a chance to stop my empire?

He punched the ground barely missing Serena as she jumped out of the way

Eggman: The world fell to me so quickly and so easily! That I was left with nothing to do! I allowed you Freedom Fighters to exist so I could entertain myself!

Serena: Lier!

She ducked from a kick

Serena: You tried and failed to beat us before! You're just saying that so you don't hurt your pride!

Eggman: I will concede you all have won my little war games more times than I can count but so what? Is Mobius any more free than I was ten years ago?

Serena: Fine! We may not winning but we're also not losing-!

Eggman shot lasers at Serena but she flew out of the way

Eggman: Your futile actions amuse me so! You'll never win this battle! You can't!

Serena: I'll prove you wrong! I'm not out yet!

Eggman suddenly punched her onto the ground again damaging her rocket boots

Serena: Come on! Not now!

Eggman: Ha! See?! This suit is designed to match and out class any and all of your abilities! I saw your data when you were in the Roboticizer that day. I know all of your limits.

Serena was shocked and slowly got back up

Serena: Limits? LIMITS?!?

Her eyes went from green to red then the rockets boots started working at full power and started flying towards Eggman

Serena: I DON'T NEED ANY GOD DAMN LIMITS!!!

She was about to punch Eggman in the chest with everything she had but he just grabbed Serena with his giant robot arm

Eggman: You may be Sonic's cousin...

The robot grabbed onto Serena's robot arm and her robot leg

Eggman: But you were never a hero

He yanked Serena's robot limbs right off

Serena: AHHHH!!!

Eggman dropped her and she hit the ground

Eggman: You're out matched, out classed, out sped and most of all... Out smarted.

Serena was about to pass out

Eggman: I'm going back to my base to freshen up. Then everyone you've ever known or cared for will be tuned into fuel for my city. And you'll be left here. Helpless.

Serena: I-I...

Eggman: I'm not playing with you, Girl. Try to find anyone for this little friend group but you'll realize no one will join you. So perish like the weakling you are but even then you will never escape this humiliation!!

Eggman's robot flew away and Serena fell on the floor unconscious.
