Sonic and Serena were walking outside

Serena: I still don't understand why the king approved the Metal Sonic troopers... I said it wouldn't end well!

Sonic: Don't worry, Cuz. A little doomsday device can't stop me!

Serena: I know I'm just saying.

Sonic: Also does this mean you're staying for good this time?

Serena: Yeah I think it's time I stick around and I have one more thing to mention

She opened the door to the old base revealing a party as they both walked inside

All: Happy birthday!

Sonic: Whoa!

Tails: Happy birthday!

Fiona hugged him

Fiona: Happy birthday, Handsome.

Serena just glared at her

Sonic: You guys fixed the old base!

Serena: It was Tails's idea

Tails: But you helped the most!

Then Sally and her brother Elias walked up to Sonic

Elias: A place for the Freedom Fighters to plan, a new focal point for Doctor Robotnik that is away from our families.

Sally: And has stepped back to simpler times happy birthday, Sonic

Suddenly the wall blew up revealing Bean the Dynamite and Bark the Polar Bear

Sonic: Aww! Eggman shouldn't have! Sweet that he remembered though!

Bean threw a bomb but Sonic dodged it and Bark's fist

Sonic: With Nack in jail I guess he had to shop for new thugs. You look like quite the fighter!

Bean was about to throw another bomb but Serena grabbed his arm

Serena: Also It's called a 'rhyme' and here's one. I'll hit you like a brick. Because you two are so sick. So you better think quick!

She threw Bean onto the ground but he literally bounced back up

Bean: Not bad! But I'm way better!

Sonic pinned Bean against the wall

Sonic: Timeout, Buddy! I think there's been a mistake! There's a jerk who looks like me who caused a some trouble a bit back and-

Bean: No mistake there Mister Needlemouse! So you got an evil twin? Frankly, Cobalt? I don't give a darn!

He started pulling on Sonic's quills

Bark blocked her path so she started fighting him instead. Then Fiona grabbed keys that were on a table

Fiona: I hope this still works... Hey Bean!

Bean looked at Fiona

Bean: What now?!

Fiona: See the keys? The shiny keys? You want them?

Bean: Shiny?!

Fiona threw the keys out the window

Fiona: Go get it!

He jumped out the window to get the keys

Sonic: Nice move, Fiona but... How did you-

Fiona saw Serena and the others corner Bark

Fiona: Uh hold that thought, Sonic.

They both walked up to Bark ready to fight

Fiona: You're out-

Serena: You're outnumbered! It's ten against one!

Fiona glared at Serena for interrupting her then Bark put his hands up and sat down

Fiona: I'm glad you're still reasonable.

Serena: Good. Now that that's settled...

She pointed at Fiona

Serena: I want answers! As a matter of fact we all do, Fiona!

Fiona: Sorry for helping out. Go team...

Serena: You know what I mean! How do you know those guys?

Fiona: Look I... I've had a checkered past okay? I haven't always been a freedom fighter

Serena was still suspicious but let it go for now as Sonic comforted Fiona

At that moment Shadow walked in holding Bean who was unconscious

Shadow: No need. Happy birthday, Blue hedgehog. I cleaned your yard for you.

Sonic: So what's the occasion, Faker? As you can see my dance card is full.

Shadow: I did not come to fight you or Serena.

Serena: Uh... Thanks?

Shadow: I came to thank you.

Shadow: Without you the Metal Sonic Troops would've killed Hope. You were there for her when I should have been. So... Thank you.

Shadow shook Sonic's hand

Shadow: Know that this changed nothing. For the moment I work with Doctor Robotnik and we are enemies

Sonic: it'd be boring otherwise. Feel free to get a clue and quit Eggman anytime though

Shadow: Worried?

Sonic: You wish faker!

Bunnie looked around and didn't see Bean

Bunnie: Hey has anybody seen Bean lately?

Rotor pointed to Bean on the computer talking to Eggman

Rotor: He'a in the brain trust's room! And he has Dr. Robotnik on the line!

Serena: I got this.

Eggman currently yelling at Bean

Bean: Yeah we got beat... So what?

Eggman (on the computer): SO WHAT?! I should've never trusted a Mobian to do a robots job! You're fired! I'm sending one of my own to finish the job!

Suddenly Serena grabbed Bean

Serena: I'm started to get tired of your tricks!

Bean: Aww but they're so much fun!

Eggman saw Serena standing there

Eggman: Long time no see Serena! Still recovering from what I did to you?

Serena glared at him

Serena: If anything this made me stronger

She clenched her robot hand as Sonic stood next to her

Sonic: What are you sending now Eggman? Your newest toys broke easily.

Serena dropped Bean on top of Bark

Eggman: I'm launching it now Sonic! Happy birthday! HAHAHAHA!!

The computer shut off and Sonic was a little worried

Sonic: Launch? Incoming missile?

Serena checked a smaller computer

Serena: No I think it's a one way transport-

Suddenly they all heard something crash outside

Sonic: That was fast.

The Freedom Fighters ran outside and saw a egg shaped ship stuck in the ground

Sonic: Who wants to bet he sent his egg piñata of doom?

A robot with tentacles started to crawl out of the ship

???: Alone we were threats. Combined we are a nightmare!

It stood up completely
