We both raised her up on her feet and helped her to reach her room. She opened the door and fell immediately on her bed before going to sleep. Alter Ego and I shrugged and closed the door behind before locking it.

The next day...

Y/N: Did you gave Dana her key?

Alter Ego: I'll do that at the end of the day, we're going to be late at this rate.

Y/N: What are you talking about, we're right next to where we are supposed to be.

She looked around and her eyes widened a little.

Y/N: Anyway, I got a work to do so see you later.

I walked out of the room and made my way to the lower level of the department where the new abnormality was. I checked the numbers and they matched with what I was supposed to work with.

Y/N's mind: Let's do this.

I opened the door and walked inside.

Y/N: Alright, I'm supposed to do Repression....

I took out my weapon, which was a cross and looked at the abnormality. It stared back at me almost like it was waiting for me.

Y/N: Eat shit dumbass.

I walked closer and smashed my weapon against the abnormality. It moved backward a little but I kept hitting it just like I was ordered to. I wasn't gonna let that thing stop me and swung my weapon once more.

*Beep*

Intercom: 8 PE boxes successfully produced.

Y/N's mind: That must be new.

As I was about to leave, the abnormality approached me and tried to circle me with its wings. As it did that, I saw multiple images flying through my brain at a rapid rate but I could determine what I was seeing. I was seeing a ton people dying on the floor along with an organ playing in the background.

Y/N: N-N-No! Nononononononononononono-

I ran out of the room and my vision darkened until I couldn't see anything.

Alter Ego's P.O.V.

Alter Ego: He's taking his time.

I waited on my seat and looked at the one Y/N would be sitting on by now. I sighed and looked around until I heard the alarm going off.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Y/N has fallen into a panicked state, suppression is needed immediately!

Alter Ego: !

I jumped out of my seat and ran out of the room, trying to find where he was and I found him pretty quickly since he was in the next room, killing other workers.

Y/N: No more! I can't do it anymore!

He yelled those words as he opened the skull of one of our coworkers with his blunt weapon. Blood was flowing everywhere and the employees were running around in panic, some of them even shot themselves with their weapons.

Alter Ego: Snap out of it Y/N!

I took out my cross and charged at him and smashed the side of my weapon on the top of his head. He turned around and tried to punch me in the neck. I swiftly dodged and held his neck before applying a light pressure on it.

Y/N: I don't want to! Not anymore!

Alter Ego: I'm sorry.

He tried to struggle his way out of my grasp but I kept going until his eyes closed, signaling me that he fell unconscious with the lack of air.

Alter Ego: ...

I grabbed his body and carried him inside the main room of our department.

Alter Ego: You can stay here.

I placed him on 3 chairs aligned together and checked the quota needed for the day.

Alter Ego: Only 31 PE boxes and the second shift will take over.

I sat next to him and placed my hand next to his neck to make sure he was breathing and he was. I sighed in relief, knowing that I didn't kill him by accident.

Alter Ego: ...

I suddenly remembered that it was mostly because of the new abnormality that he went insane. I frowned at that thought and my weapon thightly before standing up.

I walked out of the room and made my way to the lower level and checked the name written next to the door.

I opened the door and saw the "Plague doctor" standing before me. I glared at the entity and raised my weapon, I was ready to beat this thing until I wouldn't be able to move my arms.

Back to Y/N...

Y/N: ...

I opened my eyes slowly and found myself in my room, like nothing happened.

Alter Ego: Are you alright?

I turned my head around and saw Alter Ego with a worried expression on her face. I held my head and answered.

Y/N: I have a sore throat and a fucking headache so I'll go with no.

Alter Ego: I'm sorry to know that.

Y/N: I just want to sleep...

Alter Ego: I mean, it's already past 8 PM.

I looked at the time and saw the numbers 8:12 glowing in the darkness of the room.

Y/N: What happened during the shift?

Alter Ego: ...Nothing important, you don't need to remember honestly.
