She laughed, an innocent laugh that this facility could easily drown with its madness. We both parted ways, promising to meet each other once the shift is over. I slowly walked down the stairs and my work began with no Tiphereth in sight.

Y/N's mind: Did something happen?

Maybe Angela asked for her once more but I highly doubt it. I would like to assume that she's just talking to another Sephirah, only to remember what happened at the end of my shift. With not much to do while waiting for her to come back, I sat down and looked at the time pass in silence, the office workers performing their duties like usual.

Oh well, I guess I still have tasks to do. I stood up and made my way to the Disciplinary team, where the elevator I need to take to reach the Extraction team will be waiting for me. Passing by, I couldn't see Gebura anywhere either, leaving me with even more questions.

Y/N: ?

I turned my head around and saw Binah looking into my eyes with a smile in the corner of her lips. I silently stood still and watched her, my legs refusing to move from where they were.

???: Miss Binah, was another assignment sent here?

A female voice luckily broke the silence, a girl calmly walking inside the main room, reviewing documents in her hands.

Binah: Hana, a surprise to see you come back so early.

Of course, she was not surprised at all. The girl ignored that fact and stepped under the light of the room, facing the both of us.

I walked past the both of them and entered the corridor ending with a wall surprisingly. I was expecting a door but nothing, simply a wall. I shrugged it off and entered the containment room I had to reach. I quickly performed my usual routine when visiting for the first time an abnormality.

Y/N: Shouldn't be too bad.

She asked to her respective Sephirah, writing down something at the same time. Meanwhile, Binah silently averted her gaze to the corridor that Y/N entered, not answering. Hana sighed and didn't even bother insisting, not much would be gained anyway.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Y/N has fallen into a panicked state, suppression is needed immediately! Sane employees left: 18.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Alter Ego has fallen into a panicked state, suppression is needed immediately! Sane employees left: 17.

The one facing the panicking employee witnessed the office workers screaming as well, chaos spreading like fire inside the department. Slowly, the escaped abnormality emerged from the door and faced her.

Hana: We're all going to die...

She whispered under her breath, her legs shaking along with her arms. Its [CENSORED] moved and grabbed one of the office workers, who could only scream before being [CENSORED] and [CENSORED].

Office worker: I can't take it anymore!

The employee took out his gun and pointed the barrel at his head, leaving this world with a loud bang. Meanwhile, Hana was forced to witness the [CENSORED] [CENSORED].

Hana: I WANNA GO HOME!!!

Intercom: Warning! Employee Hana has fallen into a panicked state, suppression needed immediately! Sane employees left: 16.

Her mind too fragile to witness the horror done in the corridor, she ran away with her weapon held in her hands. One of the workers ran in her way and she cleaved through him effortlessly, aiming for the exit with an evil grin.

Hana: I'll kill all of you, all of you!!

Daniel: What the hell is going on?!

Intercom: Warning! Heroic Monk has escaped containment!

Intercom:  Warning! Little Red Riding hooded mercenary has escaped containment!

He yelled loudly while gunning down a small clown trying to free an abnormality, sweats going down his face. Meanwhile, Hava was masterfully swinging her scythe around, fighting against Alter Ego. Hava's playful attitude was gone and she was carefully placing her hits on her previous ally.

Alter Ego: Y/N!! Where are you?! Please tell me!! I don't want to be alone again!!

Hava: Tch, I can't bring her back, we need support!

Daniel: Elis! Over here!

He called the girl in his department and saw her entering the room, carrying the Knight of Despair's armor and weapon. She bravely brandished it and went for a quick stab, the sharp end of the sword stabbing the panicking girl. Her attack was completely ignored and hers remained fast.

Intercom: Warning! Army in Black has escaped containment!

Daniel: Shit, everything is breaching!

Elis: What can we do?!

Suddenly, a loud alarm blared through the whole facility repeatedly, leaving the ones fighting off Alter Ego surprised for a moment.

Intercom: Warning! Rabbit protocol engaged in Central Command team and Disciplinary team, commencing purging of named areas!

Hava: Hey, help me instead of standing still!

Daniel: R-Right!

Quickly placing himself, he pressed the trigger and began shooting the girl while Elis was assisting Hava from a short range. The flurry of hits done by the rapier caused Alter Ego to slowly snap out of her insanity.

Alter Ego: H-Huh? What's going on?

Intercom: Warning! Big Bird has escaped containment!

Daniel: Everything is falling apart, we need to take care of those clowns!

He yelled over the loud alarms and shot a second clown that tried to sneak past them. Alter Ego glanced down at her feet and held the hat on top of her head with one hand.

Alter Ego: I don't remember, what happened?

Daniel: You tell us. From our point of view, you suddenly started to attack random employees when the intercom said that Y/N panicked.

Alter Ego: Y/N?! Where is he?

Hava: No idea but he isn't dead yet, we should hurry befo-

Then a wave of shivers went through Hava's body, her instinct telling her that something bad was happening right now. Her eyes widened and that was her last action before bells began to ring through the facility.

Alter Ego: What's going on?

Hava: ...

She couldn't answer, her legs trembling for once. She looked at the other side of the room with a fear that she was hoping to forget, she hoped that it would vanish, only to come back once the bells rang.

Intercom: ...And I tell you, you are Skylock the apostle, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Alter Ego: What's going on?

Hava: It's... it's...

Intercom: Tell us, when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age.

Daniel: I don't like this, this day is getting worse with each seconds.

The girl in question dropped to her knees, her irises trembling just like her body. Her traumas emerging from the back of her mind.

The bells were deafening, signaling the end of the vices of this place. The purge was starting and none of them will ever see the result of their work.

Daniel, the last one to ever hold her looked at her transformation with horrified eyes, his shock stopping him from screaming the loss of the one he loved.

Intercom: From now on, let no one cause me trouble, for I bear on my body the marks of him.

Hava: It's over, true hell has descended upon us.

Alter Ego: ...

She was frozen, unable to leave her eyes from the newly transformed Elis, looking at them with disinterest.

Intercom: Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.

The newly reborn Elis snapped back to reality and looked down at those who were her friends. Daniel watched her with horror, seeing the one he knew turning into an abomination. That entity swung its spear down and stabbed the man in the head, killing him instantly.

Then, the apostle behind them charged in their direction, stopping for them the suffering of knowing that everything was lost. The bells hid their deaths and everything fell down into chaos with no hope of stopping it.

...That was where that day ended, a game over that would permanently change the facility.
