She blushed too as a response to my question and I did the same before averting my gaze on the opposite side of her, not wanting to let her see me embarrassed. We both reached the facility and then heard a woman yelling at some employees, who immediately followed her orders before running off further away from us.

Y/N: What do you think is going on?

Alter Ego: I have no idea...

She said that calmly and I then heard some footsteps behind us, making me turn my head in the direction of them.

???: Hey you 2- No way, Y/N?!

I looked at the person in front of me and I saw a woman with long hair, hiding one of her red eyes with her hair wearing a weird black and white outfit. She was also carrying a long black scythe too, probably the weapon given to her along with the outfit.

Y/N: Do I know you?

I asked that in confusion, not remembering who she could be.

???: You don't remember me? I'm Hava, remember when we fought against those abnormalities during that massive breach?

Y/N: ...No?

Alter Ego: Hava!

Looks like Alter Ego knows her since they both gave each other a handshake without a single second of hesitation.

I facepalmed myself and groaned before walking back to the Central Command department, where Tiphereth decided that I should spend the rest of my time helping her with some documents.

I stared at some papers in front of me, feeling like I've done this a thousands of times before.

I saw her looking with a sad look in the direction of the table, a pained expression, something was clearly bothering her about the question that I asked.

Her hands cleched into fists and I saw her gritting her teeth while holding back some tears. She then got up and ran away. I tried to call out to her but she was gone before I could do anything, leaving me alone.

Y/N: ...Now I feel bad.

That feeling was then interrupted when I was ordered to go work with the Knight of despair. I got up and walked to the containment room before stepping inside. I was greeted by the tall woman crying to herself.

Y/N: ...Do you need a hug? I heard that a hug could help when you feel down.

I opened my arms and slowly walked closer before hugging her body, my face now stuck in her chest since I was shorter than her.

Y/N's mind: Maybe it wasn't a good idea now that I think about it.

I soon felt the woman blocking me by circling her arms around me. More pressure was applies to my back and I was literally shoved into her breast. At first I didn't mind since I was expecting her to let go of me but I then felt the oxygen in my lungs running out.

Y/N's mind: I'm gonna fucking die!

I tried to struggle and then the pressure getting weaker, allowing me to take a new deep breath. I coughed a little and then saw one of her hands touching my lips, a neutral look on her face while doing so.

Y/N: Hm? Yea... I may have been kissed by an abnormality but... meh, it's not that important.

KoD: ...

I could feel a dark aura forming around her and I tried to step away from her but before I could do that, I was forced back beside her.

Y/N: ...I don't think Angela will like me staying in one containment room for the whole day.

KoD: ...

She ignored my words and I silently stared at her while watching the time passing by. I took a moment to stay silent and then leaned myself agaisnt her.

Y/N: Then don't mind me using you as a pillow because I'm gonna do that.

No reaction, I guess she doesn't mind. I silently stared at the door in front of me, so close yet so far from freedom. I waited for a bit and then I saw the door opening, allowing me to see Alter Ego.

Alter Ego: ...What's going in here?

Y/N: I became her body pillow... I think.

Alter Ego: ...

She glanced at the abnormality and then grabbed me before puling me away from her. I felt the abnormality's grasp getting stronger when she did that but I was soon freed from her.

Y/N: Thanks.

Alter Ego: No problem Y/N.

We both walked outside of the containment room and I faintly heard the abnormality crying behind me. I ignored its cries and stepped outside before taking a deep breath, finally able to move freely.

Y/N: By the way, what were you talking about with that girl?

Alter Ego: ...I don't think you would believe me if I told you.

Y/N: Why not? I don't really have reason to doubt you Alter Ego.

Alter Ego: Later... I'll tell you later.

Y/N: Fine, please stay safe too, I wouldn't want to see you die.

She blushed and nodded rapidly before walking away, almost hiding her face from the others walking past her.

Y/N's mind: ...She's having a hard time hiding her feelings.

Intercom: Unknown entities detected inside the facility!

Y/N: When are these fucking things gonna stop appearing?!

I yelled that while shooting down a robot. Meanwhile, Alter Ego was making short work of the machines producing them, quickly turning them into nothingness.

Alter Ego: Got it!

It crumbled into pieces and she immediately rushed to assist me, cutting in half one of the threats attacking me.

Y/N: Thanks!

We defeated the enemies in the room and caught our breath before glancing at each other.

Y/N: Is it over?

Alter Ego: ...I don't know.

Intercom: PE quota successfully reached, end of the first shift.

Y/N: Thank god it's over.

I felt something grabbing me and when I turned around, I saw Alter Ego leaning herself against me, her eyes closed with a smile on her face.

Alter Ego: Finally done.

Y/N: ...You still have to explain me the conversation that you had with Hava.

Alter Ego: I didn't forget, don't worry.

She lowered her grasp and held my hand before looking into my eyes, a kind expression comforting me from the work that I did against the machines surrounding us.

Alter Ego: I would never forget about a promise between each other.

Y/N: ...

I couldn't say anything back to her. I simply smiled and we both started to walk away. During the walk, I felt a familiar sensation of nostalgia, almost like we did this a long time ago.

Y/N's mind: I'm having a lot of feelings of deja vu... weird.

Angela: This is... rather inconvenient.

The AI mumbled that to herself as she was watching the security cameras. She then gracefully stood up and walked away from the desk, the sound of her red high heels echoing in the room.

Angela: Not only did one managed to... leave her assigned room but the other nuisance is now also self-aware.
