Y/N: This is the main room, where most of the employees rest when they don't work with abnormalities.

I said that with a calm voice as I showed the person following me the whole facility. She trusted my abilities to show Michelle what this place had to offer and I wouldn't disappoint her.

Michelle: ...

Y/N: You don't have to worry, you won't have to approach the abnormalities, that's what we're here for.

I tapped her shoulder and a small smile formed on her face before taking my hand with hers. I smiled back and we continued our walk, telling her what she would need to know in order to perform well.

Y/N: Is there a problem?

I asked the rather small girl and saw her touching her fingers together, sitting alone at her table. I took a seat next to her and saw a shy look in her eyes, she couldn't gather the courage to talk to the others.

Y/N: ...I see. You don't mind if I eat with you?

She silently shook her head and placed my left hand under her chin before slowly raising it. She looked at me and her cheeks turned red.

Y/N: Don't worry about the others, they won't hurt you.

She smiled at me and we both ate our food together, not minding the presence of the other person.

Michelle: Y/N...

She called my name and I turned around, seeing her petite figure standing in the doorway of my office.

Y/N: Michelle, do you need something?

She stepped inside the room and placed a plate with a sandwhich on it. I stared a moment at the food and glanced at her with a smile.

Michelle: You... skipped the break so...

Y/N: You made me this?

She nodded while lightly biting her lip. I patted her head and she lowered her gaze to the bland floor. However, I could still see her smiling, probably happy that I appreciated her efforts.

Y/N: Thank you.

Y/N: Hey Michell-

I stopped when I saw her on the phone with someone. She also stopped and looked at me before looking back at her phone.

Y/N: Oh sorry, I should have knocked, my bad.

Michelle: It's... it's fine.

I nodded and stepped outside but remained beside the door. I'm not the type to eavesdrop on someone but the expression on Michelle's face worried me, it was an expression of panic.

Michelle: I'm sorry, it was-

She stopped, probably because the other person stopped her and she continued after a few seconds.

Michelle: Y/N.

Y/N's mind: Is she talking with her parents or what?

I remained silent and continued listening to the conversation.

Michelle: H-Huh? You will arrive soon? When-

She stopped once more.

Michelle: But... can I at least ask Y/N.

Michelle: Thank you Garrion.

I walked away before she could see me and pretended to walk back in the direction of her office. I knocked at the door and saw her smiling at me but her feet were shaking.

...Something didn't feel right.

Y/N: What do you mean?

I asked that with a shocked expression. Michelle told me that the both of us should leave as soon as possible.

Michelle: I can explain everything later but we have to go, please!

She grabbed my hand and I looked at her with a confused look, not understanding what she was saying.

Y/N: I can't leave my duty Michelle, you know that.

Michelle: P-Please, I'm leaving but I don't want to go alone.

Y/N: I-

I then heard an explosion in the distance, making me turn my head around. The tugging on my sleeve was almost non-existent now.

Michelle: We have to go-

Y/N: What... Shit! I have to go warn Kali!

I removed Michelle's hand from my sleeve and hurried out of the room, ignored her scream, begging me to stay with her.

...Red Mist can deal with it, I know that she can.

Y/N: ...

I slowly woke up in the main room of the Security team alongside Alter Ego, who's currently unconscious and glanced around. I saw some employees running around in a hurry and I also noticed the bright colors of QoH's outfit.

QoH: Y/N, you're came back!

She grabbed my hand and I felt her warmth, making me realize how cold I was. I got back on my feet and touched Alter Ego's neck in order to feel her heartbeat.

Y/N: ...I can't feel anything.

I looked at the others and saw Daniel grabbing Alter Ego's hand for a moment before a comment left his mouth.

Daniel: The body is still warm, nothing changed.

Y/N: What do you mean?

He looked at me and shook his head in an apologetic way, a sad look in his face.

Daniel: When you both fell unconscious, her heart stopped but no signs of death was seen... We don't know why but we think that she's still alive, just barely.

Y/N: What are we supposed to do to help her?

Daniel: ...That's the question, how?

I looked around and noticed that the alarms stopped. I glanced at the person next to me and he silently nodded, the day was over.

Y/N: Hey Queenie-

QoH: Queenie?

Y/N: It's a nickname.

QoH: O-Oh, I see.

She blushed a little but I ignore dit, not interested by something as trivial as this. I grabbed Alter Ego's hand and looked at her.

Y/N: Could you do something about this?

QoH: ...

She remained silent and raised her staff in the air before pointing it in the unconscious girl. A pink aura formed around her and slowly vanished into the air, nothing changed.

Y/N: ...It didn't worked?

???: Y/N...

I turned my head and saw Hod walking inside the room with a tired look on her face, almost looking like a zombie.

Y/N: Hod, what happened to you?

Hod: The... Enkephalin was... a little too much for me.

She almost tripped in her feet and regained her balance with the wall next to her. She slowly made her way across the room and looked at me with a tired look before looking at the hand that I was holding.

Hod: ...Is she...

Y/N: We don't know, no heartbeat but her body is keeping it's warmth.

Hod: I see...

She looked at the ground and remained like that for an instant before looking back at me,.

Hod: I'm sorry... it probably is my fault-

Y/N: Probably not, only the both of us fell unconscious so it probably isn't that bad.

I grabbed Alter Ego in my arms and I turned my head towards Daniel.

Y/N: I'm gonna take her to my room to rest, it's better than sleeping on the floor.

Daniel: Be careful on the way there.

Y/N: I will.

I walked away, feeling like I should know something important. Hod's visage kept popping into my mind along with a thought "Her name isn't Hod, it's Michelle."

...However, I couldn't figure out why her name was Michelle. Am I just going crazy or maybe it is indeed her name and nobody is aware of it.
