Alter Ego's P.O.V.

I dragged Y/N away from Queen of Hatred and then picked him up before rushing to a safer place. The emergency team quickly understood the problem and we were both sent to a separate room where they would be able to take care of him.

Alter Ego: What do you mean I can't stay?

Employee: We can't let someone else in the room, it's procedure, you will be able to see him after everything is stabilized.

Alter Ego: *Sigh* Fine.

I started walking away but stopped at the door before looking back at them.

Alter Ego: However, try anything and I'll blow your heads off with this rifle.

Employee: U-Understood.

I turned back at opened the door before waiting outside, thightly holding my weapon in my hands as I watching the only thing separating me from making sure that Y/N was fine.

???: Quite a surprise to see you here.

I turned around and my eyes widened a little, not in surprise but in fear.

Alter Ego: A-Angela?

She was standing beside me, giving me a somewhat hateful stare, giving me shivers down my whole body. I remained still and looked at her walking closer before stopping in front of me.

Angela: However, you can leave now, an employee has no reason to remain here.

Alter Ego: ...No, I'm staying for Y/N.

Angela remained still for a moment and she turned her head before responding coldly to what I just said.

Angela: I will take over, your shift is currently not over, leave.

Alter Ego: ...

I wanted to protest but there was nothing I could do, I would get "fired" if I tried anything right now. I got up and started walking away before getting stopped by the voice of the AI behind me.

Angela: A reminder for you from myself, stay away from Y/N if you wish to see the light of the next day.

Alter Ego: ...

I ignored her and continued walking, going back to my department.

Like hell I'm going to stop, I'm gonna keep talking to him if I want to.

The next day...

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around, seeing that I was back in my bed, inside my room. I left the blankets and looked at myself in the mirror, still the same as usual. I checked under my suit but there was no traces of the spears, like I never got stabbed by them to begin with.

Y/N's mind: I know for sure that I did get stabbed, this is weird.

I walked out of the room and quietly made my way to the Security team and when I entered, I saw Tiphereth looking around, clearly looking for something.

Y/N: Can I help you?

She turned around and walked in my direction before grabbing my hand.

Tiphereth: You are in my department, what are you doing here?

Y/N: Huh? I didn't know about that-

Tiphereth: Come on, we shouldn't stay here with... them.

She said that while glaring at the employees minding their own business. I felt like her hatred was unjustified but I didn't say anything. I followed her and we both took a staricase going down and I was greeted by an enormous department, thrice the size of any of the departments I saw so far.

Y/N: Wow, this place is huge compared to the other departments.

Tiphereth: I am happy that you like it because it's better than the ones on the upper floor.

Y/N: ...If you say so.

I felt less contained in a small room, I had more place to walk around, giving me some air to breath. I then felt something vibrating around my wrist and when  I checked, I saw a watch firmly attached to it, telling me where to go.

Y/N's mind: So this is like the screen from the upper departments.

I walked all the way to the end of the room, went down the stairs and made my way across the second room before seeing 2 doors to my right. I checked the watch and saw that I had to take the first one and I did as it asked.

Y/N: ...Wasn't expecting to see that.

I watched the woman in the room sitting next to the piano and I loudly cleared my throat, no response.

Y/N: Hello?

She ignored my question and I gave up before looking at the instrument beside her. I sat in front of it and cracked my knuckles before looking at it.

Y/N: ...I never practiced piano before, oh well, here goes nothing.

I touched one of the keys and a sound came out of it. I sighed before trying to compose a melody but I quickly began touching the keys at a rapid rate, like my body knew what to do. I silently listened to the melody and flet actually surprised about how nice everything sounded.

Y/N: ...

The rate of the keys pressed decreased and it came to a stop. As I stopped, I heard someone clapping their hands behind me. I turned around and the woman was still in her original position when I walked inside.

Intercom: 20 PE boxes successfully produced!

Y/N: ...Thanks?

I left the seat and bowed in front of her, showing her my respect. She remained still but I then saw her bowing a little at me too, making me smile a little.

...I then left the room and returned to the main room, where I could rest. I took a moment to understand how I was able to play so perfectly but I couldn't find a reason.

*Beep*

I looked at my watch and I followed the directions I was asked to take, back to Queen of Hatred's room. I entered and waved at her before taking out my notepad, ready to write some notes...

...that I didn't take in the end since we played some games together but I felt less at ease around her, knowing what she could do.

QoH: Hey Y/N, do you know what happened yesterday?

Y/N: Yesterday?

QoH: Yes, I can't remember anything.

Y/N: ...You attacked me and greatly injuried me.

QoH: What?!

She looked at me with worried eyes and grabbed my arm before looking at me.

QoH: I'm sorry, I really am! I don't know how it happened but I will try to make sure it doesn't happen!

Y/N: I'm fine, you don't need-

QoH: How could I forgive myself for doing something like this?

She started mumbling to herself and I stood awkwardly next to her until she turned her hea din my direction.

Intercom: 20 PE boxes successfully produced!

QoH: I know, I'll keep a watch on you!

Y/N: What?

QoH: Nothing can harm you if I'm here to protect you!

Y/N: I don't need-

QoH: It's decided, Magical girl is now your guardian angel!

She thightly hugged my arm with a large smile on her face, glad about the decision she took for herself. I rolled my eyes and pressed the screen beside the door leading out of the containment unit and took the emergency phone next to it.

Employee: Emergency response, what is your emergency?

Y/N: I'm currently in Queen of Hatred's room and the abnormality is trying to leave along with me from the room, please-

She then grabbed the phone and placed it back where it was, giving me a pout.

QoH: You don't need anyone else to help you, I'm already here.

Y/N: You can't leave the room-

QoH: Why not?

Y/N: *Sigh* Nevermind then.

I left the room, followed by the magical girl and I returned to my new department, the Central Command team. The employees there looked at Queen of Hatred with suspiscious eyes and quietly walked away from her.

QoH: Wow, this place is massive, it reminds me of the mansion of one of my previous enemies.

Y/N: ...Great.

I walked around, writing some reports until I was called to work once more with the musician lady. I slowly walked there and I was once more followed by the abnormality that decided that it was it's duty to protect me.

Y/N: Seriously, you don't have to do this.

QoH: But I am doing it because I am a hero, we have to help each other!

Y/N: ...

I opened the door and walked inside, nodding to the woman still standing on her cushioned seat. I sat once more in front of the piano and once more tried to play something and the same result as before happened.

...Except that this time, I heard 2 people clapping their hands. I left the seat and bowed in front of them before walking out of the room with the magical girl.

QoH: That was awesome, you have a great talent!

Y/N: I don't think it's because me, I'm thinking it's because of the piano.

QoH: I'm sure you can do it whenever you want!

Y/N: I wouldn't be so sure but I'll still take the compliment.

We both stayed together for a while before I was called to go in the other room beside the one with the piano inside. I opened the door and as I walked inside, I felt like I was about to freeze in place.

Y/N: Fuck, this place is cold.

I weakly took out my notepad and watched the abnormality on the other side looking at me.

Y/N: S-So cold.

I hurried to complete my observation in order to leave. I looked behind me and saw that Queen of Hatred was shivering as well, more than me due to her outfit. I grabbed her and held her close so that she wouldn't be as cold as she would be without my presence.

QoH: T-Thank you.

Y/N: No p-problem.

???: ...Y/N...

Y/N: ?

I heard someone calling my name and looked around but I couldn't find anyone else who could have said it except for the abnormality.

Y/N: ...W-What?

It raised it's sword and lowered it against the ground. A large amount of ice shards was thrown in my direction and one of them remained stuck in my body.

Intercom: 11 PE boxes successfully produced!

I tried to leave but felt extremely weak and I slipped on the icy floor under my feet. I blinked once, twice and looked at the abnormality.

???: Please, recognize me....

It smashed the blade of it's blade agaisnt the floor once more and I felt like I was about to drown. When the feeling left, I was paralysed in place, frozen by the abnormality while Queen of Hatred was gone from the room.

Y/N: ...H-Help.

I closed my eyes and felt something circling me before hearing a whisper in my ears. Something touched me and I couldn't do anything to fight it.

???: It's okay... I'm here.

The same voice talked to me and I soon lost consciousness.

In the darkness, I saw a woman sitting next to me, her face too blurry for me to recognize, wearing a scientist outfit. She silently grabbed my hand and I couldn't do anything agaisnt it, I was stuck in place.

Y/N: ...Who are you?

I felt like I knew this person somewhere but I couldn't remember where. Even though her face was blurry, I could still feel a smile forming on her face.

???: It's not very important right now, not anymore at least.

Y/N: ...

I tried to move, not success. She laughed a little at my attempts and quietly whispered:

???: Do you remember this place?

Y/N: ...

I didn't say anything, what place is she talking about anyway?

???: A... Do you remember A?

Y/N: ...A? Who the hell is A?

What kind of stupid parents would name their child "A"?

???: Do you remember me?

Y/N: No.

???: ...I do.

She looked away from me and I could still feel her smile on her face. I tried once more to free myself but I noticed that ice was starting to form around me, trapping me in place. I looked back at the girl and her body started changing until she looked like the abnormality that I visited then I remembered...

...She trapped me, I couldn't escape.

QoH: Let him go!

I opened my eyes and saw Queen of Hatred fighting with the other abnormality, both clashing their own weapons agaisnt each other. She then swung the sword away from the abnormality and turned around before aiming at me with her staff.

QoH: I'm going to save you! Arcana blade!

A laser formed and obliterated the ice trapping me and I fell on the ground, holding myself to keep the little warmth that I had left. I was quickly escorted out of the room but not before hearing the abnormality speak one last time.

???: I remember you... I liked you once.

I felt like I was about to die right now and I passed out from the cold.

.....

I blinked a few times and looked around, seeing a large group of employees in the same room. I got up and coughed a little, still feeling cold for some reason.

Y/N: What's happening?

Daniel: Emergency meeting, we were told to stay in this room.

I looked around and it was the Central Command team.

Y/N: Why?

Daniel: More of those things came back but even stronger than before. We couldn't fight them back so Alter Ego was forced to do all the job.

Intercom: PE quota successfully reached, end of the first shift.

Y/N: Where's Alter Ego now?

Alter Ego: Y/N!

I turned around and saw her grabbing me before thightly holding me with her arms, to the point where I was about to lose consciousness.

Y/N: I'm gonna... die!

Alter Ego: Oh sorry!

She removed her arms and I took a deep breath before looking at her.

Y/N: Good job, Daniel told me what happened.

She blushed a little at my compliment and lowered her eyes in order to not look at me directly. It gave me a chuckle and it made her even more embarrassed.

Daniel: Should we give you a room lovebirds?

Y/N: T-The fuck are you talking about?!

I said that while looking at him. He laughed and everyone left the room, going back to their rooms.

Alter Ego: We should... I think we should go.

Y/N: Let's go...

We both silently left and returned to our room.

Yesod: Malkuth, you are lacking behind the reports, what is taking you so long?

The Sephirah from the Control Team simply stared at the camera in front of her before hitting her desk with one of her hands.

Malkuth: Shut up!

Yesod looked at her with a disapproving face and looked around before staring back at her, unamused by her reaction.

Yesod: You-

Malkuth: I refuse to believe this, it has to be fake!

She yelled that, stopping the other Sephirah from talking. He sighed before leaning against a wall, waiting for her to be done with her attitude.

Malkuth: It can't be possible, Y/N doesn't like her, I know that!

She looked back at the camera, now showing an empty room and a grin formed on her face.

Malkuth: I'm gonna have to take this matter more seriously and I'm gonna do so now.

She got up and walked away while laughing to herself.

Malkuth: Y/N will love me!

Yesod: ...What the hell did I just witnessed?
