I asked that to a near employee and he told me that the 2 of them started arguing about a subject and it escalated quickly. I nodded and walked inside the room and saw more employees grouped together to watch what was happening along with the 2 troublemakers.

Hod: Nothing of this would have happened if you didn't involved yourself!

It was the first time I've heard Hod yelling at someone, she had quite the strong voice for someone like her.

Malkuth: Really? I don't remember seeing YOUR name on him.

Hod: And where's yours!?

Y/N: Both of you stop!

I yelled at the both of them and they turned to face me with a scared expression for the both of them.

Y/N: Do you know that everyone is aware of this little fight you're having?! You are supposed to be calm and show us how to do our duty, not fighting like a group of children!

They both exchanged a glare and I sighed.

Y/N: You know what? Screw this, I've got enough for today.

Hod: Y-Y/N!

Y/N: I'm leaving, let's go Alter Ego.

She nodded and we made our way back to the dorm. Once inside, she turned around and gave me a worried look.

Alter Ego: Are you going to be alright?

Y/N: Don't worry, I'll be fine, I just need sleep.

I prepared myself and went to sleep.

Angela: Are you proud of what you are doing here?

Y/N: Hm?

I turned my head and saw Angela sitting on a chair to my left, looking in my direction with her closed eyes like usual.

Y/N: I don't know, why do we collect energy from dangerous abnormalities? Wouldn't it be better to extract them from safer ones?

Angela: The extraction process is a rather complicated one but I can tell you one thing, the more risky an abnormality is, the more energy is collected from them.

Y/N: ...

I simply gave her an unsure look, not knowing how to take this information. She smiled at me and continued before I could say anything.

Angela: But you don't have to worry about anything, the manager is making an incredible job at keeping balance between safety and energy.

Y/N: That's a good news... I suppose?

She dropped her smile and looked to her left before grabbing something to give to me. I slowly took it from her hands and looked at it.

Angela: It seems like Netzach forgot to give this to you.

Y/N: That's the suit from little red, along with her weapons.

Angela: The manager is looking foward for your next performances.

Y/N: Really? I'm quite surprised to hear that.

Angela: ...And I'm also looking foward to what you will do later.

Y/N: ...Wow, 2 of my higher-ups are expecting a lot from me? That's a lot to take in for me.

She leaned closer to my face and I distanced myself from her, a little surprised from her sudden movement.

Angela: You will do great on your next day, just like every previous days.

I woke up in the Security department, wearing Little red's suit along with her weapons. I walked to my office and saw the report that I had to give back yesterday.

Y/N's mind: I should try to find that girl-

???: There you are.

I turned around and saw the person that I was talking about. I gave her the file and she looked through it before looknig back at me.

Tiphereth: Quite impressive, I wasn't expecting something like this from an employee.

Y/N: I had a lot of training.

Tiphereth: What's your name?

Y/N: Y/N, nice to meet you Tiphereth.

Tiphereth: It seems like I won't have to introduce myself. I'm the Sephirah of the Central Command team, don't hesitate to come check our department when it will be opened.

Y/N: I will.

Tiphereth: But if you're visiting us only for slacking off, you won't hear the end of it.

She walked away and I sighed before looking down, only to see a passed out Netzach on the floor.

He picked him up before placing him on one of the chairs, only for him to fall down once more on the floor. I facepalmed myself and decided to let him rest on the table since the chair wasn't good enough for him to stay on it.

I walked out of the room and made a quick check of each rooms of the department, just in case something was happening. I soon realized that the bird was missing and that the Plague doctor was there inside, looking differently than last time I saw it.

Y/N: What the...

I shrugged it off and walked to the next containment unit, where I could see Magical girl humming to herself.

Y/N: ...Wait.

I looked at her name and saw that she wasn't named Magical girl...

...Queen of hatred.

Y/N: ...

I looked inside once more and she opened her eyes before looking at the window where I was. She smiled in my direction and jumped on her feet before walking closer.

QoH: Hey Y/N!

Y/N: H-Hey.

I walked inside the room and she shook my hand once more.

QoH: What happened yesterday? I wasn't allowed to follow you so I don't know what happened in detail.

Y/N: Don't worry, I've dealt with it myself.

She leaned her head closer to me and I stepped back, not wanting to get too close to her.

QoH: So, did you won?

Y/N: Of course I did, I told them to stop what they were doing and I left afterwards.

She clapped her hands together and smiled at me once more, a magical pink circle forming around her. I looked at it with curiosity and raised my eyes back at Queen of Hatred.

Y/N: I should go, the shift is about to begin.

QoH: Please come back soon.

Y/N: I will, don't worry.

I walked out of the room and continued my check on the abnormalities, like I wanted to do.

Y/N: Hey red.

Little red: ...That outfit...

Y/N: It's a long story but hey, at least it looks cool.

I showed her a copy of her weapons and I could see a little hint of surprise in her only eye. She looked back at me and walked closer. She leaned closer and placed a piece of tissue around my mouth.

Y/N: What's that?

I asked that while looking at what she gave me.

Y/N: Hey, that's your mask.

I looked back at red and she simply looked away from me. I placed it back around my mouth and I was almost a perfect and smaller copy of her.

Y/N: I feel ready to go suppress some abnormalities.

Little red: Charging in won't help you, you need to know what you are doing.

Y/N: I'm aware but I wasn't trained to know how to do that, talking about approaching abnormalities obviously, I know how to deal with humans.

Little red: *Sigh* Come closer.

I did so and she started showing me how to properly handle my weapon along with teaching me techniques in order to be efficient in combat.

Y/N: Like this?

Little red: A little higher, you need to make the bastard suffer as much as possible.

Y/N: So I aim for the arms?

Little red: Don't stop with that, turn his eyes into small bowls for your bullets.

She shook her head and continued telling me tricks with how to avoid attacks and use them as opportunities to strike. I silently listened, interested about what I was hearing.

I walked out of the room and joined the arriving employees and saw Alter Ego carrying the outfit I was wearing before along with the weapon.

Alter Ego: Hey Y/N, how do I look?

Y/N: It suits you in my opinion.

Alter Ego: Thank you, that outfit looks really cool on you.

Y/N: Thanks.

I looked behind her and saw an employee shyly looking at the floor. I approached the person and tapped the shoulder of the employee, quickly greeted by a female voice.

???: H-Hi.

She looked at me and I could see her more clearly and I could tell that she was a little stressed.

Y/N: Are you alright?

???: Y-Yes...

Y/N: What's your name?

???: ...Elis.

Y/N: That's a nice name.

She didn't smile at my compliment and she even dropped her head.

Elis: I... I don't like my name, p-people make fun of me.

Y/N: Don't worry, I would like to see them try here.

???: Hey Y/N!

I turned around and saw Daniel entering the room with a bunch of papers. He placed them on a desk and looked at me.

Daniel: Got some papers to fill and-

Elis: D-Daniel!

She jumped out of her seat and rushed at Daniel before hugging him thightly. He was taken aback by that reaction but quickly regained his composure.

Daniel: What are you doing here? I told you to stay until I get the money to move away.

Elis: I-I was scared about you... W-What if you died?!

Daniel: Don't worry, I was fine.

Elis: ...

Y/N: Am I... Am I missing something?

Daniel: Not really, Elis is someone really close to me.

Elis: ...R-Really close.

Daniel: I know that, don't worry. Elis, this is Y/N, he won't harm you.

Alter Ego: I'm Alter Ego.

Elis: ...

She looked at the both of us and lowered her gaze to the floor.

Elis: So many nice p-people... wasting their time on s-someone like me.

She silently nodded and I looked back at my work.

Y/N: We should start soon or else we'll spend the rest of the day here.

Daniel: Yea, I don't feel like doing more hours in a place like this.

He left and we started working until we were called to do some works on abnormalities. Alter Ego had to go work with Big bird while I had to go pay a visit to that deformed dog.

Y/N: Hey there, having a good day so far?

Nothing There: *loud breathing*

Y/N: Like usual then.

I started writing down some stuff and stopped mid-way when I noticed that it stopped breathing heavily. I looked back at the abnormality and saw it right next to me, staring into my eyes.

Y/N: Do you need something?

Nothing There: ...

It simply stared at me and I did the same before taking some steps back in order to continue writing down some informations.

Intercom: 29 PE boxes successfully produced.

I walked out of the room and slowly made my way back to the Security department while making sure to not get spotted by Hod, just for my safety.

Y/N: I'm back-

*Beep*

Y/N: ...And away I go.

I returned to Queen of Hatred's containment room and saw her shaking her head around while looking at the ceiling.

Y/N: ...What are you doing?

QoH: Oh hey Y/N, I didn't see you.

Y/N: Of course you didn't, you were staring at the ceiling.

I started writing down some notes and noticed that she was slowly moving closer to me. I gave her a look telling her "What are you doing?" and she winked in response.

Y/N: ...

Intercom: 19 PE boxes successfully produced.

I walked out of the room and entered the main room once more and saw some employees looking at me with weird expressions.

Y/N: ...Is there a problem?

One of them pointed behind me and when I turned around, I saw Queen of Hatred right behind me.

Y/N: What are you doing here?

QoH: I wanted to see around, you know, checking in case any vilains decided to hide here.

Y/N: I can confirm you that you won't find one here.

QoH: On the contrary, I can feel it, a threat is looming over this place.

Y/N: ?

QoH: Be careful Y/N, it's closer than you think. I could even guess that this menace is really close to you.

Y/N: ...

I would've asked if it was Angela since she was the only one making me uncomfortable here but I couldn't tell if I was watched so I refrained myself from asking.

QoH: But don't worry, Magical girl is here to save you from danger!

Y/N: Thanks... I guess.

Intercom: Warning! Unknown entities detected inside the facility!

Y/N: I have to go now.

I turned around and tried to leave but one second after, I was back in QoH's containment room. I looked around in confusion and hurried out of the room but I couldn't find anything roaming the corridors.

Y/N: ...How did that happened?

I walked back to the main room and saw QoH standing in front of me, almost waiting for my return.

Y/N: You did this, didn't you?

QoH: I don't understand what you are talking about, I protected someone from danger.

Y/N: It's my job to take care of these things, you can't decide to not let me do my duty.

QoH: ...

She didn't respond and I sighed before walking past her. The day continued and I kept working abnormalities until more robots showed up.

Y/N: Another one taken care of.

QoH: These have nothing on us, we are heroes of justice and we won't be stopped by mere minions!

Y/N: *Mumble* Whatever you say...

After that, I kept working a little more and still attempted to convince Queen of Hatred to go back to her room, each attempts failing immediately.

Intercom: PE quota successfully reached, end of the first shift.

The echoed in the hallways as I was about to enter the room of a new abnormality. I rolled my eyes and opened the door to peek inside and saw pure darkness.

Y/N: ...I think I'll pass for now.

I closed the door and walked back to the main room one last time for the day and Alter Ego was finishing some reports.

Y/N: Hey, are you alright?

Alter Ego: I'm fine, what about you and your... follower?

She looked at Queen of Hatred whistling like she was pretending to not follow me. I shook my head before looking back at the one asking me the question.

Y/N: She doesn't want to go back to her room.

Alter Ego: Have you tried requesting support? They might be able to bring her back.

I typed something on the keypad of one of the screens and I asked someone for "a roaming abnormality". They soon arrived and dragged her away, much to Queen of Hatred's dismay.

QOH: This isn't how you are supposed to treat a hero!

Y/N: Sorry!

I said that before she was dragged out of my sight and I looked back at Alter Ego.

Y/N: We should go now.

She simply nodded and we both walked out of the room.
