Y/N: Is it good now?

I asked her that while covering one of her wounds with bandages. She nodded her head a little and forced herself to smile at me while feeling the pain of her injuries.

Alter Ego: I'd rather take the bullets than seeing you getting hurt.

Y/N: That's nice of you but I'm the the higher employee between the 2 of us so I have to protect you.

She looked down while blushing a little and I giggled at her reaction, making her blush even more. I slowly fixed a piece of cloth covering the open holes in her arms and saw it quickly turn red from the blood coming out.

Y/N: You should be good for now but don't overdo it during your work or else it could get worse.

She smiled back in response and a I did the same before preparing ourselves for the next day. However, I couldn't find sleep due to the memory of Angela staring at me in the distance, worrying me for some reason.

Y/N's mind: Worrying about it won't change anything, I should try to forget it.

The next day...

As I entered the security department, I noticed a man with green hair sitting on a chair with a bottle in his hand.

Y/N: Hey, what are you doing here?

???: Coping with the fact that my department suffered casualties once more.

Y/N: Wait, you're the Sephirah of the Security team?

???: Yea but nothing is "secure" here. Anyway, I'm Netzach.

Y/N: Y/N, I'm working in your department.

I turned around and saw a little girl with long blond hair yelling at the drunk man beside me. I looked back to Netzach and saw him sigh before drinking whatever was in the bottle that he was holding.

Netzach: Oh Tiphereth, it's there.

He pointed the paper in front of him before taking another sip. The girl glared at him and grabbed the report before looking at it.

Tiphereth: It's not even completed! I'm gonna have to redo it from the very start.

Y/N: Give me the file, I'll do it.

The girl looked at me before narrowing her eyes.

Tiphereth: You are an employee, you can't do reports-

Y/N: Trust me, I've done a lot of them with Hod so I know how to proceed.

I grabbed the document from her hands and just like how she said, it wasn't completed. To be honest, I'm sure he didn't even try since the handwriting was not recognizable.

Y/N: Come back at the end of the shift, it will be done by then.

Tiphereth: ...

She walked away and I turned my head to look at Netzach.

Y/N: Admit it, you didn't even care.

Netzach: Why should I?

He emptied the bottle and walked away, leaving me with the arriving employees.

Y/N: And I have the finish the report that he didn't bother to complete by the end of the shift.

We walked to the offices and I started completing the report, ignoring the orders given to me since the report was more important.

I rolled my eyes and kept writing everything as fast as possible while maintaining a readable writing.

Worker: Y/N, I think you should do your assigned work.

I then felt a familiar gaze on me and it forced me to look around but nobody was watching me. I then looked up and saw the security camera staring at me. I knew who was controlling it, I knew who.

I stood up from my seat and left the room, not wanting to piss her off of all people. I made my way to the containment room and immediately, I was greeted by the abnormality once inside the room.

???: Hey there!

I was surprised to see a girl around my height greeting me like we knew each other.

Y/N: Hey, how are you doing?

???: I'm fine, the evil of this world has been quite silent here.

Y/N: ...Really? That's a good thing.

???: This place is really quiet.

Y/N: Trust me, it won't be for long, you should have seen yesterday.

???: Huh?

Y/N: No problem, we're kinda used to it at this point, at least I am.

She grabbed my hand and shook it rapidly with a beaming smile on her face. I did the same but not with a smile since I wasn't sure how to react.

???: I'm Magical girl, it's nice to meet someone who fight for the same goal as mine. Between heroes, we must help each other.

Y/N: Huh? I only did what was needed to do, I'm not a hero. Plus, how often do you lose your memories?

Magical girl: Hm? I don't know, why?

I walked to the door and turned around and saw her with a sad expression. I wanted to spend more time with her but the report won't be finished by itself so I hurried out of the room.

Y/N: Time to finish that report.

I walked back to my office and quickly started to continue the report. I then heard that intruders were inside the facility, forcing me to stop to suppress them. I walked outside and saw weird things sliding on the floor.

Y/N: Everyone on the floor!

Every employees inside the room ducked and I pressed the trigger, causing no casualties on our side. They resumed their shooting while crouching when I asked them to do so. Soon, it exploded into pieces and we celebrated our victory before walking back to the main room.

Y/N: I should hurry up in case the things from yesterday decide to give us a visit.

I returned to the main room and focused my attention on the report, knowing that I could finish it in less than 30 minutes if I didn't stop.

*Beep*

Y/N's mind: Give me a break already...

I rolled my eyes and kept working on the file until I felt something grabbing my hand. I got annoyed by all the distractions and raised my head only to meet Angela.

Y/N: ...H-Hey Angela, is there a problem.

Angela: Please follow the instructions the manager tells you.

Y/N: It probably slipped my mind, I'll get on it.

I stood up and tried to walk away but she wouldn't let go of my hand. I looked at her and she did the same.

Y/N: Can I go now?

Angela: Lying won't help you Y/N, I know that you were aware of the orders.

She released my hand and walked away. I did the same and reached the room of the magical girl. I entered and saw her with a gloomy expression on her face.

Magical girl: This place is too quiet...

Y/N: Hello?

I walked closer and she gave me a quick glance before looking back at the floor.

Magical girl: I'm worthless, nobody needs me anymore...

Y/N's mind: Is she bipolar or something?

I grabbed her shoulder and gave her a stern look. She noticed how serious I was and looked at me.

Y/N: Listen here girl, it's not because that you are a hero of justice that you have to constantly save the world! What do think the heroes do when the vilans are defeated?

Magical girl: ...Wait for them to come back-

Y/N: Obviously not! They have a second life and so should you!

Magical girl: ...But I was created to defeat the evil-

Y/N: The evil will never disappear completely, remember that! It's not because there's no murder that the world became peaceful. An indirect evil deed also counts as evil and it's your duty to purge them from here!

She smiled at me and jumped on her feet with a confident smile on her face.

Magical girl: I am magical and my duty is to protect everyone from the evil and bring justice!

She turned around and grabbed my hands with hers before smiling at me. I awkwardly smiled back at her.

Magical girl: We are here to deliver the vilains what they deserve, isn't that right?

I tried to get out of her grasp but she was more stronger than I thought she was.

The lights then went out for no reason and I looked around in confusion.

Intercom: Warning! Big bird has escaped containment!

Y/N: I have to go-

Magical girl: Let's show these bad guys what we can do!

She grabbed her floating staff along with me and the my vision became distorted like someone applied a negative filter to my sight. It only lasted for a moment but now we were out of the containment room and there I saw the bird coming in our direction.

Y/N: Let's do this.

I raised my weapon and started shooting along with Magical girl with her magic staff. We kept shooting it until it dropped dead on the floor and she turned her head to me.

Magical girl: We did it!

Y/N: Yea... we sure did.

Magical girl: You were a great partner, hope that we can work together soon, they better tremble in fear because we won't show any mercy to them!

Intercom: PE quota successfully reached, end of the first shift.

Alter Ego: Hey Y/N.

I turned around and saw Alter Ego running to me before grabbing my arm.

Alter Ego: I think you should follow me, there's a commotion with Hod and Malkuth.

Magical girl: Who are you?

Y/N: Sorry Magical girl, I have to take care of this alone.

I got dragged away by a stressed Alter Ego and I saw behind me Magical girl glaring at the person taking me.
