She took a sip of alcohol and glared at the emptiness before her eyes.

Y/N: Feeling drunk yet?

Alter Ego: Not quite... I'm more sleepy than anything else.

She touched her forehead and slowly dropped her head on her arms before closing her eyes. I lightly touched her and realized that she fell asleep on the table. Me and Daniel chuckled a little to that sight and took a sip of our drinks.

Daniel: So, how long the 2 of you know each other?

Y/N: Only 14 days, we wouldn't have met without this place.

Daniel: So... do you like her presence? I mean, you are almost always together.

Y/N: She's nice, a good quality along with honesty to some degree, something that she also have. Plus, she already told me once that she was worried about me when I kept working without warning her so I can assume she cares about me a little bit.

Daniel: Ooooooh, I see where this is going. Do you like her?

Y/N: I mean, kinda.

I looked at the sleeping girl next to me and I heard Daniel coughing. I turned around and saw his body hunched over the table, coughing out some bits of his drink that didn't make it into his stomach.

Daniel: I think I should stop for the night, too much alcohol is gonna ruin my day.

Y/N: I think I'll do the same, time to bring someone else back too.

I tapped Alter Ego's back and she groaned a little before going back to the sleeping world. I got up from my chair and carried her to the room.

Y/N: I hope she's gonna wake up tomorrow.

The next day...

Alter Ego: *Yawn* What happened yesterday?

Y/N: You fell asleep, nothing too bad.

Alter Ego: If you say so... I'll see you after the shift.

Y/N: Yea, goodbye.

She walked away and I did the same to arrive at my department but I saw a bunch of workers leaving the main room, glaring at Hod. I walked inside and realized that the only people inside the room were Hod and Daniel.

Y/N: What just happened?

Daniel: They all started to riot against Hod because of the forced counseling.

Hod: I'm trying to be helpful, I want to help them.

Y/N: I know Hod, I believe in you.

Hod: Thank you Y/N.

She smiled at me but her worried expression quickly came back.

Hod: ...How am I supposed to deal with all of this, I have to complete those papers by myself now.

Y/N: I believe in you, I know you can do it!

I gave her a kind smile and her mood brightened up.

Hod: If you believe in me then I will try my best!

Y/N: Good luck!

She walked away and I saw Daniel giving me a thumbs up. I nodded and waited for the next task that will be given to us. It soon started and we both started doing our jobs.

Y/N: Now let's see...

I raised my head and took notes of what I was currently watching.

???: *Loud breathing*

Y/N's mind: Noting... quite annoying when it comes to sounds.

Y/N: So... you want something?

The amorphous abnormality looked at me with its numerous eyes and stopped breathing. I raised one of my eyebrows at that reaction and continued.

Y/N: So I suppose you do want something, what do you want?

???: ...

*Beep beep*

Y/N: I guess time's up for now.

I walked out of the room and walked past a new room, probably containing a new abnormality.

Y/N's mind: I wonder what's inside.

I opened the door and checked what was inside.

Y/N: That looks... way too peaceful in my opinion, there's a catch and I'm sure of it.

I decided to close the door and wait inside the main room of the Training team for a while until the intercom warned us that the robots came back once more.

Y/N: Time to destroy some scrap.

I walked inside the hallway and saw it approaching me. I raised my weapon and waited that the circle completed itself and then the bullet ripped the head of the robot apart from it's body.

Y/N: You don't mess with us.

I safely returned to the main room and waited once more for something to do until an order popped. I looked at it and sighed.

Y/N: Ah great... Feeding duty for Plague doctor.

I walked to the Information team, past the main room and walked inside the containment room.

Y/N: Let's get this over with.

I gave a glare to the abnormality, I'm still not trusting it and my instinct is telling me that I'm right.

Y/N: ...Did you grew a pair of wings? I don't remember you having 2 pairs of wings.

It didn't answered so I simply ignored it and left when I was allowed to.

Alter Ego: Hey Y/N.

Y/N: I guess your lack of sleep didn't stop you from working.

Alter Ego: You know Yesod, he would kill me if I knew I was asleep on the job.

Y/N: I know, the shift is soon done so you just have to do your best until then.

I walked out of the room and return to the Training team.

Intercom: PE quota successfully reached, end of the first shift.

Y/N: Let's see how Hod is doing.

I walked inside the room and everything was a mess, papers and broken pencils were everywhere on the floor.

Y/N: Hod?

Hod: Yes?

I saw her surrounded by documents, trying her best to finish them but I could see that she was having some difficulties when it comes to managing everything at the same time.

Y/N: Why is the floor covered in papers and pencils?

Hod: *Sigh* I'm trying my best but it doesn't seem enough, I don't feel like it's doing anything.

Y/N: Don't worry, you might not notice it immediately but you will, it's a slow process after all.

Hod: ...

She looked at me and gave me a weak smile, I could see that she was tired from all this work.

Hod: Thank you Y/N, I don't know what I would do without you.

Y/N: Don't make it sound like I'm the best person in the world, I was just here at the right time. I probably just prepared you to when I will be moved to another department.

Her smile dropped when I mentionned it along with her shoulders.

Hod: ...But why?

Y/N: Huh?

Hod: Why would you leave?

Y/N: It's not my choice Hod, it's the manager who decides.

Hod: But without your support, I... I-

Y/N: Hey Hod, relax and take a deep breath, I'm not leaving for now.

She simply nodded with a small frown on her face. I then heard footsteps and saw Malkuth along with Yesod looking at us.

Malkuth: Looks like someone is getting along with Y/N.

Hod: Is there a problem with knowing your employees?

She asked that in a semi aggressive voice, making Malkuth glare at her while Yesod just responded with a neutral response.

Yesod: Hod, the reunion is about to start soon, we shouldn't waste our time here.

Hod: Yes, I'm coming.

She left her seat and walked past them, followed by Yesod. Malkuth on the other hand looked back at me.

Malkuth: I can tell that she is clinging onto you. If you can't take it anymore, I'll always accept you back in the Control team.

Y/N: ...I'll be fine for now.

She winked before leaving the room.

Y/N: *Sigh* I feel like something bad is gonna happen once I get changed to another department.
