She calmly responded while combing her hair in front of a mirror. She looked absolutely gorgeous with her hair carefully taken care of but I was afraid to tell her that knowing in what position I'm in right now.

Alter Ego: Do you know what pisses me off?

Y/N: Go ahead...

She turned around and frowned at me.

Alter Ego: I'm mad because you didn't even bother telling me that you were still alive. I don't care about what I just saw, I wanted to be sure that you were still with us, still with the livings.

Y/N: I get that but I was fighting with the new abnormality when the shift stopped.

Alter Ego: Why?

She was confused about what I just said.

Y/N: He stole my weapon, I can't defend myself without it!

We both looked at the door before checking the time.

Alter Ego: Who could it be at 1 in the morning?

Y/N: ...

I walked to the door and opened it slowly. When I noticed who it was, I opened it fully.

Hod: H-Hi Y/N.

Y/N: Hey Hod, what are you doing?

Hod: Angela asked me to give you this since she was busy.

She gave me an outfit along with with a gun. She also gave me a badge with my name written on it along with numbers.

Y/N: What's this?

Hod: It's something Angela came up with, it shows the current status of employees for everyone inside the facility.

Y/N: So everyone will receive one?

Hod: No unfortunately, just the agents.

She looked behind me and saw Alter Ego. She took out another badge and threw it in her direction. Alter Ego grabbed it in the air easily.

Hod: Anyway, I'm sorry for the trouble, have a good night.

I closed the door and sat on the bed.

Alter Ego: Hm...

I looked at my badge and read the informations on it:

Y/N: I don't really get what those stats means but I have a good justice. What about you?

She gave me her badge and I checked it myself.

Alter Ego shrugged before taking back her badge. Meanwhile, I took a good look at the outfit along with the weapon I was given.

Y/N: That looks like a really heavy weapon.

Alter Ego: I'm sure you'll be able to carry it.

Y/N: That outfit looks nice.

Alter Ego: Good for you.

Y/N: I'll take them with me tomorrow so...

I looked at the girl beside me.

Y/N: Another abnormality... just like always.

I was standing next to the door of the new creature. I still don't know what the containment room is keeping inside but I really didn't want to know, even though I'm supposed to go inside.

I walked inside and took out my notepad before raising my eyes to the other side of the room

I approached the abnormality and looked around, trying to determine if it was a joke or not.

I stepped away and started cleaning it, like I was ordered to. Once the outside was done, I looked inside the shoes and saw sharp teeth inside them. I dropped the tissue on the floor from shock and remained frozen for a while before snapping out of it. I grabbed the piece of cloth on the floor and I was about to do the inside when...

Y/N: For once I'm glad that I didn't get to finish my work.

I walked outside and stayed by the elevator in case I needed to take a break.

Y/N: *Yawn* The lack of sleep is slowly catching up.

I looked down to the floor and saw someone's shoes walking past me. I got curious and raised my eyes to see Alter Ego walking past me.

Y/N: Alter Ego? What are you doing?

She ignored my question and kept walking foward. I thought she was just ignoring me since she was mad at me for yesterday and let it go... until I heard a containment room open. I turned my head around and saw her walking inside a room.

Y/N: Hey hey! What are you doing?!

I could see on the side that no one was assigned to that room so something was clearly going on. The door closed just before I could enter and I pressed the buttons to force the door to open. Once opened, I sprinted inside.

Y/N: Sto-

Then, I saw it. Alter Ego was wearing the red shoes, carrying an axe in her hands along with a large smile and eyes crying blood.

Alter Ego: What's wrong Y/N? You look like you just saw a ghost.

She stepped closer, the heels of the shoes were echoing in my head.

Y/N: Take the shoes off Alter Ego!

Alter Ego: But I like them, they are so pretty just like you to my eyes.

Y/N: Please, we can talk about this when those things are off your feet.

She slowly walked to me, forcing me to back away to the door. I pressed the button to open it and walked outside.

I took out my newly given weapon and pointed the barrel at Alter Ego. She just smiled at the sight of me threatening her and kept walking closer.

Y/N: Stop! Don't make me shoot you!

Alter Ego: You actually care about me? That's-

Dana: Fuck you!

I looked behind Alter Ego and saw Dana jumping on her, strangling her with her bare hands.

Dana: Don't stand there, do something!

Y/N: What am I supposed to do?!

I looked around but the only productive thing I could do without harming Alter Ego was to get her weapon. Deciding that it was the best course of action, I took the axe away from the girl.

Alter Ego: My axe...

She turned her head to face the other who was holding her and grabbed one of her arm before applying a lot of pressure on it. The result was instant, Dana's right arm became dislocated.

Dana: Shit!

She stopped grabbing her and held her broken arm with a lot of pain on her face. Alter Ego turned around and smiled at me once more before running in my direction.

Y/N: !

I turned around and ran as fast as possible from her, still carrying the axe. I ran into the staircase and jumped over the steps before doing a roll on the ground to minimize the pain of doing the jump. I heard behind me the sound of high heels, making me go even more faster.

Alter Ego: Get back here Y/N!

Y/N: You're going to kill me!

I ran past employees who immediately started to scream and panic the moment their eyes met Alter Ego. I started to climb the stairs at full speed leading to the upper floor when something grabbed me and forced me back into the lower level. I fell on the floor and I was met with the wicked smile of Alter Ego along with her dark pupils crying blood.

Alter Ego: Thank you for the exercise. Please stay here, I won't take long.

She grabbed her weapon and ran to the upper level leading to the Control team.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Jessie has been confirmed to have perish! Employees left in the facility: 5.

Y/N: Oh no, not again!

I tried to stood up but pain quickly made me stop trying. I looked down and saw bloodstains on my suit along with blood on the floor.

Y/N's mind: When did I get wounded?

I looked around and tried to call for help but nobody tried to rescue me, everyone was running around in panic, crying and begging for their lives.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Skylock has fallen into a panicked state, suppression is needed immediately! Sane employees left: 4.

Y/N: ...

All I could do was to hear everything that was happening around me.

Dana: Y/N!

I looked to my right and saw Dana running in my direction, still holding her arm. She dropped to her knees next to me and looked around.

Dana: We need to get you up and fast.

Y/N: Good luck with your arm.

Dana: ...

She took out a piece of clothing and stuffed it into my mouth.

Dana: It's gonna hurt.

She then started to raise me back on my feet. I didn't even try to hide the pain at this point and bit into the cloth to reduce the pain as much as possible.

Dana: Alright, we'll get you a med-

I saw a male employee running past us before going up a floor.

Alter Ego: Oh my, look who decided to join the fun.

Dana: ...

She walked in front of me and glared at the opponent with hatred.

Dana: I'm gonna make sure you get killed, even if this the last thing I do.

She grabbed her pistol and started shooting her with her left arm. Alter Ego just ignored the bullets going throug her body and threw her axe at an incredible speed, successfully beheading her while also missing me perfectly.

Alter Ego: Exactly where it should have gone, which is not hurting you obviously.

I slowly walked away from the room, unable to run due to the mysterious wound.

Alter Ego: Nah ha, where do you think you're going?

Y/N: *Cough* Going to make sure I don't die?

She walked to me and grabbed my shoulder before placing her axe under my chin.

Alter Ego: You're not going anywhere-

Y/N: I'm going to die from blood loss!

I pushed her on the floor and attempted to take a sprint. I successfully managed to get away from her and hid in the main room of the Training team, bandaging my wound along with taking painkillers.

I looked from my hiding spot and saw a girl with purple hair walking inside.

Y/N: H-Hey!

The girl spotted me and ran to me.

???: Thank god, someone else is alive!

Y/N: Yea but I won't do much in my state.

She noticed my bandages and looked around, trying to help me but there wasn't much she could do.

Y/N: Who are you? I suppose you're new as well...

???: Yes I am, I'm Maria and this... is supposed to be my first day.

Y/N: Sorry to hear that, I've been here for 12 days.

Maria: I guess not everyone can live for a long time in this place...

I heard the door opening and saw the killer entering the room. I grabbed the girl beside me and pulled her next to me in my hiding spot.

Alter Ego: *Whistle* YYYYYYY/NNNNNN, wheeeeeerrrrrreeeee are you?

Maria: *Quiet sobbings*

Y/N: ...

The sound of the high heels became weaker and weaker until we couldn't hear them anymore.

I sudden got pulled out of my position and heard my friend's voice, giving me chills down my spine.

She raised a giant hammer in the air and swung Alter Ego across the room, breaking a table and 3 chairs at the same time.

Alter Ego: Now you pissed me off.

She stood up and rushed at us, more precisely the girl. She tried to block the hit but the psycho kicked her in the stomach before slicing one of her arms off. She couldn't even scream her pain that the axe went for another round on her and went through her heart.

Maria: ...

She dropped on the floor along with her hammer. I stood up and pointed my rifle at Alter Ego before pressing the trigger. A blue circle appeared around the end of the barrel and a blue bullet came out of the circle. She simply took it and swung her weapon at my gun, breaking it in 2 pieces.

Alter Ego: Now then...

She walked closer and I resigned to my fate. I closed my eyes and placed my hands behind my head.

Y/N: Just do it, just end my suffering.

...But instead of getting hit by something metallic. I felt a warm sensation on my lips. I opened my eyes and saw her kissing me.

Alter Ego: I really like you, I like you a lot but you wouldn't realize that with all those people around you so... I got rid of them.

Y/N: ...

Alter Ego: Those shoes made me realize what I was holding myself from telling you, I don't want to see you die.

I saw the lights of the room slowly getting weaker and weaker.

Alter Ego: Let's start a new future, out of this cursed facility.

???: I've heard enough.

The lights completely closed but I could still see Alter Ego clearly like the lights were still on. I blinked once and she vanished only to be replaced by the mature figure of Angela. Even though her face was not showing any expression, I could tell that she was furious.

Angela: I may have underestimated the situation but...

She leaned her head to her left and looked behind her before focusing back to me.

Angela: I do not mind this outcome, not a single bit.

She walked closer and once again, I was intimidated by the fact that she was taller than me.

Angela: Now, you will soon wake up and you will pretend like nothing happened, just like the last time.

Y/N: Wait, so it is real?!

Angela: ...

Y/N: How am I supposed to act normally when everything that just happened was real and I'm going to remember everything?!

Angela: You will, I believe that you will be able to stay calm.

Y/N: ...How is that even possible, why am I the only one who has to remember?!

Angela: Like humans say "Learn from your mistakes". Also...

She opened her eyes a little and looked at me.
