I looked around and felt a feeling of solitude. Yes, the department was filled with people but at the same time, it felt like I was alone. I had nobody to talk with, everyone was a stranger to me.

Y/N: ...I already regret being here.

Hod: Hey Y/N, are you alright?

I heard the sound of Hod's shoes walking in my direction. I turned around and tried to give her a smile but I failed miserably, giving her a grin instead.

Y/N: *Sigh* Why am I alone, I think supervising a department would be more effective with more people.

Hod: Yes it would be but... the Manager wanted only one person and picked you.

Y/N: I mean, I'll try my best but I don't know if I'll be able to do everything.

She smiled at me before tapping my shoulder.

Hod: I know you can do it, I believe in you. Just do your best and it will be great.

Y/N: Thank you Hod.

Hod: Plus if you need it, I could help you manage the department. Teamwork is an essential thing to remember in order to manage a facility.

*Beep*

Y/N: That's my cue to leave but thank you for the quick talk.

She nodded before walking away. Meanwhile, I climbed the stairs leading to the abnormality's room and entered. I was greeted by a tall person standing before my eyes.

Y/N: *Whistle* Hellllloooo... tall guy.

I looked at my assigment and realized that it was a Repression work. I rolled my eyes, took out my weapon and approached the abnormality.

In Y/N's mind...

???: Oh? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming straight at me?

Y/N: I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer.

???: Oh oh! Then come as close as you like.

In reality...

The abnormality grabbed my weapon and raised it in the air in less than 4 seconds. I glared at him and tried to jump to get my weapon back but each time I tried to grab it, he would raise it higher so I couldn't get it.

Y/N: Are we really gonna do this?

He didn't respond to my question so I tried to grab my weapon once more but he raised it back up again. I glared at him and he simply stared at me back before lowering my weapon.

I quickly jumped and I saw the weapon elevating in the air once more. I felt my right eye twitching from anger and I was ready to beat the shit out him.

I punched it right in the stomach and went for a kick right after. He simply stepped backward to dodge my leg and looked at me.

I heard the sound telling me I could leave but I needed my weapon. I punched him in the legs, trying to make him drop my cross but he ignored it and kept my weapon.

Y/N: I swear to god that I'm gonna get my weapon, even if this the last thing I do.

6 hours later, during the second shift....

Y/N: You. Fucking. Piece. Of. Shit!

After what felt like an eternity, he was still holding my stuff. I took a deep breath and stared at him. I jumped on his chest and climbed on top of him before grabbing my weapon.

Y/N: Yes! I fucking did it!

I jumped back on the floor and walked to the door.

Intercom: 977 PE boxes successfully produced.

Y/N: No shit with all the time I spent here.

I turned around and saw the abnormality holding a pipe in his hand before giving it to me. I gave him a confused expression as I took it before putting it in my pocket.

Y/N: Thanks... I suppose?

I walked out of the room and made my way to the main room where I noticed that the second shift started.

Hod: Y/N, you're here!

I saw Hod running in my direction with a worried expression on her face. I smiled at her and she sighed of relief.

Hod: I thought that you died!

Y/N: Don't worry, I was having some problems with the abnormality. Anyway, I need to do a report.

Hod: Oh, I could help you. I have paperwork to do right now so...

Y/N: Yea sure, I could help with your stuff too.

Hod: Thank you.

Her joyous expression came back on her face and we both started working on the documents. We were sitting side by side but for some reason, I felt more at ease working with her than Malkuth. Maybe it was just me but I actually felt like this was a break from my usual routine.

Hod: You forgot this line.

She pointed me a blank space I left and I quickly corrected that. I thanked her and kept working on my papers until I heard a voice behind us.

Malkuth: What are you doing here Y/N?

I turned my head around and saw the Sephirah of the Control team looking at me with...

Hod: Malkuth, is there a problem?

Malkuth: ...I know you Y/N and I know that paperwork shouldn't be done by employees so why don't you go get some rest?

I was about to respond to that when Hod did it for me.

Hod: Y/N doesn't mind helping me with the works. If he doesn't mind then it must not bother him.

She answered with a clear and determined voice, like she was standing her ground against a pack of wolves.

Malkuth: I know that you can perform by yourself so why don't you give him a break?

The Sephirah of the Training team looked at me, her face was saying "Should I?". I decided that it was enough and stood up.

Y/N: Malkuth, you cannot give me orders anymore. Hod is now my Sephirah and there's nothing you can do about it. If I want to help her then it's up to her to decide.

Tension filled the air as the 3 of us looked at each other. Malkuth gave Hod an annoyed look before placing a pile of documents on a shelf near her.

Her happiness was gone from this encounter and she responded to her with a timid voice, almost scared. Malkuth smiled at Hod, probably knowing what was happening...

She walked out of the room with a smile on her face.

I looked at Hod beside me and saw her trembling a little. I gave her a tap on her shoulder but she wasn't responding, she was way too stressed about what just happened.

I gave her a hug before making her sit back on a chair. She started to compose herself slowly and once she was back to normal, she looked at me with worried eyes.

Hod: I never... I never saw Malkuth acting like this. Did something happened-

Y/N: I honestly have no clue either.

Hod: Also...

Y/N: Hm?

I raised one of my eyebrows as a way to tell her I was waiting for her to finish her sentence.

Hod: Could I... get another hug?

Y/N: Just that? I don't mind.

I did as she asked and smiled a little.

Hod: It feels comforting but at the same time...

She looked into my eyes.

Hod: I feel like I have already experienced this warm embrace before... I don't know when but I know that warm feeling from somewhere.

I saw my friend walking inside and saw the 2 of us, one hugging the other. I waved at her like it was a casual thing.

She walked away without answering my question.
