Alter Ego: How are you feeling right now?

She asked that the next day. I looked at her with my tired eyes and answered.

Y/N: Could be worse, like everything actually.

I slowly made my way out of my bed and prepared myself for the next day along with Alter Ego. After we were both done, we left the room and walked to the Information department. The walk to there was silent since none of us wanted to ruin the silence, it broke by itself when we arrived though.

Dana: Heeeeyyyy, wassup?

Y/N: What's with the accent all of the sudden?

Dana: Dunno, feel like it.

Y/N: Alright... let's wait for our orders for now.

*Beep*

Dana: Again?! I just went in there yesterday!

Y/N: You're lucky, at least you don't have to deal with that fucking plague doctor, I don't trust it.

Alter Ego: I never trusted it to begin with.

Dana: Anyway, I gotta go, see you later.

She walked out of the room calmly and the 2 of us looked at each other. Soon after, Alter Ego left to go deal with the Scorched girl. Then, I received a work order...

Y/N: ...You gotta be shitting me.

I frowned upon my assignment but sighed before going to the containment unit that I needed to be in.

Y/N: Hello once again... Plague doctor.

The abnormality just stared back at me with no response whatsoever. I ignored it and started writing my notes about it's current behaviour until I heard the intercom.

Intercom: 7 PE boxes successfully produced.

Y/N: About time.

I turned around and left the room before I heard an alarm.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Dana has fallen into a panicked state, suppression is needed immediately! Sane employees left: 4.

Y/N: Dana?!

I quickly ran to the containment room of the new abnormality and somebody pushed me violently on the ground. I looked up and saw Dana running past me, carrying a hook in her hand.

Dana: I'll destroy this cursed company!

She walked past the Plague doctor's room and went up a floor by the emergency stairs. I jumped back on my feet and tried to catch up with her but she was too fast for me. She stopped near a door and started to force it open with the hook she was carrying. As I was about to smack some senses into her, the door opened and she kept going.

Intercom: Warning! Forsaken Murderer has escaped!

I ran past the room and checked behind me to see the abnormality with the straitjacket walking around on its knees with a metallic cylinder on his head. I ignored it and tried to catch up with Dana before she could do anything else but then I heard the intercom turn on again.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Skylock has fallen into a panicked state, suppression is needed immediately! Sane employees left: 3.

I climbed up the stairs and saw her opening another door before leaving the room. Soon after, the Scorched girl walked out of the room and started making her way towards me.

Intercom: Warning! Scorched girl has escaped!

I ran in the opposite direction and decided to make the way around.

Alter Ego: Y/N! You're here!

She quickly joined me and looked around with a terrified expression.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Jesse has fallen into a panicked state, suppression is needed immediately! Sane employees left: 2.

Y/N: We have to stop Dana before she cause even more damage!

She nodded and we both started to run, I was hearing the Scorched girl's sobbings right behind me. I stopped at the Plague doctor's room and an idea popped into my head.

Y/N: Hey, let's wait for her here.

Alter Ego: Why?

Y/N: She's trying to release abnormalities so she going to arrive here-

I stopped my explanation when I saw her running in our direction, her eyes fixated on the door near us. We both took out our weapons and waited for her to approach before beating her down. She quickly went back to her senses and looked around with a confused expression.

Dana: What-

I heard the door behind us opening and I saw Scorched girl walking inside. We all ran out of the room.

Y/N: Why does she keep following us?

Nobody answered my question but we all made our way to the next floor. As we tried to take a breather from all the running, Dana got suddenly assaulted by the Forsaken Murderer. She took out her pistol and started shooting him but he simply bashed his head against her and she stopped moving.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Dana has been confirmed to have perish! Employees left in the facility: 4.

Alter Ego: I can't take this anymore, this too much for me!

I looked at her and saw tears coming out of her eyes. I knew that she was about to snap too but there was nothing I could do.

Y/N: We have to get of here-

???: Let me out!!!!

I turned around and saw an employee running in our direction, his arms raised in the air. He ran past us and the Forsaken Murderer turned him also into a cold body.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Skylock has been confirmed to have perish! Employees left in the facility: 3.

Y/N: Fuck!

I tried to help Alter Ego leave the room but she suddenly pushed me away.

Alter Ego: *Giggles*

Y/N: Alter Ego, he walking closer!

She turned her head around and I saw her eyes filled with insanity, she was gone.

Alter Ego: Come closer Y/N, do me this favor!

She took out her weapon and tried to smash my head open with it. I dodged it and ran away from the both of them.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Alter Ego has fallen into a panicked state, suppression is needed immediately! Sane employees left: 1.

Y/N: This is bad, this so fucking bad!

I ran as fast as I could and then I heard the sound of something being crushed into pieces along with the sound of bones breaking.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Alter Ego has been confirmed to have perish! Employees left in the facility: 2.

Y/N: I'm sorry Alter Ego.

I kept running until I heard the door behind me open. I looked behind me and saw the bastard who killed everyone coming after me. I climed up the stairs to the other floor and saw the other employee ripping his head off.

Intercom: Warning! Employee Jesse has been confirmed to have perish! Employees left in the facility: 1.

Y/N: ...

My legs felt weaker and my body touched the floor, the pressure was too high for me.

Meanwhile...

Malkuth: We can't leave him out there to die! We have to bring him here!

Yesod: Malkuth, stop being irrational, this is his duty to take care of this.

Malkuth: I don't care, we can clearly see that he won't be able to deal with all of this!

Angela: Malkuth, please refrain yourself from disturbing the duties of the employees.

The 2 other people in the room walked away, one of them being more angry than the other which was Malkuth obviously. What they didn't realize was that Angela's eyes were opened, looking through the camera watching Y/N on the floor and smiled a little.

Angela: I will have to care take of this once everything is done.

Back to Y/N...

Y/N: *Sob* Everyone...

The door beside him opened. He looked to the direction of the sound and saw the Scorched girl walking closer to him.

Y/N: You know what?! I don't give a shit anymore! Just end me already!

Scorched girl: *Sobbings*

I opened my arms and hugged her thightly, knowing that the match stuck in her body would burn me. The sobbings stopped and when I looked at the abnormality, a small smile could be seen on her face...

...Then the sound of an explosion echoed before I died.

Y/N: ...

I opened my eyes in a dark room with absolutely nothing inside. I looked around and spotted the figure of the Control team's Sephirah.

Y/N: Malkuth!

I got up and ran in her direction before trying to grab her but she vanished before my eyes.

Malkuth: He cannot die, I won't allow this to happen.

Y/N: Huh?

I looked down at my hands and turned around to be greeted by Angela. Her closed eyes along with a smile on her face was what greeted me.

Angela: This is rather tragic, it seems like you have perished.

Y/N: I know that already so I'm aware you're not real.

Angela: Hm?

She leaned her head slightly to the side before continuing.

Angela: You are far from dead, actually...

Her eyes opened just a little.

Angela: I am intending to keeping you alive. I do not care about the well being of the others as long as you are spared. You are... essential.

Y/N: I'm dead, you're not real so why should I listen to you?

Angela frowned at my statement and walked closer, her eyes were now fully opened which gave me chills. I tried to step away but it felt like I was walknig in place. She grabbed my uniform with so much strength that I was able to move.

Angela: ...Tell me, if you are dead, can you feel pain?

Y/N: How am I supposed to-

She slapped me while still holding me. I touched my cheek and felt the pain going through my body. I was about to fight back when she pulled my clothes to make me come closer, all of that happening in the blink of an eye.

Y/N: What the shit just happened?

Angela: Remember that your death will not allow you to escape.

Y/N: *Gasp*

I raised my head and saw that I was back in the Information team.

Alter Ego: Y/N? Did something happened?

Dana: Probably just a bad dream, it happens.

Y/N: ...
