♡still kellin's pov♡

I wake up and get ready like everyday,but today was different, no rude comments about how I dress,i light a morning cigarette and I sit on the porch swing, I never get to sit on it so this is nice, I put my backpack next to me and I take in the nice beautiful morning,smoke, and air,i hear a car honk and I turn my head to see vic's head out the window.

"get in the car" he says

"well good morning to you to" I say and I try to hide the cigarette and I put it in pete's ash tray he has out here.

"my mom wants me to drive you to school, so get in" he says and I roll my eyes as I grab my bag, I open the passanger door and sit next to him, I close it.

"wheres mike?" I ask

"he is sick" vic says

"ah" I say softly and awkward silence comes as he starts driving.

"so is this going to be a every morning thing?" I ask knowing the answer

"until your mom comes back" vic says through gritted teeth.

"ya, ya,then its back to walking" I say in a half whisper

"kellin, don't get the wrong impression, I don't care, but are you okay?" he asks and I shrug

"better than I was yesterday" I say and he nods, keeping his eyes on the road.

"so you don't care about me" I add

"here's the thing kellin, I don't care about anyone" he says as he parks his car. whenever he says my name I get this weird feeling I cant describe. i get our and make my way into the school building, not even bothering to wait for vic, he doesn't care about me anyways, we aren't really even friends, maybe tony is right, why should I waste my time on vic? that's just stupid. why should I waste my thoughts on someone who doesn't waste their thoughts on me?

"kellin, im sorry for being acting the way I acted" tony says as I open my locker

"its fine" I say softly and I put everything I don't need in my locker and I grab my books and close it. tony and I walk in silence on the way to art. I take out my panting, well drawing I haven't panted yet, I took out the drawing I did of vic and before I could tear it, tony takes it out of my hand

"don't trash it,its really good" he says.

"you realize who it is, dont you?" I ask and he nods and its like he knew what I was going to do, he glues down my small drawing of vic onto my panting so he's right under my tree looking up at it.

"well I was going to change my idea" I say

"and now you cant" he says with a smirk

"don't let me get to you, you can like him, nothing wrong with that,i just don't want you getting hurt kellin" he says and before I can answer, none other than victor Fuentes comes into the door. I go and grab water color paints and start painting, I didn't talk to vic at all, for any of my classes, its now time for lunch, I was just about to go to the library when tony stops me.

"I know what you are doing" he says softly.

"and what am I doing?" I ask raising an eyebrow

"you are skipping lunch to avoid seeing vic and sitting with us, and from sitting alone, I know you don't think we want you there, but trust me, we do" he says

"vic doesn't" I say softly

"you don't know that, maybe you do have a chance, hold onto it" he says and he gently grabs one of my wrists and leads me into the lunch room and sits me down in-between mike and himself I sat there and looked around the table, Olivia and Jaime where in a deep convo, while vic was just glaring at me. His eyes go from tony to me, and that's when he stops glaring at me.

"attention, everyone after lunch we are having an assembly" a voice says on the speaker.

"Maybe they'll let us leave after it" tony says and I nod

"hopefully" I say and tony gets up

"I'm going to get food, anyone want some?" He asks looking at me

"no thank you though" I say and I look at olivia and Jaime, both have food and are too deep in a convo to notice "vic?" Tony asks and vic shakes his head in disgust

"you know how I feel about the food here" he says and tony nods before turning away to get food.

"we have to talk" vic says seriously

"okay, so talk" I say trying to get vic to get to the point

"why do you want to talk to me? I see you looking at me all the time, can you not get the fact that I don't exactly enjoy your company into your head?" He asks and I see olivia's and Jamie's heads go up.

"How do you even know that kellin wants to talk to you, maybe your head is in the way" Jaime says speaking up for me. Vic's eyes go wide.

"so your on his side, you've known me for years" vic says

"well vic your so mean to any new student, you have changed, maybe I don't know you much anymore" Jaime says. we all sit in silence, tony comes back and sits down he puts some water and a bag of chips in front of me

"I know you didn't want anything, but I won't sit here and watch you not eat" he whispers

"thank you" I say softly.

"what's up with the silence?" tony asks and Jaime gets up and whispers something in tony's ear.

"come on kells, we are going to that empty table" he says and he practically drags me there and Jaime follows.

"You didn't need to do that" I say and I look at tony who is glaring at vic

"yes I did, I can't leave you with someone like him" he says.

"you don't have to like protect me from vic,i know that's what you are doing,you said so yourself, you don't want me to get hurt." I say

"I will protect you from whoever I want" tony says as he starts eating his food, I eat the chips and drink water,i wasn't really hungry,but I haven't eaten in days and I don't want to be rude,so why not? after lunch we make our way to the gym for this announcement or whatever they want to say. all the seats seem to be taken,but for three seats next to vic, he waves us over and I sigh

"we aren't siting there" tony says and I don't listen, I know if I sit down,he'll sit down next to me, so I make my way next to vic

"he wont come unless I do, this is the last time I promise" I say and he just nods I see tony look at me with disapproval as he takes the seat next to me, Jaime siting down on the other side of tony. we sit there in silence as everyone else makes small talk.

"can we have your attention please" our assistant principal Mr.Dean says, I find it odd that his last name sounds like a fist name.

"we have realized how some of the old students don't like the new students, so we are all going on a trust camping trip tomorrow,where every new student must be with an old student as partners and you all must learn to get along,now go home early and pack,before you leave grab the list of stuff you will need,and pick a partner right now or tomorrow,you all are required to go" he adds and I hear vic groan.

"vic and kellin are partners" I hear Jaime say

"shut up" vic says

"no its true, I hate this idea,but you both need to" tony says and we get up and grab a list before going to our lockers and I walk home, I go to my room and grab a duffle bag.lets see, I need a shirt,pants,tooth paste tooth brush,pajamas, the normal everyday stuff, I pack. in the morning I wake up and have a quick smoke, then I go over to the couch where my pete is asleep. is that all he does. I roll my eyes and make my way out the door, I start walking to school when vic's car rolls up "get in" he says and I notice mike in the back seat,i sit next to him, and close the door,

"just don't tell anyone I drive you to school" vic whispers and I just nod then I realize he cant see me

"ya,sure" I say softly. and then we get to school and wait outside of the busses

"stand next to your partner" mr.dean says and mike pushes vic next to me. then goes over to some new guy named Alan, I love his ginger hair, I see him all the time walking in the hallways with that Austin kid,Austin is also new and is the star of the school's football team. I don't understand how he is the star while he just got to this school. we get on the bus and vic and I don't talk for the whole hour bus ride,oh this is going to be a fun two days.
