The Nature Spirits Have Their Say
Hello. I'm Cherry Blossom and I'm a dryad here at this camp. Thanks to all you lovely demigods and satyrs who have made me feel welcome. If you want any advice or anything, I'm the big pink tree with the carved-out trunk. Which brings me onto the last point of my brief moment in the spotlight (before we get caught). Don't carve your names on trees. Firstly, who would bring a knife to a date? Secondly, and most importantly, it HURTS. All trees have emotions, but dryads in particular can feel pain when you carve their trunks. I'm looking at you, Lou and Cecil.
Very well said, Kura-chan ~
Please don't call me that in public! And you're not an anime girl!!
Sorry Cherry. Anyways, if that's all, then can we go play hockey~?
*facepalm* You're supposed to introduce yourself!
Oh. My bad! Yeah, so, eh, I'm Maple! If you want to vent or share maple syrup pancakes or play hockey or whatever, come to my tree! It's three trees to the right of Kura-chan's tree if you're facing directly away from the Athena cabin- you can't miss it! Come visit sometime, eh ~?
Okay guys, time's up! Becky D here. I apologise so much. Yeah guys, I know you want all the new folks to feel welcome, but you need a pass! And I'll ask you this - where were you all those years that I was abandoned and alone in Camp, looking for some fellow nature spirits? Huh? Don't worry, I'm over it now. Mostly. And don't call me a nymph, you know I don't like it! Now go back to your trees before I call Chiron.
I'm so, so sorry about that. I have no idea how those two got in here. You have to ask Chiron's permission to get a recording pass, and they're too shy to talk to him. Cherry and Maple are the shyest of the dryads. They don't join in with the satyr games, but they're generally funny and kind. They make an exception for me, though, but I'm kind of a nature spirit outcast, so that's to be expected. And Maple's not too bad ~ she sometimes gives me a waffle if I play hockey with her. They sound like the Lorax, doing the whole "We are the dryads! We speak for the trees!", but they make a good point. Please, do pay some respect to nature. Cherry, Maple and the other trees must feel really bad when their life sources are harmed, the same as us naiads. A good friend of mine was almost killed when her stream was polluted. I remember one time when Percy burst a drain in the girl's toilet and all the waste got diverted into the lake. Ugh! It was horrible! The only reason my sisters and I survived was because I wasn't in the lake at the time, and I managed to dive in and rescue them. It was dreadful, though, we all felt sick for a week afterwards. Also, every time someone throws in some rubbish, or litter blows in to the water, we all feel nauseous. I guess what I'm telling you is, guys, please don't litter.
