Scout's Dishonor

It was a beautiful night at Camp Campbell. David walks to his cabin, unaware that Max, Nikki, Neil, and I were planning on escaping. We ran to the docks to get ready to leave. "Alright, guys, our first attempt to bust out of this god-forsaken hellhole didn't work." Max said. "But tonight's gonna be different, because we have a secret weapon, Billy Nikssilp." "Call me Snake." Billy added. "He's ex-Woodscouts, and he's one of the best, isn't that right, Billy?" Max asked. "Got my search-and-rescue badge in two weeks." Snake said. "Got my wilderness survival in one." "That's amazing!" Nikki exclaimed. "I never had a choice." Snake added. "The Woodscouts are some of the most intense, militant campers on Lake Lilac," Max explained. "Billy here escaped." "And why is he helping us?" Neil asked. "I'm NOT doing this for you," Snake said. "I made a vow." "Well okay, let's get in the boat." I said.

We all set sail on Lake Lilac to make our escape. "So what are you gonna do on the outside?" Neil asked. "Probably live with the animals, try and get raised by wolves, maybe work my way up to alpha, pee on stuff." Nikki replied. "What about you guys?" "Well, I live in Connecticut, so I can't really go home. Besides, even if I could, my uncle would just send me back here." I confessed. "Maybe I'll play some pranks on people in town." "Whoa! That's awesome!" Nikki exclaimed. "Neil?" "I think I'll go to my dad's house and tell him that mom sent me to an abusive summer camp, pretend to like him more so she'll try to buy back my love." Neil replied. "That's really dark Neil," Nikki said. "How about you Max?" "Max?" I wondered. Max noticed we were going the wrong way. "Billy, where are you taking us?" Max asked. "Shortcut." Snake lied. Max and I looked down at the boat and noticed that it said, 'Property of the Woodscouts.' Snake stabbed Max in the back with the candy cane he's been chewing on. "Jesus Christ!" Neil exclaimed. Snake goes over to Nikki and picked her up. "Yo, what gives?" Nikki asked. "NO GIRLS ALLOWED!" Snake shouted as he threw her overboard. "Nikki!" Neil screams as he follows her in the water. Max continues to fight with Snake. I grabbed onto Snake's arm as he punched me in the stomach. "Fuck!" I cursed. "Neil, quick! grab his-!" He said, but Neil and Nikki were gone. "Aw shit." Snake punched Max again. "You never left them, did you, Billy?" Max asked. "I made a vow, to show others the glory of the Woodscouts, and I told you to call me Snake!" He shouted, punching me again, causing me to black out.

Neil's POV

I woke up to a slap in the face from Nikki, and I noticed that I had a bunch of seaweed in my curls and was wearing makeup. Did we make it? Where are Max and Peter? "Nikki? What am I wearing? Where are we?" I asked. "Where happiness goes to die." Nikki replied. All of a sudden, I noticed a group of four girls about the same age as us. They kind of reminded me of the plastics from Mean Girls. "Oh! My! God!" A blonde girl gasped. "Is that... Nikki?!" "Long time no see." A brunette girl greeted. "Hey, guys." Nikki chuckled nervously. "You know them?" I asked. "Ew! Who is that?" A blue haired girl wondered. "Tabii, Erin, Tina, please." A pink haired girl said. "A Flower Scout always welcomes others with daintiness and respect." "Isn't that what I just did, Sasha?" The brunette girl asked. "Flower Scout?" I wondered. "Nikki, you were a Flower Scout?" "Yeah." Nikki groaned. "But they were totally boring, so I bailed." "It's so good to see you again, Nikki." Sasha said as her and her friends curtsy for us. "And?" "Nei..." I began, before getting shut up by Nikki. "...ancy!" Nikki finished. "Neeancy?" Sasha asked. "Yes!" Nikki lied. "It's spelled really dumb. It's French." "Ooh! France!" Erin exclaimed. "I think I like 'Nancy' better." Tina commented. "I'm Tabii, with two I's." Tabii introduced herself. "Well, come on, Nancy. Our morning activities are starting." Sasha explained, turning back toward the camp. "You can come too, Nikki." I noticed that Nikki's eye was twitching. I could tell that she didn't want to be here, but maybe this is what I needed to get out of that shitty excuse of a science camp. Is this what becoming trans is like? Fuck, what am I saying? No! You are a man, Neil! A man of science who just so happens to be dressed like a girl, blending in at this all girls summer camp and is NOT against trans people. Just pretend. "Man, we really lucked out." I said as Nikki complained. "Hey, you think Max and Peter are okay?"

Peter's POV

I woke up tied up to a chair with Max on the other side after getting brutally slapped by one of Snake's fellow Woodscouts. This guy was worse than the bullies back in Gravesfield who would slap me for being quiet. "Why do you keep hitting us?!" Max shouted. "And why is it only cloudy on your side of the lake?" "That's enough, Petrol." His leader ordered. "Don't want to over tenderize the new meat." "Who the hell are you?" I asked. "Cedar Scout. First Class. Edward Pikeman." He introduced. "Senior patrol leader of Woodscout Troop 818. And it looks like you're our latest recruits." "God, your face is gross." Max insulted the acne on Pikeman's face. "What?" Pikeman asked. "Oh, sorry! That just slipped out." Max said. "Dude." He frowned. "Sorry, I know." Max apologized. "That was mean." "Ya, think?" I scolded. "It really was." Pikeman agreed. "It's just, you were so close." Max explained. "Enough!" Pikeman snapped. "Enrollment into our organization has reached an all time low. So, we have no choice but to forcibly recruit new members into our program." "I mean, have you considered enrollment is low because you guys do things like kidnap other campers?" I asked. "Oh, we don't kidnap campers." Pikeman replied. "That'd be immoral." "That guy literally stabbed us in the back!" Max shouted. "No. He rescued you two, after you ran away from Camp Campbell. Remember?" Pikeman said. "And now, we're going to make Woodscouts out of you, Max and Peter. Prepare the ropes course!" "No!" Max and I screamed.

Neil's POV

The Flower Scouts showed me and Nikki a bunch of their activities, which were better than Camp Campbell by a long shot. The girls were impressed with my skills, but they seemed to be disgusted by Nikki, except for that Tina girl. She seemed like she was unsure about her peers. But on the bright side, Sasha gave me a badge for the activities we did together. "Consider yourself an honorary Flower Scout, Nancy." Sasha said. "Wow, Sasha, thanks." I thanked. "This place is amazing! Air conditioning, indoor plumbing, free WiFi!" "The badge is actually a hotspot." Sasha explained. "Wow!" I gasped. "I mean, what did you think this place was like?" Sasha asked. "A girl can't be expected to rough it in the cruel outdoors." "Amen, sister!" I agreed. "Hey, guys! Check it out!" Nikki exclaimed, showing off a huge bird she found. "I named him Timothy." "Nikki, that's incredible!" I gasped. "Eww!" The Flower Scouts, minus Tina shouted. "Huh?" I wondered. "Nikki, gross!" Tabii complained. "It probably has worms!" Erin added. "What is wrong with you?!" Sasha complained. "But, he brought gifts." Nikki frowned as the bird coughed up some worms from its stomach. "Nancy! Get away from her!" Sasha shouted. "What?" I wondered. "Why?" "Can't you see?" Tabii asked. "She's not normal." Erin chimed in. "Nancy, I know you're new, but you have to see that Nikki's just not Flower Scouts material." Sasha explained. "It's why we ran her out in the first place." "Sash, lay off of Nikki." Tina said. "Just leave her alone." "Do you want to be ran out, too?" Sasha asked as Tina backed away quietly. "That's what I thought." "You ran Nikki out?!" I asked. "Of course. It was for her own good. She's just so unladylike." She continued. "She likes bugs, and fighting, and exercising for reasons other than sculpting the perfect body image. It's like if a boy were to come in here and try to do what we do." "Whoa, hold on." I said. "The hell is that supposed to mean?" "Uh, hello? Nancy?" Sasha scoffed. "Boys are supposed to be tough." "And rugged." Erin said. "And if they pee in you, you get pregnant." Tabii added. "Whoa, Tabii!" Tina gasped. "My sister told me." Tabii explained. "Look, Nancy, that's just how the world works." Sasha said. "Now, do you want to be socially outcast, or do you wanna go get ice cream?" I looked over at Nikki, who smiled at me. I knew what I had to do now. "Y'all are some ignorant fucking cunts!" I cursed, getting the seaweed off my head as the Flower Scouts gasped. "And the name's Neil! Let's get out of here, Nikki. Also, I'm keeping the WiFi." "Timothy away!" Nikki shouted, grabbing onto me as her bird flew through the roof of the mess hall.

While the bird took us back to camp, all I could do was look down. Nikki and I were pretty high up. "Thanks for sticking up for me, Neil." Nikki thanked. "Yeah, well, paradise isn't paradise without your friends." I said. "That was super gay." Nikki commented. "We just learned a lesson about stereotyping!" I exclaimed. "Oh, right. Sorry." Nikki apologized. "Do you think Max and Peter learned any valuable lessons on their adventures?"

Peter's POV

So, Max and I trashed the Woodscouts camp with their rope course. However, we might've gotten ourselves tangled up. "You know, Peter? Maybe I don't hate Camp Campbell." Max admitted. "Maybe I hate everything." "Max, I'm getting lightheaded!" I complained. "We should've brought some tools." Where's Nikki and Neil when you need them most?
