I want to leave this Blue Neighborhood.

But there's one thing that's stopping me. His name is Mitch. And he's my best friend. I couldn't leave him, and he refuses to leave until he's through high school. So, I guess I'm stuck here until graduation. Luckily for me, I'm in senior year. The second week of senior year, but senior year nonetheless. I convinced him to move to LA with me after we graduate. We're gonna get an apartment together and pursue our music dreams together. I can't wait.

"Scott? You there?" Mitch asked me, waving his hand in my face. "What? Oh, yeah. Sorry, I was just thinking." I said. He smiled, sitting down next to me. "About what?" He asked, though I'm pretty sure he knew the answer. "About how amazing it's going to be living with my best friend and platonic soulmate in LA after we graduate as we pursue music careers together." I replied, putting an arm around him and pulling him into my side. "So what you're always thinking about lately?" He asked. "Pretty much, yeah. I can't wait though, Mitchie. Just you and me in LA together, pursuing our dreams." I said, turning to look at him. "Yeah, it sounds pretty great. I just hope that we don't lose touch after we're both big and famous." He said, smiling.

"There's no way. We're a both or nothing deal, always!" I almost screamed. Mitch started laughing, his dimples sowing. That's one of the things I love about him. His laugh. It's probably the most melodic laugh I've ever heard, and his smile is beautiful when he's laughing, even though he hates it. But somehow, that makes it even more beautiful. But also a lot sadder. There's a lot of things that he doesn't like about himself. I just want to hug him and tell him all of them until he sees them to. That's why it's so bad whenever I compliment him. Because I know he doesn't see the same thing. And wow, it drives me wild.

A/N: I just randomly got this idea yesterday to try and write a story with each chapter based off of a song from Blue Neighborhood by Troye Sivan, and decided to challenge myself with it. It'll probably have pretty short chapters, but I honestly don't know.
