Something Midoriya didn't expect to find when he came home, just as the sun disappeared under the horizon, from a long, tiring day at work, was his husband in the bathtub. Sleeping.

Sitting silently in the soapy water, only a few inches away from overflowing, his head resting against the wall behind him, was Todoroki, fast asleep and perfectly peaceful in the tub. Midoriya had always found enjoyment in his habit of watching his husband sleep, what with how undeniably adorable he looked in slumber, and while it shook him a little to find Todoroki in such a peculiar position as he'd just come home, it wasn't as if he was complaining in the slightest.

Midoriya kneeled down next to the tub, and prodded Todoroki's cheek gently, only earning a sleepy hum in response. He laughed a bit, quietly, not daring to wake him. He dipped a few of his fingers in the water; still warm, so Todoroki hadn't been in there long. Either that, or the water had first been poured out at boiling temperatures, which Midoriya highly doubted. Then again, he could have just warmed it back up on his own.

A small, imaginary lightbulb went off in his head. He had been planning to take a shower when he got home, but perhaps there was a better option he could take advantage of...

He stripped off his work clothes and carefully stepped into the tub, making a few splashing sounds as he situated himself. How Todoroki hadn't been woken up by the movement, he had no idea, but now he sat across from the man with a dopey smile on his face that wasn't going to go away any time soon. He leaned in a bit closer, slowly raising his hand and using a single finger to boop Todoroki's nose.

His face scrunched up a bit, in cute way that made Midoriya bite his lip in an attempt to hide a coo of adoration. It was only then that Todoroki's eyes finally began to flutter open, grey and blue staring half-lidded at the ceiling for a moment, before he acknowledged Midoriya's presence and his eyes focused on the slight blur of green.

"Izuku?" Todoroki sat up a bit.

"Good morning, sleepyhead." Midoriya greeted. "I found you asleep here when I came home. You ok?"

Todoroki nodded as he stifled a yawn, "I was just tired. I didn't expect to fall asleep in the bath, though."

"I can see that. How long have you been in here?" Midoriya asked, tilting his head.

"Half an hour, maybe."

Midoriya nodded. They sat silently for a few minutes, enjoying each other's company in this rather awkward but sweet situation.

Then, Todoroki leaned forward a bit. "Well, this is a bit overdue, but..." He gave Midoriya a small, sweet kiss on his forehead. "Welcome home. How was work?"

Midoriya laughed, returning his greeting with a kiss on the lips. "It was great. Want me to tell you about it?"

"Always."

With a smile, Midoriya proceeded to talk all about the wonderful time he'd had at work, which honestly wasn't that interesting. Still, Todoroki listened intently, and even when Midoriya was finished, they remained. Quiet, sitting across from each other in the bathtub like it was an everyday occurrence, both admiring the other. When the water inevitably got uncomfortably cold, Todoroki quickly warmed it up with his quirk, and they stayed, warm and content. They didn't know how long they were in there, minutes, maybe hours. But it didn't matter.

At some point, Midoriya had scooted himself over to sit closely next to Todoroki. Todoroki took the opportunity to lean his head onto the other's shoulder, earning a muted laugh. After a few minutes, Midoriya finally broke the long hours of silence, "We should do this more often. I like it."

Todoroki smiled, closing his eyes and nodding his head against Midoriya's shoulder. "Yeah. It's nice."

"...Hey, Shouto."

"Hm?"

"Don't you have work tonight?"
