This is an AU (alternate universe) edit, meaning it doesn't follow the books Izzy is involved in.

Basically, she goes after Pierce who shoots her, and when she's trying to escape, she collapses and Dan finds her. She's taken to the hospital where she eventually loses to her injuries. After the funeral Dan figures out it was Pierce who killed her, and Maze goes looking for revenge. With Pierce out of the picture, they all continue to grieve in their own ways while Izzy ends up in Heaven where she finds and reunites with Charlotte.
