What's wrong with Them?

"No, no, no...kids, Stanley!" Ford shouted in dismay as he tried waking up his twin and the others.

Ford had somehow avoided fainting...strange. But now he had to find out what was wrong with his family!

"Ok...ok don't worry, I'm going to find out what's wrong and help you." He promised to the lifeless people.

Ford flipped through each journal hoping for some sort of explanation. But there was none...

The scientist knew he wouldn't solve anything panicking this way. He sighed and picked up the phone.

"Hello, yes it's me...I need your help, come to the shack as soon as possible." Ford instructed.

He then put the phone down and checked to make sure they were even breathing...thankfully, they were.

A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door and Ford knew who it was without even looking...Fiddleford Mcgucket.

*Cue Theme Song*

"Hi there old friend, oh my...what happened to them?" Fiddleford asked.

Ford smiled at his presence. "Well long story...basically, we all got trapped in two arcade games and soon after we got here, they all complained of symptoms and just passed out."

"Huh...are they alright?" "Alive?" He asked staring at them. "Their alive, but I don't know what's wrong with them." Ford replied.

"Did ya check the journals?" "Gotta be somethin' in there." Fiddleford suggested.

"I tried, nothing...I was hoping you had some ideas since you knew about computers." Ford pointed out.

They were silent as they struggled for solutions. And the kids and Stan didn't look any better than before.

Fiddleford snapped his fingers as he got an idea. "I've got it!" "We go back to that arcade and take a closer look at the games!"

"That could work, but I'm afraid to leave them alone...what if they wake up or something while we're gone?" Ford mused.

"Hmm...we could lock up the shack, they should be alright until we get back, watta ya say?" Fiddleford said excitedly.

"You always think of something old friend, alright...let's lock up and I'll ran to my lab for some tools." Ford decided.

And soon, the two were out in Stan's car. After a while of driving, they reached the arcade.

"Hey didn't I see you here before?" The manager said suspiciously. The two exchange worried glances.

"What?" "No, no we just got here and wanted to take a look at some of your arcade games." Ford half lied.

She glared at them. "Alright then, but please, don't wreck anything!" "Already had a couple of kids in here earlier mess up the place!" She muttered.

She left without another word leaving the two alone.  They instantly got to work.

"Which games were they trapped in?" Fiddleford asked as he examined the games. Ford struggled to remember.

"I think it was pacman, Kitty, Kimber, Wendy and Stanley were all in that one." Ford realled.

"And Myself, the kids and Soos were in Rock Climbing Adventure." He added.

"Hmmm seems like there's a warning on this one." Fiddleford observed. He began to read it.

"Do not unwind blue wires" with a skull and crossbones after it." He explained. Ford looked at it.

"Oh, yes Dipper told me he saw the message, but did it anyway...he then told me that blue lighting came out of the game." Ford replied.

"I think the sparkin caused by the wires somehow glitched and pulled em in to whatever game they were playing." Fiddleford guessed.

Ford nodded. "I think your right, but we still don't know what caused their symptoms and passing out." He sighed.

Fiddleford thought a moment. "What were the symptoms, they all have the same ones?" He asked.

Ford wracked his brain desperately. "Well, based on before they all had dizziness, head pain, extreme weakness."

Fiddleford wrote that down. "What about you?" He questioned Ford. "Yes, I had dizziness and weakness but no head pain."

The two were puzzled now. Why was it that Ford had experienced the same symptoms and was fine?

Fiddleford suddenly gasped. "Wait a minute...you were trapped in the portal for a really long time, what if you were fine because your body is used to radioactivity similar to games?"

Ford's eyes widened. "It all makes sense now, the only thing we don't know is how to wake them up." He sighed.

"Don't worry, I think I know what to do." Fiddleford assured mysteriously. Ford eyed him, waiting.

"Follow me back to the shack and hurry, I have a plan." Fiddleford ordered hastily.

He and Ford hurried to the car and drove back to the shack. Fiddleford quickly grabbed a bowel of water and poured it on them.

Ford was confused. "Um...I don't get it."  He stated bluntly. Fiddleford shushed him. "Look, their waking up!" He whispered.

The man was right. They all seemed to be awake and fine now. No dizziness, pain or weakness. Ford smiled.

"Kids, Lee!" He shouted attacking them in a hug not wanting to let go. They hugged back in confusion.

"Um thanks Poindexter, but um your kinda squeezing me and the kids." Stan said. Ford smiled wider.

"Um Grunkle Ford, are you ok?" "Your acting really cray cray!" Mabel announced hugging back.

Ford released them. "Quick, how do you all feel?" He demanded. Kitty smiled. "I'm ok!" She shouted.

"Me too, I'm not dizzy anymore." Kimber agreed happily. Wendy and Soos claimed to be ok too. And Dipper was normal as well.

"We're all fine, but all I remember is coming out of that arcade game and falling asleep " Wendy assured.

Soos agreed. "Yeah dude, we're pretty much normal." He smiled. Dipper Looked at everyone.

"Wait, Grunkle Ford you saved us?" He asked as he smiled. Ford nodded.

"Yes well, I couldn't have done it without the help of my old partner and friend, Fiddleford Mcgucket!" He cheered.

"Wow, thanks old man Mcgucket!" Kitty smiled and hugged him. He hugged her back happily.

Dipper stood and faced everyone. "Guys, I'm so sorry for ignoring that warning." He apolgised sadly.

Mabel crushed him in a hug. "Aw it's ok Dipping sauce, we forgive you!" She assured. He grinned.

"Really, even after I almost got us all killed?" He reminded guilty. "It's ok Dipper, really don't beat yourself up over it." Kimber promised.

"Yes, it was a mistake Dipper, not your fault." Ford added smiling at the boy kindly.

"Thanks for understanding guys, And from here on, I'll never ignore another warning sign ever again!" Dipper declared.

"That's good to know." Stan laughed and ruffled up Dipper's hair. He laughed and pounced on Stan.

After everything calmed down, everyone did their own thing and Fiddleford and Ford were left alone.

"How did you know to pour water on them?" Ford asked curiously. His friend shrugged.

"Dunno, just had a hunch." He replied with a wink and a laugh. Ford nudged him playfully.

"Oh c'mon, I'm not going to fall for that again, how'd you really know?" He asked.

Fiddleford took a deep breath. "Well...I had to do it to myself when I accidently got involved with radio activity, mistakingly spilled water on myself." He explained.

"Oh...well, thank you." Ford said sincerly. "I don't know how I would have woken them up if it wasn't for you." He admitted.

Fiddleford offered a warm smile. "Aw shucks, thats what partners are for." He replied happily.

Ford smiled back. "Yes, partners." He repeated. They took this moment of silence to reflect on the past.

"Hey Grunkle Ford!" "Stan got his head stuck in the chair again!" Mabel suddenly yelled from the living room.

Ford laughed and helped his partner up. "Well, I'd better get the butter again...see you real soon, old friend."

And with that, he left looking back once and still holding the same grin. "See you real soon."

"See you real soon..."
