In a small city, a young redheaded teen was lying on her bed with a book of paranormal mysteries in her lap. She had bright, hazel eyes and freckles. She wore a colorful jacket with am aqua headband, dark blue jeans and colorful shoes.

"Kimber Courdory!" "Can you come down here please?" A women called from downstairs.

Kimber looked up from her book. Sighing, she obediently went downstairs with her book in hand marking the page.
The women stood with her arms crossed as she eyed her daughter.

"Kimber, every summer you lock yourself in your room reading mysteries." "I think it's time you got out of the house and gotten some fresh air.

Kimber eyed her mom in confusion. "Mom, were in a small city with no nature, how will I be able to get some fresh air?" She questioned.

Her mom picked up the phone. "You know your cousin Wendy in Gravity Falls?" She asked.

Kimber nodded. "Yeah, why?" "I haven't seen her in a few years." She replied.

"Well, I think it's time you have." "I've called Wendy and asked if she would be interested in watching you this summer." "I've heard she has a few friends there as well." Kimber's mother coaxed.

Kimber thought a moment. "Well...um wouldn't it be like a lot of money for a bus ticket?" She muttered.

"Wendy has sent one already Kimber, your going." "Now go pack, the bus will be here in an hour." Kimber's mother said firmly.

Kimber sighed and went upstairs to pack. Right now, it was only her and her mom in the house. Her 3 brothers had to go to military school for pranking a teacher on the last day.

She got out a suitcase packing clothes, her special hat, all of her books, her notebook and a stuffed bear named M an M.

"Ok mom, I'm all packed." "But won't you be lonley here?" Kimber asked nervously. Her mom smiled.

"Maybe a little, but the boys will be back at the end of the summer before you get back, ok?" She replied.

Kimber nodded grabbing her suitcase. A meduim sized bus drove up the street, eying Kimber.

She gave her mom one last hug goodbye and set off. Strangly, the bus was vacent. The driver was in his mid forties and kind of grumpy. Kimber read her mysteries as they drove on.

After about an hour, the bus suddenly stopped a large, unsettling town with a huge sign reading....
