Mabel screamed loudly as she walked into the kitchen. Waddles was licking his hooves like a cat and Kitty's cat Melanie was sniffing around.

"Mabel what's wro-oh my gosh!" Dipper exclaimed once he saw what happened.

Waddles meowed and looked up at Kitty curiously. Melanie snorted and licked Mabel.

"Ummm did Waddles just meow?" Kimber asked blinking rapidly.

"Yup..." Mabel and Kitty replied in unision.

*Cue theme song*

"Grunkle Ford, what happened?!"  Mabel questioned holding Waddles in her arms.

"Oh my, well it seems the eclipse caused Waddles and Melanie to switch brains." Ford explained.

"What?!" Kitty shreiked hugging her kitty who was really Waddles in a way.

"Now what?" Dipper sighed looking at the confused girls and bewildered pets.

"Is there any way to change them back?" Kimber asked hopefully petting Waddles.

Ford hummed in thought. "I'm not exactly sure, but I promise we will help them." He assured.

"How?!" Everyone blurted out at once desperate for an answer. Ford ran a hand through his hair.

"I don't know yet, but there has to be a solution somewhere, don't worry." He promised.

"Soooo Melanie is a pig and Waddles is a cat?" Soos concluded.

Ford nodded and began flipping pages and running back and forth to his lab.

"What's going on Poindexter?" "And why is Kitty's cat trying to eat an empty can?" Stan asked.

"Waddles and Melanie switched brains, I'm making something to change them back." Ford replied.

Mabel sighed as she petted her pig-cat. She hoped Ford could find a way to change them back.

"I hope Waddles is going to be ok!" She mused worriedly. Melanie licked her.

"Don't worry Mabel, I'm sure my brainiac brother can think of  somethin'." Stan comforted.

Kitty kaughed as her cat-pig attempted to eat an apple whole and roll over.

"Well, I guess this isn't so bad, but I hope I can get my kitty back to normal." She smiled.

Waddles meowed in response. He nuzzled Kitty and licked her face with his tounge.

"I've got it!" Dipper suddenly yelled jumping up exitedly. He pulled out the old blue carpet.

"Ummm what's that?" Kimber asked confused. She poked it cautiously.

"Long story, it's a body switching carpet!" Dipper replied hurriedly unfolding it.

"Great idea my boy, this might help swap their brains!" Ford cheered grabbing it.

"But I thought it swapped bodies!" Mabel pointed out knowingly. She shuddered at the memory.

"It can, but if you rub yourself on it a certain way, it swaps minds also!" Ford explained.

Mabel immediatly grabbed Waddles and Kitty grabbed Melanie.

"Ok first, rub their paws on it." Ford instructed. They did so without question.

"Then make them touch!" Ford added. They nodded and put their feet against the other.

Soon, a powerful shock ran through them making both girls fall over.

"Are you guys ok?!" Wendy asked helping them up. They nodded and hugged their pets.

Melanie mewed and licked Kitty. Waddles slobbered all over Mabel. Yep, they were back.

"Yes it worked!" They cheered in relief. Mabel strangled Dipper in a hug as did Kitty.

"Thanks Diporito!"

"Yeah thanks bro bro!"

Dipper struggled for breath and managed to choke out "Your welcome."

They released him apologetically and jumped as the tv began blaring.

"The eclpise is about to begin, we are headed for totality!" The newscaster announced.

Everyone immediatly gathered outside and began watching ooing and awwing the whole time.

"This is awesome!" Dipper laughed as he began filming.

"I know, it's cray cray!" Mabel added hugging her pig close to her.

The sky darkened and the pines removed their glasses in amazement now in totality.

Best. Day. Ever.
