"Omg I can't wait till it starts!" Kitty cheered exitedly jumping up and down in her dear.

"I know, it's so rare and the next one might not be for 10 years!" Dipper replied.

"What are you guys talking about?" Kimber asked overhearing the conversation.

"The total solor eclipse that's gonna happen tonight!" Mabel replied grinning.

"Really?" "Awesome!" "But how are we going to watch it?" Kimber questioned.

"Oh yeah....I forgot it causes blindness if you look at it directly." Dipper sighed.

"Aw man I guess we can't see it." Kitty said sadly slumping on the chair losing her good mood.

"Can't see what?" Ford asked emerging from the basement and seeing the downcast looks.

"Well, there's gonna be a total solar eclipse and we don't have any way to see it!" Kimber explained.

"No way to see it?" "Well perk up kiddos, I've been working on an invention to look at the eclipse safely." Ford smiled.

Everyone immediatly jumped up. "Really?!" "Where is it?" "Can we see it?" "Pleaseee!" The kids begged.

Ford laughed. "Of course, follow me and I'll show you how it works!" He agreed.

So the kids went into the basement and were greeted with a large telescope device.

"This is the Astronomical Eclipse Veiwer, but I like to call it the Eclipse or AEV." Ford explained.

He turned it on and.....

*Cue theme song*

"Woah!" "This is awesome, Thanks Grunkle Ford!" Kitty smiled.

"My pleasure, Stanley and I watched the eclipse when we were kids." Ford grinned.

"Yup, nearly burned my eyes out!" Stan laughed. "Please don't go blind kids."

"We won't, don't worry." Kimber assured happily. "Don't go blind either!" She warned.

That Night....

"It's starting it's starting turn the eclipse thingy on!" Mabel yelled. She hugged Waddles close to her.

Ford gasped. "I just remembered, the eclipse will cause animals to act strangly!" He murmered.

"Oh no!" Kitty wimpered hugging her kitty tightly. Kimber petted her bird nervously.

"How will it make them act strange?" Dipper asked worriedly.

"Don't worry." Ford assured. "Cats and dogs won't act too strangly, but they can be blinded if they look directly at it just as we can."

"And you kids better make sure to keep your cat and dog and pig inside, no going outside during the eclipse!"

Stan warned patting Waddles on the head. Mabel was still worried. "What about pigs?" She asked.

"Waddles should be ok sweetie, just don't let him outside or let him stare." Ford grinned.

"Also, there are likely to be fireworks so you might want to cover up your bird Kim." Dipper added.

Kimber nodded. "Ok, Thanks Dip!" She grabbed a cloth and covered Piplup's cage.

The eclipse began, all of gravity Falls watched in amazement as the moon passed over the sun.

"Yayyyy!" Kitty cheered happily jumping up and down unable to contain her joy.

"That was sooo cool!" Kimber Cheered smiling. "Yeah it was great!" Soos laughed.

"We survived and no one went blind!" Dipper added smiling. Mabel playfully punched him.

"Um....guys?" Mabel said softly her voice edged with panic. "Guys!" She yelled.

"What's wrong Mabel?" Dipper asked worriedly. She gestered slowly to the kitchen.

Everyone got up to see what was wrong. They gasped in surprise at what they saw on the kitchen floor.....

Also: That stuff about dogs an cats is true don't let them out during the eclipse and be careful they can be blinded as well.
