(Starfrost's POV)

"Try and keep up, slowpoke!!"
I shouted as I sped down the dirt trail on a chilly night. In the tree tops, my human best friend Toshio Madison bounds from branch to branch to keep up. Before I go any further, let me just say something. I'm an Autobot. That transforms into a periwinkle pick-up truck. Hey, you don't mess with a classic.

"Who you calling a slowpoke? I'm just as fast as you!!"
Maddie laughs.

"Only cause you're a ninja!"

"Hey, it's kunowichi to you! Ku-No-Wi-Chi."
Maddie glares at me, resulting in slamming into a branch from not paying attention.

"Some ninja."

"KUNOWICHI!!!"

"The difference?"

"'KUNOWHICI' MEANS 'FEMALE NINJA'!!!!! IT'S NOT HARD TO REMEMBER!!!"
The dirty blonde girl barks. I swerve a little.

"Dude, you nearly busted my audio receptors! Be careful!"
I scolded. Maddie rolls her eyes and hops into my truck bed.

"Okay, Mom."
She joked. Her phone starts playing her Eye of The Tiger ring tone. She scrambles for it in her pocket and pulls it out. Her bright pink jacket with black sleeves, gray high-tops and black track pants with white stripes down the sides aren't hard to miss. Along with her wild, untamable head of dirty blonde hair that goes to her hips, ruffled bangs hiding her forehead. And her backpack that looks almost identical to her jacket. Her ninja outfit, Bo staff, laptop and essentials are inside.

"Hello? Hey, Russell! .....Really?! That's awesome!! Wait, really?! No way!! Finally I can meet you in person!! And actually see what you look like. *nervous chuckle* Anyway, see you then! Bye!"
Maddie hangs up her phone, then falls on her back and squeals.

"Russell is gonna live at Denny's scrapyard since his mom working in..... I don't know. I was too excited to hear."
She sheepishly chuckled.

"What, Denny's son? The one he hasn't seen in years?"
I asked.

"Yeah! From what I know, Russell's parents split since his mother was so focused on her career. Around the time he was 2. I don't think that Russell's too excited about coming here, since his tone of voice was kinda obvious. But I am!"
Maddie rambled. I skidded to a stop at the quarry, where Maddie and I have been staying. She hops out and I transform. I have a white star around the opening of my helmet for my face. Kind of ironic, considering my name. Also, a blaster on my hip.

"Why is it that nobody comes to this quarry anymore? More importantly, why would they leave a perfectly good vehicle here?"
I wondered. Maddie facepalms.

"Seriously? We've been living here for three years and you're just now questioning it? Are you messed up in the processor?"
She walks over to the green truck and hops inside. Some other stuff of hers was in there, like a stuffed toy dog and a few ninja stars, for example. Mostly she uses it as a mini-bedroom.

"Whatever. Just drop it. Anyways, what do you know about this Russell kid?"

"Well, he's a bit feisty. Also he loves playing space-themed video games. And he's from the city."

"City slicker, huh?"

"He's been out here in the country before! When he was little...."

"Aaaand, there it is."

"Also, I may or may not...... Like, him...."
Maddie's cheeks flushed. My optics widened.

"How can you-- You've never even-- WHAT THE SCRAP?! How can you like him if you've never met him in person?!"
I stammered with disbelief.

"Who said it was about looks? When it comes to guys, I focus on their good qualities. Russell's got a heart of gold, but it takes a while for him to show it. He's got a funny sense of humor too!"
Maddie countered, crossing her arms.

"You wanna talk great guys? Don't you remember me telling you about my crush, Bumblebee?"
I rose a brow.

"Yeah yeah. His vehicle mode was a yellow and black Camaro, he was fun-loving yet serious when necessary, yadayadayada. I heard it all. I'm going to bed. Night!"
Maddie yawns and climbs into the truck, closing the door. I sigh, transforming into vehicle mode. It's how I normally sleep. Right before I drift to sleep, I mumble one thing.

"I wish I could see him again..."
