Chapter 6

*Okay, so. I ended up ennie minnie miney moeing the cover art because no one actually voted. Anyhow, I hope you like!*

As the twins ate breakfast, Ford decided to come and meet this Ezra folk. Grabbing a plate of food, the man walked calmly to his room. In retrospect, he should have been a little more prepared to find their guest on the floor.

The door opened yet again, showing an older man wearing a jacket and glasses walked into the room. "Aren't I making friends? First the kids, then a pig, now you. So, what's your name?", Ezra asked casually. For some reason, this man looked a little more like someone from his galaxy.

Good. He needed something familiar. He was gonna lose it without a reminder of where he was from.

"Stanford. But you can call me Ford. And from what I've heard, you're quite the social butterfly." Changing his stance, Ezra decided to relax. Even the guy with a blaster at his fingertips wasn't going to hurt him. He chuckled as he remarked, "One could say that."

Handing the teen his plate, Ford decided to get a better look at him, now that he wasn't covered in blood. Noticing the attention he was getting, Ezra asked with his mouth full of food, "What?"

Shaking it off, Ford casually excused, "Nothing, it's just that, you look familiar. Although, I don't think that we've met before." Getting a close look at the man, Ezra skeptically said, "No, I don't think so." He actually did look familiar, the teen just didn't know how, or why.

Ezra was reading a book he found. It was about Earth, how people there lived, all the various places. He figured he was going to like it here. After about an hour of reading, the boy got bored and decided to have another hand at walking. After all, apparently he had been through several bandage changes, and Stanford said he was getting better.

Stanford. The teen hit his still throbbing head. He had completely forgotten about the message he was supposed to deliver. Oh, well. He didn't exactly trust Bill anyway. But, he didn't like picturing what would happen if he didn't follow through either. He'll just tell the guy when they meet again. Wherever the guy is, he's fine.

Ford was out walking in the woods when he found the craft. The ship, along with everything around it, was absolutely demolished. The man was surprised no one else had found it yet.

Using the magnet gun, he pulled the ship to a level area and began to analyze the craft. Ezra had quite a bit of work ahead of him by the look of things. It was a design he hasn't seen in years, and that made him wonder.

When he caught eye of the engine, Ford was aghast. A hyperdrive. One that was demolished. The part could be replaced, but the only known place that used them was... Ford started to put the pieces together.

Reaching a breakthrough, Ford smiled. "Well, how about that." The man went back to the shack and began to list things necessary for repairs, the smile not leaving his face.
