07│SHOWTIME
DOM AND TROY walked inside together with Gabriella and Sam. They slowly stitched up their relationship. However, Troy noticed Dom had lost her confidence while singing. This however, did not stopped Troy from finally being invited to the dance studio Dom used. The Wildcat was intimidated by the dance group of Dom who just glared at him when he visited. To him this was a big step. It meant - in his eyes - that Dom was slowly trusting him.
As the four of them entered the school, a loud Kelsi caught their attention. "Bad news. Bad news." She told Dom, running towards her as she showed her the leaflet in her hand. Dom took a hold of it in curiosity.
Dom's eyes squinted as she looked at the leaflet. "Callback auditions reshecued to friday beginning at 3:30pm." Dom read the leaflet. "This can't be happening." Dom added.
Troy looked over Dom's shoulder at the date that was on the leaflet. "Callbacks are at the same time as the game?" Troy told Dom.
"And the scholastic decathlon. You were invented Dom." Gabriella remindded them as well.
"Why would they do that?" Chad said behind them, causing all four to jump as they did not expect the school team to be behind them.
"I smell a rat named Darbus." Zeke told them, reading the leaflet as well.
"I think it's two rats, neither of them named Darbus." Kelsi said, glaring at the floor.
"Do you know something about this, small person?" Chad asked Kelsi.
"Her name is Kelsi." Troy and Dom said at the same time, standing protectively along side Kelsi.
"Miss Darbus thinks she is protecting the show, but Ryan and Sharpay are only concerned with protecting themselves." Kelsi explained. "Oh those..." Kelsi whispered to herself a set of small insults.
"Maybe this is just a signal that I shouldn't be on the callbacks. First it was our fight." Dom told them, pointing between her and Troy.
"Which we created on purpose and we were really guilty and sorry about." Zeke told Dom. Dom sighed, patting his shoulder. "I made you chocolate brownies though." He added. Dom smiled brightly at him as she ate a few of the brownies.
"And now this." Dom continued, pointing at the leaflet.
"Hey, it's just a challenge. We will figure something out." Troy remind her before slowly putting an arm around her shoulder.
"Maybe I could call the dance squad and scare them off. If not, I will do them myself." Sam mumbled, glaring at the leaflet as well.
"Wait, we are going to do nothing to them. Except to think, maybe. Now this is all going to happen if we all work together." Troy said to all of them, coming up with an idea.
"You got that thinking face of yours. I like it." Dom told Troy, making him flash a charming smile at her. "And now you ruined by giving me that flirty smile. Nope." Dom said, shrugging his arm off her shoulder.
Troy sighed. "Now, who's in?" Dom sighed, putting a hand over Troy's. Sam followed along with the whole team; including Gabriella and Kelsi. "What team?" Dom asked them.
"Wildcat!" They all said at the same time.

Throughout the day, the group of friends distracted the Evans and Ms.Darbus. Everything was going on smoothly until the actual time for Dom and Troy's callbacks. Dom was running late, which only worried Troy. As if his prayers were answered, loud steps were heard outside the theater. Dom ran inside the school with her dance team behind her. She opened the doors to the theater just as other people filled in. Putting on the sweater that Moose had, she ran up to the stage. Kelsi let out a nervous laugh as she handed Dom a microphone. Troy tapped her shoulder, giving her a small smile.
"I thought you were never arrive." Troy told Dom as he fixed her hair.
"I just ran here." Dom told him, catching her breath. She fidgeted nervously with the microphone, looking at the crowd that had started to pile up. She was still wearing her dance shorts that had little stars on them. Dom became slightly self-concious of what she was wearing.
Troy noticed this, and put a supporting hand on her waist. "Hey, don't mind them. Just look at me. Alright? It's just like when we practiced, just us two." Troy told her. Dom nodded at him. Dom spotted Troy's dad from a far.
"You don't have to do this, Troy." Dom said, her eyes still on Mr.Bolton.
Troy followed her gaze, understanding why she said it: she did not want him to get into trouble. Troy put his hand on her chin, motioning her to look at him. "Hey, it's just us two. Remember. Don't think of anything else." Troy told Dom.
Dom nodded softly at him. "Just us." She took a deep breath before walking up to another side of the stage. Dom heard the intro of the song, and looked straight to Troy. The two of them sang and dance together. It was obvious the chemistry they both had with each other.
Chad and Moose raised from their seat, both supporting their friends that were singing. The Santiago twins erupted in a fits of claps and whistles, causing Dom to let out a small laugh. The blonde turned to Dom with a giant smile on her face. Troy looked at her, sharing the same smile. Without a warning, Dom jumped into his arms. Troy's smile widen as he hugged her tightly. Dom pulled away quickly before pecking in on the lips, causing the audience to whistle harder.
Troy chuckled, before pulling her into a proper kiss. Dom wrapped her arms around his neck, smiling into the kiss. A loud cough was heard from behind them, and they both pulled away to come face to face with Ms.Darbus.
Both of them took a few steps back, separating from each other. Troy failed to hide the smile that was on his face. Troy quickly, took Dom's hand and guide her off stage. Dom walked down the stage, just to be bought into a big hug by her dance team.
Ms.Darbus watched quietly as the dance team congratulated the blonde who clearly had a future in the arts. Ms. Darbus nodded at herself as she saw Troy's father congratulating his son.
"Not bad. Not bad at all...I'm sorry about what I said. Clearly, you got a chance at something more than basketball, and I'm not referring only at the theater." Mr.Bolton told his son, nodding towards the Kendrick siblings.
Troy followed his gaze, which instantly landed on Dom. "Thanks, dad." He said to me. "We still got a game to play." Troy told his team. Chad patted his back, following him. He looked behind him at Dom, who was nodding at him.
"Not bad, Ms.Kendrick." Ms.Darbus said from behind her. Dom turned to face the teacher. "Which one of this is your brother?" Ms.Darbus asked the blonde.
Dom looked at all of them. "All of them." Dom joked. However, she then awkwardly pointed at Sean. "That one." Dom muttered.
Ms.Darbus looked at Sean Kendrick, who had a polite smile on his face. "I'm proud of your sister. It is smart of her to solve dispute by dance and not by fist fighting. Although...I will ask her not to dance as close-body type dance with anybody here in school. Another teacher wouldn't be as nicer as I." The drama teacher to the oldest Kendrick. "Have a nice day, Ms.Kendrick." Ms.Darbus told Dom.
As the teacher walked away, Moose patted her shoulder. "Good job, kiddo." Sean told his little sister. "We got a game to watch." Sean told Dom, and they all walked to the gym. Long story short, the Wildcats won; earning Troy a passionate kiss from Dom in the middle of the basketball field. This was indeed the start of something new.

So this is the end! Thanks so much for the support I have gotten. I'm really thankful for it. I'm planning a sequel, so do not fear. You aren't getting rid of Dom and Troy that easily.
