Society Is Fucked Up

This is about to get deep, my friends, but I feel like someone needs to say this.

Why is society the way it is? Why can't I yell at someone to express my emotions if that's the only way? Why can't we resolve our issues by fighting fist-to-fist any more? Sometimes violence is needed to solve a problem. Why are men treated like insensitive machines who can't express their own emotions? Why are women looked down upon and treated like they're weak? I'm speaking generally here and don't want to upset anyone. I know I'm saying this like this is how everyone treats everyone else, and I know there are good people in this world. It's just that we have so many problems we need to fix first. I want to help, so I'm going to mention what I think is wrong.

What the fuck is up with sexism? Why are women seen as lesser beings than men? Sure, back when cavemen were a thing, the men would go out and hunt and the women would stay at home and take care of the family. But do we really still want to live like neanderthals? Is change such a terrible thing that it can't even be considered? So much has gone wrong in these past few years while everyone argues about what's right and what's wrong, who should be allowed to do what. Feminists have been striving for dominance more than equality lately. That's not right. Sure, the men have been dominant for however fucking long they have been, but we don't need to rule them to be happy.

Each gender has their own strengths and weaknesses. Men are stronger, but they aren't usually seen as emotional and often get teased for talking about their feelings. Women are weaker, but they're good at talking their way out of a situation. It's fucking idiotic how we see eachother these days.

Why do people who follow religious guidelines believe that everyone should follow the same lifestyle they have, with no uniqueness? Wouldn't that be boring? People are made to be different. And people are made to love, and be loved. It's stupid how many people get upset over the smallest things. Everyone is perfect from the moment they're born, but sometimes other people want to be the only perfect one. They can't stand being outshone by someone else, so they attack that person, whether it be physical or mental. It's ridiculous.

Speaking of mental and physical health, why do we value our physical health over our mental health? They're both important for a healthy life, yet when someone has a cut or a bruise or a headache, we get that treated as soon as possible. If someone has depression or anxiety, they get brushed off and have to deal with it on their own. Why do people often end up crying alone at night, not because of a physical injury, but because of something that someone said? Of something that's been spread as a rumour?

"Why can't people approach me and ask if it's true or not? Why would they believe that? Do they want to paint me as the bad guy here? Do they want someone to blame?"

The problem with rumours is that the victim often doesn't get asked if it's true or not. Everyone just believes it. They want something interesting to talk about, or laugh about, and whoever is being laughed at is being torn down for something they didn't do. Or, even if the rumours are true, I'm sure the person who did the thing doesn't want it to be spread around.

Trust me. I've been in situations that could have been avoided entirely if someone had just asked me if it was true, and taken just a little bit of time out of their day to defend me. One of these scenarios was at the end of my Grade 5 camp (you know those camping trips you go on as a class? No? OK). There was a kid who I won't name, but she had down syndrome and couldn't do much on her own. Couldn't talk, couldn't think properly, things like that. Everyone except me loved her. She was just annoying in my opinion. Why should I be expected to take care of someone else's spoiled little kid? Anyway, the kid grabbed my hand and dragged me around a bush to show me something I don't remember, and by the next fucking day there was a rumour going around saying I kissed her.

They all said I kissed this retarded little kid behind a bush. They said I forced it on her and she was upset about it. None of them asked if it was true or not. I have never kissed anyone in my life. I wasn't allowed anywhere near the kid for the next three months because even the teachers believed it. Nobody actually cared if it was the truth, they all just wanted a chance to protect their precious little spoiled retard. I was fine with being kept away from her, I didn't even like her to begin with. It just gets to me that none of the people at the school - students, teachers, parents - thought to ask me if it was true or not. I was shunned for the rest of my time in that primary school by everyone except my three closest friends.

My point here is, always double check. Ask the person if the rumour is true. Ask their friends, if you know who they are. If the rumour isn't true, back up the victim. Make sure it gets shut down. Shit like this leaves a lot more wounds than a fight would.

Scars you can't see take a lot more time to heal.

People and made to be loved and things are made to be used. The reason why we're in chaos is because things are being loved and people are being used.
