In the world there's this mindset of what it takes to be a man. To be a man you aren't supposed to cry, to talk about how you feel, to act like you care, and so on and so on. No where is this more prominent than in the black community.

It is the kind hyper masculinity that allows for certain acts to be associated as "that gay shit." It is the kind of hyper masculinity that allows for males to have to change their behavior so as not to get outcasted among their peers. It's the kind of hyper masculinity that allows for the f word to be used so casually. And it is the kind of hyper masculinity that puts people in danger.

This is a problem and one of the things we can do to vent about said problems is write about it. So this week write about the struggles of dealing with hyper masculinity. This is the opportunity to delve into what this is, how it affects people, and perhaps even the chance to see another point of view on the situation.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Main character must be black

2. Main character must be dealing with hyper masculinity in some DIRECT way

3. Chapters must at LEAST be 100 words
