Risks vs Rashness

This is the twenty-fourth chapter of the triquel; Fiendish Friends!

Worrying about her dad, Willimeena takes a big risk to try and see where he is.

This ends up plunging her into the midst of the chaos and danger, unfortunately!

Good thing that there's always a family member nearby to see her safe! I hope that you guys like it! 👍

Shrugging, the little weasel pup then narrowed her eyes as she tried to pick out where her dad was in the melee below.

The problem was: there were so many people panicking, running, and screaming for help down there.

It was very, very hard to pick out the individual possessed animatronics in that kind of crowd, let alone Willy Weasel.

The fact that he was currently endowed with super duper speed ... only increased the difficulty!

The only signs of Willy's presence were a fast orange flash, and random people dropping dead ... like sacks of spuds.

Willimeena Weasel started to bite her lip anxiously, her ears and tail flattening against her body as she whined quietly.

Waiting for quite some time in a strange place, without her dad there ... was starting to really stress the doll out!

Even though Willy had already instructed his little girl to stay in the office, no matter what!

A quiet groan behind Willimeena warned her of another worrying development.

The guard the weasel doll had knocked out earlier would wake up pretty soon ... if she didn't hit him again?

Personally, Willy's pup would rather not do that! She disliked dealing blows to people unless they were threats, or it was absolutely necessary.

The antsy Willimeena's gaze was suddenly caught by the sight of a latched, smaller window above the bigger window she was in front of.

It was at the top ... and unlocked as well! An idea began to form in the weasel pup's head as she grinned in excitement.

If she couldn't see her dad from inside the office ... Maybe ... just maybe Willimeena could see where he was OUTSIDE the office?

There was a light fixture directly beside said window, so it wasn't like the weasel doll would going very far?

She could quickly duck back inside the office if anything bad happened, right? At least, that was how Willy's pup rationalised it.

Taking a deep breath and preparing herself ... Willimeena jumped up to the small, latched window above.

She quickly caught hold of the latch, undid it, opened the small window, and then slipped through it ... with all the grace of a cat. Or a real weasel.

———

Back in the main gym, Hayesville Senior High, seconds later ...

Turns out that getting onto the aforementioned light fixture was not as tricky as it first appeared.

Due to 'Auntie Sara' teaching her gymnastics years ago, it was extremely easy for Willimeena to jump and swing herself onto the fixture.

Pure child's play ... if you pardon the pun?

Humming happily, the weasel pup settled down on her tummy on top of the light fixture.

Crossing her furry paws in comfort and hope, she eagerly scanned the scene below for her beloved father.

Unfortunately, Willimeena was unaware of one hard truth; concerning light fixtures.

They're very delicate, finicky devices which are built to only carry THEIR weight ... and nothing more than that!

Add any weight (like a person swinging, or sitting on it), and you'd run the risk of the light fixture breaking.

Even ... if the weight is just a possessed weasel doll.

A startled, panicky shriek erupted from Willimeena's mouth as the light fixture's ceiling attachments abruptly broke, one by one.

The yelping weasel doll, her fur all standing on end like a scared cat's; clung to the broken device as it plummeted down.

Luckily, due to being a soft toy; Willimeena Weasel was perfectly fine on impact! Just a little dazed, that was all.

The broken light fixture, on the other hand, was completely shattered into pieces when it hit the hard floor below.

Shaking her head a couple of times, Willy's pup brushed the debris off her ... and took a good look around at her current location.

She was now on the pitch, in the centre of the gym ... and surrounded by screaming, flailing, and stampeding people.

Right.

Riiiiggghhhtt.

This ... had obviously not gone the way Willimeena had planned it to go. The doll was now in the middle of the deadly chaos ... with no way back up to the office.

Plus, there was the fact that Willimeena STILL could not see where her father was!

Come on! Come on, Bia, think! she fiercely thought to herself. What would Daddy do in this situation? The answer then suddenly came to the weasel pup!

Oh, of course! Daddy would find one of the others! There's bound to be at least one of my uncles or aunties nearby!

Her keen eyes suddenly caught sight of a familiar artist's black beret in the chaotic mayhem only a few steps away!

Willimeena Weasel immediately smiled with relief and hope, and scrambled over to said person.

It was a bit hard to dodge all of the panicking people's feet as she went, but the weasel doll was simply relentless!

"Uncle Arty! Hey! Uncle Arty!" The aforementioned alligator instantly spun around as he heard his adopted niece's voice behind him.

The animatronic artist's face was filled with surprise and a lot of confusion as he stared down at the weasel pup.

"Oh, hey kiddo! What are you doing down here? I thought you were supposed to be up in the office?" Arty asked pointedly, raising an eyebrow as he pointed upwards.

Willimeena could only grin sheepishly as she admitted the truth.

"I kind of got worried after a while because Daddy wasn't there, and so I tried to see where he was", she explained.

"When I couldn't do that, I climbed onto a light ... but that gave way under me." Arty quietly rolled his eyes at this, and smiled wryly.

As I thought. Just like her dad. Arabia really can't keep out of trouble, can she?

Not that the animatronic alligator would ever say that out loud though!

"Can I stick with you until I find Daddy again, Uncle Arty?" Willimeena Weasel's pleading cut through the robot's thoughts.

Her cute, sparkling eyes did more or less the same thing too! Arty Alligator's ferocious eyes softened as he nodded slowly.

"Sure you can, don't worry!" he murmured, reaching down towards his adopted niece.

The weasel doll immediately jumped onto the offered arm, and crawled up it ... to her uncle's left shoulder.

Awwwwwwww! Who could resist a plea from Arabia / Willimeena? Vote and comment if you like it! 👍
