It's been one month since yash birthday went. Every alternate weekened yash came to my place and the other alternative weekends I go to chennai. And in week days as usual we both wake up by each others good morning call and talk till one sleep in the night.

now, I came to chennai to celebrate karva chauth festival tomorrow in our home. Since, it's my first time, everyone accepted to celebrate in our home. Though, it's in our home madhu aunty, renu aunty and Latha aunty are arranging for the festival as I don't know anything about the festival. My cousins are also coming tomorrow to celebrate with us.

As everyone are curious to see how I am going to hold not even having a water whole day. I am a great lover of wetting my mouth frequently. And how I am going to make through it. Yash, papa said me not to try something I can't. And yash said he knows I love him too much and will do anything for him from my comatose patient act. Others said just do what you like. Here, I am little obsessed with traditions. Said yes, without thinking that time. But, now it's making me anxious to think no food, no water tomorrow.

Yash-" come on ketu! Sleep.. If you think you can't, no problem you don't need to do. " asking me to sleep.

Me-" really! You won't be disappointed that even varsha is fasting, even she still not got married for yad and deepu, bhanu, Preeti are fasting with their pregnancy for their husbands. But, I am not for you?"I questioned. For that all I got is, him getting up from the bed and switching off the lights and taking me in bridal style and placing me in bed and covering me in bed covers. And giving me a kiss on forehead.

Yash-" good night ketu." Said and moved little and took his place.

Me-"you didn't answered my question yash" to which he sighed.

Yash-" I won't be disappointed. I will be happy that you will be healthy and also they both are elder than you and they have doing for few years and practised with the fasting. So, now sleep it's already late. My lovely wife, I will love you for you. Now, I am sleepy and good night and sweet dreams." He said and hugged me to him and slept. Leaving me to think a while, how much of sweet pie he is. And sleep took over me.

I wake up to the alarm sound. I got freshed up and went down. to be greeted by madhu aunty, renu aunty, latha aunty and mom. soon deepu, varsha, bhanu, preeti came down and we all arranged the thing needed for the puja.

preeti and bhanu are undergoing fastng to give me company. as we dont celebrate karva chauth in our caste. but, they could undergo fasting as they both had undergone many other fasting festivals. while i am none, always escaped. deepu, bhanu, Preeti can have fruits and water how-where much they want as they are pregnant, the foetus needs food. By five thirty we finished all works. ours husbands along with papa, sesh, nadan came down.

Madhu aunty fed me the sargi , a sweet made for the ritual. taking sargi means starting the fasting officially till we see moon. which is fed by mother-in-law. as she is yash mother's sister, she is my mother-in-law too. renu aunty fed deepu, latha aunty fed varsha. and for them and bhanu, preeti their husbands fed them as their mother-in-law are not here.

suddenly i saw my mom feeding yash with the sweet yummy sargi, made for the fasting people to yash.

me-" mom isnt the sargi for people who fast?" yash and mom looked like theifs caught by police.

mom-" i know" said making yash to blush from embrassment. whats with them?

papa-"so, yash are you going to fast?" yash nodded. everyone is giving a teasing look. Isn't this festival where wife fast for husband. why is he fasting?. does he have a husband?. I thought he is not a gay

I came out of my thoughts from everyone laughing and yash giving me what a stupid look to me. what did i did?.

jai-" so yash, do you have any secret husband?" oh shit!!!. seems like i SAID MY THOUGHS OUT LOUD.

yash-" shut jai.. as for as i know know this is a festival where people pray for their life partners prosperity heath and happiness. not only for wife to husband. for husband to wife too." said giving me a look that said he is angry on my stupid thoughts and a lop sided smile said something that i cant understand. and came near me.

soon deepu and varsha started to act angry on jai and yad. as they are not as sweet as yash. bhanu, preeti didnt tried saying they will end up in nose cut. and their husband said i am not compelling you girls to fast. its you who compled us to agree for fasting. it was funny as everyone of us were supporting deepu and varsha and giving points to them.

jai-"idiot yash, madhu anuty give me sargi" said sighing

madhu aunty-"why jai?" asked teasing like she dont know why?

jai-"for my bumpy sweety, I want to try fasting." Since deepu about enter her ninth month. He stomach is showing bump. Know her nickname been bumpy. And only jai has rights to call her like that. If others call, her mood swing will start. Everyone laughed. And aunty gave him sargi and deepu started smiling from ear to ear.

Yad-" you idiot yash and stupid jai."

Varsha-" stop scolding them. Bhaiya, stop the arrangements for marriage. I don't think he will do anything for me. He even can't take a fasting for me." She turned towards us. And gave us all a wink yo continue in her drama. And acted in her best like she is serious to yad.

Latha aunty-" varsha is right. I don't think my son is serious about varsha."

Yad-" no need for those dramas my ladies. Madhu aunty feed me sargi. I don't want my marriage to be called off." Everyone of us laughed and madhu aunty gave him the saargi.

Yash pulled me away to the dinning hall, away from puja room to a corner. And blocking me from escaping by keeping his arms as shield. I got little familiar with this acts of him. But, still my heart beat races whenever he comes near me or gives me this romantic look.

Yash-" so, do I have doubts on me being a gay, madam?" Asked narrowing his eyes.

Me-" maybe yes" and I winked at him.

He gave me a stupid smirk. And started to kiss me sweetly and passionately in lips. That I love a lot. And he removed his lips from me to allow me breath. But he trailed hiss toward my weak spot that he founded out to my neck. That I was clutching on him for his support. That I am loosing control. Idiot yash. He just bitten that place. Making me to surrender to him. Smiling at my skin.

Me-" Yash, my husband is the manly guy and not gay." He looked at my sulking face and smiled at me at his victory. Idiot knows my weakness.

Yash-" that's my girl. So, do you have any more doubts.?" Saying he narrowed the space between us giving me a wicked smile.

Me-" no more doubt my wicked husband." Saying I kept my hands to block yash getting anymore near me, that we both do something crazy.

Yash-"that's a good. My love" saying he gave me a quick peck in my lips.

Me-"so Milkface! You really want to fast for me?"asked hoping he will say yes.

Yash-" no" what?

Me-" then to whom?"

Yash-" to my love, Mrs. Ketika Yashwant adzi" Whenever he says my name like this. Someway my heart starts to skip a beat. And my cheeks start to heat. And I was looking at him in happiness that I am his love and he wants to be in fasting for me.

Sesh-"wherever you are lovebirds, stop your lovely dovely and come to the living room soon." Shouted from somewhere. We became lovebirds to all.

Me-" so, can we go before people come searching for us." He nodded and we went to the living hall.

We girls had mehandi and the day went slowly us spending time chatting and playing games. And teasing each other. And by evening we went and got changed to party dress that their husband present. Yash gave me a simple and beautifull off white faux georgette designed saree with red border matched with red blouse. And madhu aunty presented me the jewels to wear. As per the custom. It was nice diamond and pearl blended simple and elegant set. That match my costume well.

As I got down. All the guests started to come to our house. And everyone said I look beautiful and yash said me he is proud that he selected a superbly for me. And said I look drop dead gorgeous that he can't take his eyes from me. And we were passing time chatting with everyone. And we ladies waiting for moon.

I am too hungry and I am feeling nausea and dizziness.

Yash-" are you okay ketu.?" He asked as I sat down. Not wanting to roam anymore.

Me-" yes. I just want to sit. I am hungry that's all.. I can wait a few more minutes" and smiled to him. He nodded and sat with me.

And as moon came out after making us wait too long. Me and yash stood up and went to the centre. And I took my puja plate. And after chatting the mantra and seeing the moon through the sieve plate. I saw my husband through the same sieve to see him winking at me. And he gave me water and sweet and I broke my fasting.

And I was about to bend down to get blessings from my husband like other ladies.

Yash-" we are partners na. We are equal. Please don't bend down for me ever." Said as he stopped me before I bend down and touch his feet. I smiled at him. And saw everyone busy at the ceremony. And just kissed him in his cheeks.

Me-" okay. Then let me show my respect like this." He smiled at me.

Yash-" I like this type of respect to much." I laughed at him.

Me-" okay.. Come let's go.. I am feeling so hungry. " and also nauseous and dizzy.

And yash bought the plate from me.

Yash-" I have to end my fasting to na?" I nodded.

And he did like I did saw the moon through the sieve chanting the mantras and then saw me through the sieve. I am blushing but, still winked at him as he did and everyone laughed at us. As everyone finished everyone is looking at what yash is doing. I gave him water and fed him sweet. And he kissed me in my cheeks too. Making everyone laugh at us. And me blushing crazily an hid my face on him.

Later we all went and had foods. And then we all decided to play anthakshari. All young adults are one team and children's one team and elders one team.

We are playing. And children's team and our team is in tie and the adults are a point down us. The game was going so excitedly. But, I am feeling nauseous and dizzy.

Me-" yash, I like to go inside the home" I said standing up.

Yash-" why?" He questioned me. Should I say him?

And suddenly I left like I am loosing the balance.
