At midnight.

Randhir returned home.

Harsh was waiting for him.

"Randhir..." Harsh said

Randhir stopped.

"Where were you?" Harsh asked

Randhir turned.

"Office..." He said

"Why did you not come early and attend party?" Harsh asked directly.

"Because I had work in office"
"My work is my priority" Randhir replied

"Not as important as your wife Randhir"
"For god sake you are not single now" "You are married"
"You have a wife..."
"You should spent time with her" Harsh said

"Doesnt matter to me Dad"
"single, married are just status..."
"Of course I am married but it doesn't affect me or my life in anyway" Randhir replied

"How can you say this Randhir?" "Sanyukta was waiting for you in the party"
"She was expecting you with her..." "How can you do this to her?" Harsh roared.

"I didn't ask her to expect me or wait for me in the party"
"And moreover Dad, this party was for her...not for me"
"It was welcome party for her...so...?" "Doesn't matter if I attend it or not" "She was there, you guys introduced her to the people"
"That's it..." "There is no need of me to attend the party" Randhir said

"Randhir she is your wife"
"You married her..." Harsh said

"Yes she is my wife Dad"
"Just for name sake..." "Just a tag"
"She is just an addition to our family" "She has her own life, I have my own life..."
"I won't interfere in her life and she should do the same"
"We are two individuals living our respective lives under same roof"
"I don't expect anything from her...and she should not be expecting anything from me" Randhir said

"Then why did you marry her?" Harsh questioned her

"For you and Mom..."
"You guys wanted me to marry her so I did"
"But this won't change my life..."
"I will live my life the way I want..." Randhir said and left for his room.

He came to his room and found Sanyukta sleeping.
He looked at her for few seconds and went to washroom to change.
He came and lay next to her on bed. He was so tired that he slept in no time.

Next Morning.

It was 7:30 when Sanyukta opened her eyes.

Randhir was already getting ready for office.

"Good Morning..." she chirped

"Good Morning..." He replied wearing his socks.

"You are leaving for office?" She asked

"Yeah..." He said

"So early...?" She asked

"Its my routine..."
"I leave for office at 7:45..." He said

"Ohh...I didn't knew it"
"I will quickly prepare breakfast for you" She said while getting up from bed.

"No need..."
"I had my breakfast at 6:30 after returning from gym..." Randhir said

"Okay..." she said

Randhir stuffed his laptop in bag and grabbed his coat.

"Have a nice day Randhir..." She said
while he was wearing his coat.

"Thanks..." He said

"When will you return home?" She asked in a hope

"Can't say...depends on my work..." He said and left.

Sanyukta felt bad.

She arranged the room properly after Randhir left.

She freshen up and joined Renuka in kitchen.

"Good morning Sanyukta..." Renuka chirped

"Good Morning Maa..." Sanyukta said

"What happened?" Renuka asked

"Nothing..." Sanyukta nodded.

"Aacha...Anjuji had called.." Renuka informed

"Maa..." Sanyukta mumbled

"Yes...early in the morning"
"I think they forget about the time zone..."
"Go and talk to her..."
"She must be waiting for your call" Renuka said

Sanyukta called Anju.

"Maa..." she said

"Sanyu...how are you beta?" Anju asked

"I am fine Maa..."
"How are you and Papa?"
"How is Sumit and his studies going...?" Sanyukta asked

"We are fine beta...just we are missing you so much" Anju said

"I miss you all Maa..." Sanyukta's eyes welcomed tears.

"How is everything there?"
"Are you liking the new place, new house" Anju asked

"Yes Maa..."
"Everything is fine"
"Renuka Maa and Harsh Papa are just like you both"
"They take care of me..." Sanyukta said

"And Damadji...?" Anju asked

Sanyukta kept mum.

"How is Randhir, beta?" Anju asked
her again.

"He is fine too...." Sanyukta wiped her tears and replied.

"Are you happy?" anju asked

"Yes Maa..." Sanyukta replied controlling her tears.

"God bless you..." Anju blessed her

"Will call you later" "Take care" Sanyukta hunged up the call.

Sanyukta rushed to her room.

Renuka understood it and gave her time.

Day turned into night.

Sanyukta was serving dinner to Harsh and Renuka.
Her face looked sad and dull.
Harsh signalled Renuka.
Renuka assured Harsh of her being fine.

"Why?"
"You don't want to have dinner" Harsh asked

"No Papa..." "I don't feel like..." Sanyukta said

"Are you fine Sanyukta?" Renuka asked with concern

"Yes Maa...I am fine" Sanyukta forced a smile

"Have some fruits and milk before you sleep" Renuka said

"Yes Maa..." Sanyukta said

Later at night.

Sanyukta was standing near the window waiting for Randhir's arrival.

Moon was shinning brightly in the sky.
Stars were twinkling and the night sky looked beautiful.

The door of the room opened and Sanyukta's wait came to an end.

Randhir came.

Her face welcomed a smile.

"You get fresh, I will serve dinner for you" She said

"No..." He said

She looked at him.

"I mean...I already had my dinner in office" He said

"Okay..." She said

Randhir threw his coat on couch which Sanyukta collected immediately.
She folded the coat neatly and was about to keep it wardrobe when he stopped her.

"Let it be..." He said

Her hands stopped.

"I mean...I will do it" He said

"It's okay..." She said

"No Sanyukta..."
"I don't like anyone doing my work"
"I mean...I can manage on my own"
"I don't like anyone touching my things so I do it on my own" He said

Sanyukta looked down.

"Okay..." she said and kept his coat on the couch again.

She felt bad.

"One more thing..." He said

She looked up at him.

"You don't need to wait for me"
"I mean...I usually return home late at night so you don't need to wait for me for dinner"
"You can have your dinner with Mom and Dad"
"Also...no need to stay awake for me" "You can sleep whenever you feel like..." He said

She just nodded.

He went to washroom to change.

Sanyukta adjusted herself on bed.

She closed her eyes and tears rolled down from her eyes.

She wiped her tears hearing the click sound of washroom door.

She closed her eyes tightly faking that she has fallen asleep.

Randhir joined her on bed.

He was in deep slumber in few minutes.
