A week later.

Sanyukta and Randhir were getting ready for office.

Sanyukta was busy packing her bag for office while Randhir was wearing his shoes and stealing glances at her.

"I am ready..." she informed him.

She carried her purse and was about to leave room when he stopped her.

"Suno..." He said

She stopped but didn't turn.

"I have site visit today..." He said

"Okay...I will manage..." "I'll call cab and go..." She declared

"Listen to me first..." He said

She turned to him.

"I didn't say anything...."
"I will drop you to office and then go..." He said

"Randhir I am not new to Toronto now" "I can go alone..." She said

"But I'll drop you..." "Why do you want to go alone...?" He said

"Till how long you are going to drop me Randhir?" "Someday I have to learn to travel alone on my own" "I can't depend on you everytime ..." "I'll manage..." "You can directly go to the site..." She said and left the room.

Sometime later.

Sanyukta reached office and resume her work.

She got a call from Randhir which was....UNEXPECTED.

"Hello..." she said

"Tum thik se pahuch gayi?" He asked

Sanyukta was shocked to listen.

"Haan..." she said

"Okay..." He said

"Aap kaha hai...?" She asked

"On the way...will reach in sometime" He said

"Okay..." she said

"Bye..." He said

"Bye..." she said

Hours rolled on.

Sanyukta was busy in work.

She had a meeting post lunch so she was preparing for it.

Just then her she got a call from reception.

"Mam...just got a call from site" "They are waiting for Randhir Sir..." Jenny their receptionist said

"Waiting...?" She thought

"Jenny transfer the call to me..." Sanyukta said

Jenny transferred the call to Sanyukta.

"Hello Mr. Stephan..." "Sanyukta Shekhawat here..." Sanyukta said

"Mrs. Shekhawat we are waiting for Mr. Shekhawat" "He has not arrived yet..." He said

"But he left for site in morning..." "He should have reach till now..." Sanyukta said

"But he has not...Mrs Shekhawat" He said

"Okay Mr Stephan..." "I am sorry for inconvenience​ ..."
"I'll see...and let you know" Sanyukta said

"Sure..." He said

The call disconnected.

"Randhir aabhi tak pahuche nahi hai site pe?" She thought.

She called on his phone.

So many thoughts came across her mind in those few seconds.

Finally the call got connected and she heard his voice.

"Helloo...." he said

She sigh in relief. She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe.

"Kaha hai aap?" She asked

"Main...woh..."

"I was so scared Randhir" "just got call from Mr Stephan..." "You haven't reached site yet..." "Where are you?" She said

"in hospital..." He said

"What...?" "What happened Randhir?" "Are you fine...?" She said with concern

"I am fine..." He said

"Then what are you doing in hospital..." she said

"I met with a small accident..." Randhir said

In no time Sanyukta reached hospital.

"Randhir..." she dashed inside the room.

Doctor was treating Randhir.

"I am sorry to disturb you..." She said on realising that she entered without permission

"Ohh...Sanyukta" doctor exclaimed

"What happened to him doctor?" "Is he fine...?" She asked

"Yeah fine..." "He fractured his right hand and right leg" Doctor chuckled

"Doctor uncle..." Randhir looked at him.

Dr. Sinha is their family doctor.

"Bhaisahab seedhiyoon se gir gaye" Dr. Sinha told Sanyukta.

"Pata nahi kaise...?" He chuckled

"Main...woh...my leg got slipped..." Randhir said

"And he drived till here..." doctor said

"Thank you doctor uncle..." Sanyukta said

Dr. Sinha nodded

"When I can go home uncle?" Randhir asked

"Whenever you wish Randhir..." doctor said

Sanyukta and Randhir were left alone in room now.

Sanyukta informed Harsh about Randhir's accident.

Meanwhile Randhir took some rest.

"Are you okay now?" "Can we go home..." She asked him.

"I am fine...we can go home" Randhir said

Randhir tried getting up from bed.

He was not able to stand properly.

Still he managed to stand with the help of support.

Sanyukta paid the bill and came back to room.

She found him standing and trying to walk.

He was about to fall but she saved him at the right time.

Their eyes met for a eyelock.

"Can I help you?" She asked

He nodded.

He had no other option but to take help from her.

She circled her hand around his waist.

He circled his hand around her shoulders.

She helped him in walking.

They reach home.

Harsh and Sanyukta helped Randhir till the room upstairs.

"How did it happen?" Renuka asked

"Mom...my leg slipped and I fell down from stair case" Randhir said

"You should be careful Randhir..." Renuka said

"Sorry Mom..." Randhir said

"Take rest now..." Harsh said

Randhir nodded. Harsh and Renuka left room.

Soon it was night.

Sanyukta served dinner to Harsh and Renuka.

Meanwhile she filled plate for Randhir.

"Maa...can I go..." She said Renuka nodded.

Sanyukta came to the room.

"Dinner..." She said

Randhir was damn hungry and waiting for food.

Sanyukta arranged a small table for him on bed.

She spread a piece cloth on it and placed the food plate on table.

Randhir looked at her.

She got up and filled a glass of water for him.

She kept the glass on side table of their bed.

She then got busy in her work of arranging her clothes in her bag.

Randhir was finding it difficult to eat.

He couldn't hold spoon properly with left hand.

He looked at Sanyukta but she was busy.

He tried again but some food spilled on his shirt.

Sanyukta got free and saw him struggling.

She went to him.

She understood his problem.

She quickly wiped off the stain from his shirt with help of tissue.

"Main kha nahi pa raha hu" He said it finally.

She looked at him.

She looked down at plate.

In no time, she started feeding him.

There was utter silence between them.

Soon he was done with dinner.

"Pani.." she handed a glass of water to him.

He drank it.

She collected the food plates and went down.

Randhir couldn't stop but smile remembering the incident that just took place.

Later at night.

Randhir took medicines.

Sanyukta helped in laying down on bed. She covered his body with blanket. She spread a mattress for her on floor.

"Why are you doing it?" He asked

"You need rest" "You sleep properly on bed" "I will manage..." She said

"No need of it Sanyukta..." He said

"It's okay..." She said and slept Randhir find her behaviour weird.

Soon they both were into deep slumber.
