Next Morning.

The party incident became sensational news in the newspaper.

Renuka and Harsh got to know about it.

"Yes inspector, Sanyukta and I are coming to police station" Randhir said over the phone.

Sanyukta, Harsh and Renuka were having breakfast.

No one asked anything to Randhir.

"Sanyukta get ready after breakfast" "We will go to police station" "They want to take your statement against Steve" Randhir said

"I don't want to give any statements" She said

"What...?" "But why...?" "Steve misbehaved with you..." "You are expected to give statement..." "Tell police what exactly happened there..." "It will help to get good punishment to Steve" Randhir said

"I don't want to give any statements" "I don't want to punish anyone..." She said

"But Sanyukta..." "Steve deserves a punishment..." "Why are you saying no...?" "And I am coming with you.." He said

Sanyukta didn't say anything and left the place.

Randhir found her behaviour weird.

"What happened to her Mom?" Randhir asked

"I don't know..." Renuka said

Randhir looked at Harsh.

Harsh turned his face to other side avoiding Randhir.

Randhir followed her to their bedroom.

She was busy in her own work.

"Why do you not want to go?" He asked

"I don't want to drag the matter" She replied

"What?" "Sanyukta...what are you saying?" "It's not dragging the matter...but he deserves punishment" He said

"I don't want to punish anyone Randhir" She said

"What are you saying...?" He said

"I said...I don't want to make a much bigger issue out of this now"
"I don't want to stretch..." "Let it be..." She said

Randhir went to her and held her arm.

He turned her to face him.

"He misbehaved with you..." He said

"So...?" "I did what I should do with him right there without expecting any help from anyone"
"It's normal in Canada. Right? ..."
"It happens..."
"I should protect myself from such people..."
"I did..."
"Now I don't want to drag this matter unnecessarily" She said

"See Sanyukta, I know...I...know what are you saying but..."

"Randhir...please" "Don't force me..." She said

"Sanyukta but..." he stopped in middle

She left from there.

Sometime later.

Sanyukta was helping Renuka in kitchen.

Sanyukta was lost in thoughts when her finger got cut.

"Ouuch..." she screamed in pain.

"Aare...Sanyukta...what are you doing...come with me now" Renuka quickly applied some termeric powder on her wound.

"Jal raha hai..." She scream in pain.

"Thoda jalega..." Renuka said

Renuka then applied ointment and put a bandage on her wound.

"It will be fine soon" Renuka said

Sanyukta looked at the bandage.

Her eyes became moist.

"Maa...I am slowly losing all my hopes" Sanyukta said

"I am losing my hopes from this marriage"
"I am losing my trust..." She said

"Don't say this beta..."
"Give sometime..." Renuka said

"Maa...I am giving time to it since first day of our marriage" Sanyukta said

"I know beta...I understand..." Renuka said

"Maa...Randhir could have stopped all this"
"I had let him know about my discomfort..."
"But...." Sanyukta wiped her tears.

"No Maa...I am not saying him to protect me all the time"
"I just want him to be on my side..whenever I face such situations" "I want to feel secure in his presence..."
"Maa...he promised me at the time of our wedding...that he will protect me" "Not as wife, but for humanity...he could have protected me" Sanyukta said

Renuka was dumb.

Whatever Sanyukta was saying was true and Renuka didn't have words to say anything.

She was ashamed of her son and she can't blame Sanyukta.

"Now...what's the point Maa..."
"Why should I go to police station and give statements against him"
"And now Randhir wants to do something for me..."
"Why now Maa...?
"What's the point..." Sanyukta said

"It is my mistake..."
"I should completely stop expecting from him..."
"I got ready for him...because I don't want to embarrass him in front of people"
"But he didn't even noticed me..." "One thing I have learned Maa..." "Unhe mere hone se na hone se koi farak nahi padta"
"Main hu, nahi hu...unhe koi fikar nahi hai"
"Unke dil main,unki zindagi main meri koi value,koi jagah nahi hai..." She said

"Aaisa nahi hai Sanyukta...please aaisa mat socho" Renuka said

"Woh mujse kabhi pyaar nahi karenge"
"He will never love me Maa..." Sanyukta rushed to her room.

Renuka shed some tears seeing Sanyukta's state.
