NINE

Carrington Hill

I was probably more excited for my date with Harry than anything the next day when I woke up. He went back to his room once we ordered room service and ate everything because it was around half past twelve in the afternoon when we woke up and since he decided to take me out for dinner, we ordered a bunch of stuff to my room. That served us as breakfast and lunch although I knew I was going to have something else a few hours later as well.

Mia stumbled up to my room around twenty to two and she didn't leave me alone until I told her everything that happened. She said she noticed Harry and I hanging out all yesterday during the wedding because she was with other guests when we didn't goof around together. Plus she mentioned she was terribly sorry for not spending the whole night with me but I told her it was okay because it was her big day and I understood completely that everyone wanted to dance with her and Aiden at least once.

It was pretty safe to state that Mia was ecstatic when she heard about my date with the boy who I fangirled over just hours before meeting him on the first day. Yes, that's exactly how she described Harry. She thought she was funny and because I laugh at everything, I laughed at that too and so she thought she actually was hilarious.

But, in my personal opinion no one was funnier than or as funny as me.

My best friend and I both suffered from a pounding headache so after ordering some tablets for our hangover and a big bowl of fruit between the two of us, we decided to go down to the beach. This time I decided to wear my blood orange coloured bikini which had a netting part to it on my chest and the straps went around my neck, showing a bit of side boob but nothing serious. The side of the bottoms went up high on my waist and had a strong bikini line which I didn't mind as it helped accentuate my body shape and made it seem more hourglass-y.

Before we left, I took a mirror selfie which I edited right away but only posted it when we were on the beach. As I was going through the comments I was surprised to see a notification pop up from a verified user who followed me.

Yup, that's right.

It said harrystyles and the smile on my face from the lovely comments turned into a huge grin. I have had no clue why he followed me because I just knew that would end up in his fans finding my account and asking me a million questions about how I knew him.

"So do you like Harry?" Mia asked me out of nowhere, her voice curious and I could tell she was smiling as well.

I didn't answer right away despite the fact that I knew I did. I wouldn't have let him stay the night yesterday and I wouldn't have spent my time with him then agreed to the date if I didn't. I was a tad bit unsure whether he liked me and really wanted to be with me but what he had told me last night cleared my head.

He really wasn't interested in other women who were models like himself when I thought he would be.

"I do," I admitted, turning my head in her direction to see her smile. "It's weird though, like he is gorgeous, Mia. So gorgeous. And he supposedly likes me and actually wants to hang out with me."

"I know right? Crazy how handsome he is," she agreed as she laid back and put her sunglasses in front of her eyes. "Imagine how cute your babies would be," she laughed and I joined her.

Mia was always so random and so was I to be fair because we just spoke whatever popped into our heads. The fact that she thought about how cute kids would Harry and I make was just a small example of the crazy stuff that we share between one another.

"We haven't even been on our first date, yet," I chuckled and last night's events popped back into my mind. The fact that we almost kissed but he backed out made my heart sink a little because I was hoping it would happen but maybe tonight.

"Do you think he'll kiss you?" she asked and I shrugged my shoulder although she couldn't see it. "Aiden told me he is quite the gentleman so maybe that's why he didn't do it last night. He probably didn't want to rush it or wanted it to be more special."

"I love a gentleman," I said with cheekiness in my voice as I laid under the sun, letting it caress my body and also allow it to make me look tanned. "Ugh, I'm sort of nervous."

"About the date?" Mia asked and I hummed as a response. "Don't be, it's gonna be fine. He's lovely and you are too. You'll be okay."

"I suppose, it's just been a while since I've been on a date."

"Trust me, I know that," she laughed. I rolled my eyes behind the tinted lenses of my sunglasses and let a quiet sigh out. "The only dates you've been on were the ones with your ex and our friend dates."

"I'm a loyal hoe, what do you expect? I had a man, I wasn't about to cheat. Plus I loved it every time us two hung out between lectures and stuff."

"Between lectures you were busy hanging out with him, babe," she corrected me and I once again, rolled my eyes and tried to keep my smile back because it was true. I spent a lot of time with my boyfriend at the time but I never neglected Mia once. "But I did and still do love our little dates."

"I thought so because we are not about to stop them just because university is over and you are married."

"I should be saying that to you, madam," her voice sounded a bit like she was offended but I knew she was just messing around. Our friendship was weird because we were weird and terribly sarcastic. People would think we hate each other's guts judging by the way we talk to each other. "You spent more time with your model man than with your best friend."

"Don't make me remind you of the fact that you are the bloody bride and everyone wants to be in your presence. I was left on my own until my knight in shining Armor came and saved me from dying due to boredom."

"Whatever," she murmured and I smirked because I knew I won.

Harry texted me earlier that he would come to my room around half six but he'll more likely get here at seven. Just that message made me laugh and I thought about it while I was taking a shower and even when I was getting dressed.

My makeup was done when I moved onto straightening my hair and finally getting changed. It took me ages to find something to wear because I wasn't thinking about the fact that I'll be taken on a date while in Hawaii. All I imagined happening was me tanning, swimming in the sea and taking pictures of the scenery since our rooms were located near the beach.

However with the help of my best friend I managed to find something wearable so I was saved. God was on my side that night and I was hoping he would stay there throughout the whole date.

I wanted this to work out.

Harry was too lovely and too goddamn attractive for someone like me but I wanted him desperately. He just made me smile whenever we hung out and whenever he popped into my mind I was a goner. Although I wasn't sure whether he left my thoughts at any time since we met. I'm pretty sure he homed himself in and wasn't planning on leaving.

I had all my accessories and clothes on around ten to seven so I was just sitting on my bed, being on my phone as I watched everyone's snapchat stories. Considering I was too into it and I couldn't stop laughing I didn't notice that anyone came in the room until Harry jumped on the bed and scared the living shit out of me.

"You are so annoying," I told him under my breath quietly with squinted eyes while I've tried to normalise the beating of my heart. Harry laughed and pushed himself up from my bed then I followed him.

My eyes ran up and down his body, well, outfit as discreetly as I could make it out to be because he looked good as hell. He had a flower patterned shirt on, the first two buttons left undone with a pair of blue denim shorts that ended just above his knee a little bit. He had a pair of white converse on his feet to top off his outfit and I was amazed.

"You look good," I told him with a small smile on my face which caused him to giggle and I died for a second there. He freaking giggled.

"Well, thank you. You look stunning as ever," he complimented me and I swear my cheeks turned bright red as I heard his deep voice and saw his smile.

"Oh, behave," I told him with a small eye roll then put my phone in my little bag that I hung over my right shoulder. "So, are we gonna go eat or what are we doing?"

"Do you wanna eat?" he asked me genuinely and I nodded. Wait, did I say something wrong? Should I not have asked him if he's ready to go? "We're gonna go and eat then."

I ended up smiling because he did and when he let me go towards the door first I felt weird. Like, those butterflies that everyone talks about all the damn time were there and they were flapping their wings in my tummy like crazy and so I almost felt like throwing up. A weird sensation shot through the palms of my hands as well, it was sort of like a strange pain, not to mention they were sweating as well.

Basically, I was a damn mess and we only just left my room.

"Are you nervous?" Harry asked me as he walked next to me and I swear we were so far away from each other another person could have easily fitted in between us. I didn't answer him though because I was too nervous and I didn't trust my voice. I didn't like that. "It's okay, I'm shitting myself too."

"Really?" I looked at him quickly as a wave of relief rushed through my body and I became a bit calmer. "I mean-,"

"Carrington, take a deep breath, yeah?" he stood in front of me as we stopped walking; his hand slowly took a hold of mine as his gentle voice sang itself into my ears and completely calmed my nerves.

I did as he told me to; I even closed my eyes as I inhaled a big breath through my nose then gradually exhaled it through my mouth. Once I felt more like myself without those nasty nerves I started to open my eyes to meet Harry's soft smile and crazy beautiful green eyes.

"You good?" again, his voice was super gentle as he spoke to me. I felt like a baby with how soft he sounded and as the waves crashed against the sandy shore behind us mixed with his words and I died a little bit on the inside at how sweet the whole moment was.

"Better," I nodded with a smile which he returned, his hands gripping mine a bit then he let go of one and kept my right one in his left.

"I thought we could go to the beach after dinner? Just to take a walk and talk a bit, if you want to, of course."

"If we'll end up drenched again I will hide all your fancy shirts," I threatened him but I was just messing with him. I wouldn't actually do that. Or would I?

"You are not the first one to say that," he told me as a little laugh was heard from him and soon he carried on with the story. "My mates tell me that all the time and so it doesn't affect me anymore."

"Well, tell them I told them to actually do it one day," I stated. "If we'd known each other for longer I probably would do it but since we only just met, like, three days ago, I can't just go and hide or cut your stuff up."

"Let's say, just like hypothetically speaking, if we were together and then we'd have a fight. Would you go and actually destroy my shirts? My Gucci and YSL shirts?"

"How many more luxury brand names can you drop?" I teased him but at the same time it didn't surprise me that he had the best of everything. The outfit he wore probably was worth more than all the clothes I bought with me. "But, the cutting clothes depend on what we fought about and how mad I would be."

"Have you done any crazy shit like that before to anyone?" he asked me, his voice laced with curiosity.

"This one time I broke Mia's eyebrow pencil because she messed with my makeup brushes and of course she had to go for the biggest, fluffiest one which was my favourite. So, to pay her back for what she did, I went for the most expensive eyebrow pencil she had because she's absolutely obsessed."

"Oh, godness," he laughed as he commented on what I had said. "Did she make you buy you a new one?"

"She said I had to but I never did. She didn't take my brush into consideration so I just ignored her shitty pencil."

"Do you two fight a lot?"

"We're just messing around, never deadly serious. People tend to think we cannot stand each other judging by the way we talk to the other but it's pure love, you know," I explained. "But, let's not talk about Mia. She's been chewing my ear off about thi-,"

I had to stop myself. I almost gave away the fact that Mia and I talked about this date more than we probably should have. Though when I looked at Harry, his lips were pulled into a smile, the cutest one I have seen with his dimples popping into his cheeks deeply.

"I agree, let's talk about something else," his fingers slowly slipped between mine to intertwine them. This caused my smile to widen and my heartbeat to increase. "How about you tell me what you want to do now that you have finished university."

"Oh, um, I definitely want to keep up with dancing since I have all the time in the world. More competitions will open their doors for me because I'll be able to travel more considering I can stay away for more than one night."

"Where have you travelled before?"

"Most of the time I go to Croatia because they have the best competitions. The whole atmosphere, the people and even the music they put on for us to dance is so, I don't really know how else to say it, but it's just homey. I feel good when I'm there."

"I've never been to Croatia, it wasn't something I ever thought about," he shared his thoughts with me. I was glad he joined in on the conversation, always having something to say and never letting me feel like I was just running my mouth for nothing. "I think I might have to visit there someday."

"For sure, I mean it's a stunning place and it is really affordable. I love it there," I rambled on about the place with a huge grin on my lips. "I've also been to Italy a few times and a ton of competitions were held in London. With me being at uni London was the only place I could really go to plus my partner was studying as well but he was in a different university and so we had to compromise a lot."

"How long have you and that partner of yours been dancing together?"

"We got together just a little bit over five years ago," I answered. "We've both always lived in Manchester and went to the same dancing studio, we just had different classes. And when my partner decided to just stop dancing I was left on my own until my old teacher got me a new boy."

"Oh, right," he said quietly. "When do you have your next competition coming up?"

"I'm pretty sure there's one in London next week on Saturday but Alex and I haven't decided whether we want to go yet."

"How come?"

"Well we're missing out on a week's practice this week because I'm here and he's working most of next week. We don't really know how we could fit in some time to get together plus we have to register as well to be put into our category."

"Can I come and see you dance if you decide to go?" he asked me excitedly with his eyes focusing on me until I looked at him. "I could see you in full action. Oh my god, you have like a pretty dress on as well, don't you?"

"Yeah, I do," I laughed. "If you want to come you can but like I said it is not definite. I'll text you about it?"

"I'll remember that," he winked at me before asking me further questions about my hobby. I loved that he was interested in what I did.
