Putting all together

FLASHBACK.

July 8th, 00:20.
The bar next to the hotel.

"Oh shut up... that girl had so many problems that it was me who found her mentally unstable..." Bakugou rolled his eyes. Their faces were already colored and the bottle of sake had already lost half of its content.

"I always wondered..." Camie took another sip and laughed again, "...if your date with Himiko Toga was her like: *oh, I would love to drain Izuku Midoriya's blood and drink it*, and you like: *really? I would rather blow him to pieces and grin while I do it. Let's be friends!*" she lost it at the thought of that scene.

"You can laugh all you want. But nobody puts Deku in his proper place but me..." he acidly replied, finally grabbing the bottle at his third attempt.

"That's touching..." Camie teased as he served her another.

"You know... I was actually there when he confessed to the Round Face..." Bakugou's expression was something between amusement and cringe.

"Picture this: we are outnumbered in the middle of a fight, the rest doing what they can with their extras' Quirks, I am blowing everything I can to the point I'm literally running out of sweat and the reinforces I didn't ask for are taking their time. Uraraka is hurt. Not so badly hurt, but for Deku must be like she's actually dying. Surprise, surprise, he is not focusing and that leads to some of his bones broken, like when he was an idiotic amateur, instead of just an idiot. When we are finally surrounded and with no way out due to hundreds of robots' shooting bringing the building to pieces, I am not worried at all, because a true hero always wins in the end. But Deku goes to the Round Face, he comforts her, he says we are going to be OK and I-don't-give-a-fuck-so-I-don't- remember-what... and what does the asshole do?" Bakugou asked as he took Camie's curious face in his hands in order to mimic the moment.

"No way! He tells Uraraka he...?" Camie found it a bit funny but also truly heart warming.

"I mean, REALLY!?" Bakugou nodded and let her face go. "By then, she was probably the only member of Class 1A who didn't know about his feelings towards her. He had hours, days and months to grow a pair... and he chooses that precise moment!? And not only that: when I am still trying to believe my ears..."

"Midoriya asks Uraraka to be his girlfriend!!" Camie's eyes and mouth wide opened.

"LIKE THAT!! NO WONDER WHY THE ROUND FACE SAID YES IN TEARS!!" Bakugou screamed, giving a clap and rubbing his forehead. "I was so shocked I forgot to kill him! People think I am a jerk, but they don't know how hard it is to be surrounded by a whole class of morons everyday!!"

"People in love tend to act that way. Even heroes. Don't you remember when you tried to get me a plushie from the claw machine?" asked Camie between laughs. Bakugou almost spitted the sake when he remembered. They were at an amusement park and he was doing his best to behave smoothly. But after four failed attempts Bakugou run out of coins, frowned, took a deep breath and told her to stay back. He yelled "SHINEEEEE!" at the machine and blasted the glass with his Quirk, and then he took all the plushies he could hold in his arms for her.

"That claw machine was shit and you know it!" Bakugou growled. "I just took what I had paid for! Nothing to do with that lame and bad timing declaration!"

"And in that situation... wouldn't you have done the same Midoriya did?" as soon as she had made the question Camie wondered what was that for. She had definitely drunk enough...

"Listen, Camie... if you had been there with me, I wouldn't have let any villain or piece of walking garbage to lay a finger on you in the first place..." he left his glass aside and stood as still as he could while talking. "And if... that... had happened... to you..." he couldn't get sleepy now, "...the city wouldn't be big enough for them to escape from my explosions..."

Could it be the sake or Bakugou was getting fluffier and yelling far less than usual? Good thing the bottle was now empty.

"You know, you can actually be a real charm..." said Camie, deeply moved.

"Make no mistake!" Bakugou told the two Camies he was seeing. "I am the best and coolest hero the world has to offer! And a girl like you would never deserve less, but..." he got more serious and kept going as if he was talking more to himself. "I know you wanted kids... and it is not like I was scared... it's just... everything about me screams *not-the-father-of-the-century*... and I shouldn't bring a child to a world where I wouldn't be able to take care of him properly...not even the Icy-Hot deserved that..."

"Katsuki..."

"You deserve the best, Camie... but also someone who make you fully happy..."

END OF THE FLASHBACK

********************

July 8th, 12:15.

U.A., Heights Alliance.

"...and that's when my memory starts to get blurry" Camie sipped a cup of coffee and looked away. It was the most embarrassing thing she ever did, but she needed to tell someone. "But I remember what happened once we made it to the suite..."

The effects of the party had been easier on the rest of the girls and right then they were at Heights Alliance, in formal clothes and helping the bride to get ready. However, Toru, Mina and Tsuyu weren't expecting to see Camie so early... and let alone the twist the night had taken for her.

"Whoa..." Toru spoke for the three amazed girls on the couch of the living room. "Did you two talk about it?"

"I got out of there as fast as I could" answered Camie. "The worst part is that as the hotheaded he is, to Katsuki this means we are about to get back together. And that's me to blame. I know we both had a hard time after breaking up and I don't want to make it more difficult for him".

"How do you feel, ribbit?" asked Tsuyu, concerned behind her huge black eyes.

Camie hold the cup tightly with her hands and lowered her eyes.

"Last night we talked and enjoyed some time together after months of not contacting each other. He was as arrogant and stubborn as ever, but... he was also calmed and more willing to open himself and admit some flaws..." Camie confessed. "Truth to be told... I am having mixed feelings".

"Love rises from its ashes, huh?" Mina internally squealed. As the self-proclaimed "love expert" of the group, she had felt bad for Bakugou and Camie, but this happening just before a wedding seemed like out of a Hollywood production.

"That's not a good thing, Mina" Tsuyu told her, guessing what their pink friend would be thinking of. "Camie is going through a hard stage and she can't think clearly with all this going on".

"So... what are you going to do today?" asked Mina. "With Bakugou... and your date? You didn't tell us you had one, by the way".

"No, I didn't... because I don't actually have one..." Camie felt like the stupidest girl on Earth. "I told him that at the beginning because... well I don't know! Maybe I was afraid something like this happened! Or maybe I just wanted to convince myself I had moved on..."

"Something is clear as daylight. You two are missing each other" Mina stated.

"I don't know what should I do. But this is between he and me" she finally declared. "Right now I am really mad at him..." and yeah, at least a part of her was still missing him, "...but this is not the place or the moment to handle this. Today is Uraraka and Midoriya's wedding and I shouldn't be boring you with my problems. I'm sorry, girls".

"Don't worry! Mina Ashido's Love Adviser's Office is open 24/7!" the Acid User said, making her two pals roll their eyes.

Meanwhile, in one of the habilitated empty dorms, Momo and Jirou were finishing tying up Uraraka's hair and doing her eyes, even if she had never been a big fan of make up. The Uraraka's were already overexcited and filming those previous moments before the ceremony.

"Aaaand... there you go! Ready to steal the show!" announced Momo after placing the white flower and the veil on her hair. The wedding outfit was now complete.

"And not only for being the bride!" Jirou gave her approval. "Oh! I can hear Denki arriving with the car! I hope he isn't wearing that stupid chauffeur's hat...". Kaminari had failed so many times he could rival Spongebob Squarepants, but he had finally gotten his driving license and what a better occasion to use it than giving the bride and her parents a ride to where the ceremony would take place. Fortunately it would be a very short way.

"Come on, Kyoka. We must go to the UA's rooftop and make sure everything is OK. Shoto called and told me some of the boys looked better than others after Midoriya's stag-party".

"What about him?"

"Midoriya's been in U.A. for hours, according to Eri. He must be in a hurry to get married" Momo chuckled.

"And nobody can blame him! Look at our baby girl! All grown up in a wedding dress!" her Dad held the camera, on the verge of happy tears.

Uraraka looked into the mirror and hardly recognized the rosy cheeked sixteen year old teen who needed to push away her crush on her best friend. She couldn't help but happily smile. The dress, the bouquet, the perfect face... all proved today was the day Deku and her were saying the magic words. Safe from the press and work, and surrounded by all the people they cared about.

"You look so beautiful not even Izuku is going to believe it!"Mrs Uraraka didn't hold back.

"Mommy, Daddy, stop!" laughed Uraraka. "If you cry over the dress it might get smaller!"

"See you later, Ochako!" Momo said when she and Jirou left and gave the Uraraka family some privacy.

July 8th, 12:40.

Heights Alliance's entrance.

Thanks to Eri's Quirk, Kaminari was as smiley and dorky as usual after a whole night of fun. At the moment, he was proudly taking himself some selfies with the convertible car he was about to drive, when Momo and his girlfriend crossed the door. Jirou kissed him and warned him not to act stupidly now he could legally drive. Kaminari crossed his heart and told them they could trust him, since he knew their friends needed that day to be perfect.

The Sun was shinning and the weather was making it a breathtaking signature July's noon while the two girls walked towards the U.A. However, Jirou noticed her friend wasn't feeling that well.

"Momo, is everything all right? You look stressed and dizzy..."

"Oh yes, I'm fine!" Momo answered as she sweated a bit. "It must be the heat...and the stress of being the bridesmaid...and... I guess I'm a little nervous".

"You have fulfilled your task as bridesmaid to perfection. And it's normal you are nervous. You are going to meet your boy's parents there".

"I met Mrs Todoroki before and she's a lovable woman. It is the other one who bothers me..." Momo admitted.

"Endeavor? I see no reason why he would dislike you. And even if he did, you know Todoroki won't give a care. He truly loves you, you know?" Jirou calmed her. Todoroki had never got on well with his father, but since his mother had gotten better and got out from the hospital, their relationship had been relatively stable. "Come on, forget about dorayakis" she said taking the bag Momo had picked up from her. "We are going to a banquet, remember?"

"I know! I'm telling you! I'm so stressed I can't stop eating sugar things!" Momo cried.

"And what for?" Jirou teased, using her earphones to tickle her. "Doesn't Todoroki tell you you are the sweetest thing alive?"

"OK, OK, stop it!!" Momo loudly laughed until she stopped. "Thanks, Kyoka, I feel better. You know, if someday we heroes must act in the shadows like it happened decades ago, we could all open a Coffee Shop like that one we discovered while we catch the bad guys in secret..." she joked. "Kyoka?" she then realized Jirou had stopped in the middle of the way. She looked distracted by something. "Kyoka, what's wrong? Did you forget something?" Momo asked in concern.

"Huh?" Jirou answered, coming back to Earth. "Oh, no! I was just... thinking about Denki..."

"Easy, dear, he'll do fine. He may not be the best driver, but he's become less childish since you are living together, hasn't he?"

"Oh, yeah... you bet he has..." Jirou did his best effort to hide her feeling of pure shock. Fortunately, they met Kota and the Pussycats at the entrance of U.A. and they didn't keep talking about it.

"Do they even know...? No, it can't be... I must be mistaken..."

End of chapter 14.

I wanted to do it a little longer but I don't want to sature you with too much information. It's Christmas after all and I'm probably giving too much of a headache with this plots and sub-plots.

But now we have a clue about why Bakugou and Camie originally ended their relationship, don't we? I'm portraying him as the hotheaded jerk he always is, but also trying to make him sympathetic and somehow caring. Besides, who didn't dream of blasting those damn claw machines where it was literally impossible to get the plushie?? 🤬🤬

I know this wedding is taking forever to take place, but I am writing as fast and as well as I can😭😭😭.

This is Honest Fiction sending his Merry Christmas from Europe to all my followers and reader. I wonder if I should upload a photo or something...

Oh and that joke about a Coffee Shop is a reference to another of my favorite MHA fanfics, by TellerOfTheScrolls, here in Wattpad. I personally recommend to give it a shot👍🏻👍🏻 .

Now I have a few days of vacations let's see if I can work hard enough to end the story before the holidays are over. I can't promise it though, since there are a lot of chapter left for what I have planned.

Anyway, thanks for coming! Read, enjoy, comment, vote... be my guests!

Feliz Navidad a todos!! 🎅🏻🎅🏻🤶🏼🤶🏼
