Shadowhunters

The Undead Legion, an organization of Undead creatures and humans under the command of the Living Undead Dragonlord, currently stationed in Kuoh Japan, swiftly carved a name for themselves, engaging in counter-terroristic operations. The 25 intelligent undead separated into several divisions currently maintained the numerous operations they engaged in.

As for the leader of the Undead Legion...

A tired and sweaty Issei panted lightly as he felt his muscles ache from a passionate night of studying.

"Dear goddess of breasts, I thank you for your bounty and blessings on this world," The pervert prayed with a grin to a handmade altar.

Bang

A bullet suddenly struck the head of the Dragonlord of Doom and his body fell to the side, splattering blood and brain matter on the ground.

"Ow... this feels familiar," Issei whispered to himself as steam escaped from his hissing wounds, pushing the bullet out while his body healed. Countless bats escaped the sanctity of their hideout and Timothy, the loyal butler that he is, immediately drew a longsword and grabbed his master's body.

A slight glint in the woods caught Issei's attention as a bullet soared through the skies. Blessed silver rounds, able to put him out of commission for a while if they deal enough damage.

A cyan flash appeared from where he was as the bullet hit the ground.

"Found you," Issei whispered as his Soulweaver trench coat appeared in front of him while a visor formed on his head.

Cyan streaks dashed through the night sky as Issei ran as fast as he could, shifting between the void and Earth to move faster several times. Arriving at the spot, Issei frowned as he only saw a casing on the sniper nest where he just was. Instincts honed by countless battles warned him in time as the sniper nest exploded and would have harmed him if not for a quick Soul Blink on a nearby tree branch.

'Blessed silver shrapnel, someone who knows my skills is hunting me down,' He thought to himself before opening a rift back to his headquarters.

A figure can be seen hidden by the woods, looking as Issei disappeared from view.

0-0-0-0-0-0

"We're being hunted," Issei said, looking at Timothy, Luna, and Seele. "Blessed silver rounds,"

"That's concerning," Kallen said, looking at her sister and master. "Someone skilled enough to track us here and sneak past our wards in possible sniping areas?"

"..."

"Issei?"

"It's nothing," Issei said, looking at Luna and Kallen. "Shadow Strike,"

Hearing this, the sisters nodded and looked at each other with determined looks on their faces. The Shadowhunting squad, a code designated to hunt down possible spies or assassins, is only known to Timothy, Luna, Kallen, and the intelligent undead of the Strike Division. While Issei trusted his undead minions, it did not mean they did not have their motives.

"Orders received," Kallen said with a bow.

"Orders confirmed," Luna said with a grin.

"Seele, can you prepare something?"

"What is it, Issei?"

"I want you to prepare the bunny hunting equipment,"

"Bunny Hunting? That dangerous?!"

"They knew how to disable my wards. The assassin used one of the sniping spots we found and trapped it with anti-undead elements." Issei clarified, wincing a bit as he felt the phantom pain of the bullet going through his head. If he had been in his older form, he would have sensed it but in his younger form where he could only safely release a fraction of his full power? It was a different thing.

"I have an idea who it is," Seele said with a sigh before standing up and fixing her pajamas. She was having a nice sleep just before being woken up by gunfire. She was a bit cranky, cranky enough to let loose a bit.

Seeing the slight shift in her aura, Issei paled. Sure, he could contain Seele even if she was pissed but it would be too hard in his current state and he could only access his adult form for a limited time per day. It was so unfair that the girls were much more powerful than him!

Sure, he can cut through dimensions and break them with a punch but that was with hellish training of the Song of the Stars! Kiana's pyromancy was leagues above his own, able to form hotter flames by instinct without breaking a sweat, Mei was a trained swordmaster and skilled enough in the arts of Dragon caring thanks to her kind nature. Seele is a demigod with ties to life and death and her potential in Necromancy far outclassed his outside of combat.

Well, he did have his specialty in weaving with souls. The art of Battleweaving, the artisan techniques of Soulweaving, was modified for combat, essentially marking him as a criminal if anyone from the Soulweaving academy of Edelia saw him fight with his spirit Looms. Tomix, his best friend and mentor in the art of Soul weaving only managed to teach him the basics of the Soulweaving art but Battleweaving, was the first form he mastered outside of Dragon magic.

The Dragonlord of Doom glanced at his reflection in the nearby mirror and at the black sclerae with blue eyes and no pupils, reminding him of his true status as a living undead. It was kind of weird that thanks to his exposure to the elemental orbs, he did not have the same weaknesses as most undead do and he was still 'alive' per se.

Gently, the Dragonlord of Doom pulled the Dragonlord of life and death into a gentle embrace, trying to calm her as much as possible. A rampaging Seele that was cranky from being disturbed while in her sleep... it must not happen! Tracing patterns on his fellow Dragonlord's skin, the young man sighed in relief as soft breaths escaped the young woman in his arms.

"Tut," The head of the Legion's Intelligence division, a Mummy, bowed from outside. "Gather information on all factions we have connected with either positive or negative," Issei ordered as he carried Seele like a princess. "Seele has an idea who it is but she needs to rest for now,"

"At once, My lord," The mummy said with a bow, disappearing from view as the Dragonlord of Doom retreated to a safe house with a quick cut through dimensions with the use of a dagger.

"You got shot?!" Mei asked, looking at Issei while she finished cooking, a ladle in hand as her stern glare pierced his soul.

"In the head, it was a marksman who used anti-undead bullets and managed to sneak past our wards," Issei revealed, enjoying his cup of tea while Kiana looked at him with a raised brow.

"Issei! You got shot!" Irina said, looking at her childhood friend in worry. "How are you still okay?"

"Magic," Seele, Kiana, and Mei said at the same time, knowing what the young man would say.

"Magic," Issei replied to Irina.

"If someone did sneak up on you, is your security lacking?" Xenovia asked, eating some bread as she looked at the Dragons on the ground nearby inside the Hyoudou household.

"Issei, sweetie, are you sure you will be alright?" Miki asked, preparing some meals on the table. "I mean, an assassination attempt?"

"I'll be fine, Mom," Issei said with a smile. "It's more or less a greeting. There are only a few people who should know of my weaknesses and how to bypass my wards without tripping them,"

"You think..." Kiana looked at Issei, lowering her chopsticks before sighing. "Great... she found us,"

"Yeah, it's her," Seele said with a smile, having recovered from her lack of sleep. "She's the only one skilled enough to pass under our radars. But why did she try to assassinate you?"

"Who are you talking about?" Issei asked, trying to scan his mind for all the assassins he fought before. There were a lot!

"it might be an ex-lover of yours, Issei!" Gorou Hyoudou said with a grin, causing Irina to pout.

"Uncle Gorou!"

"Nah, I only have a few of them on Lore and most of them are already here," Issei said, looking at Mei, Kiana, and Seele. "You think it's a manahuntress?"

Soft wingbeats echoed in the air as the little bundle of green scales named Draco landed on his head and opened its mouth, releasing a chirp.

"What do you mean you got food from a stranger?!" Issei asked, grabbing Draco from his head and looking at his dragon's red eyes. "You do not take food from strangers!?"

"I'm not a stranger," A dull bored voice echoed inside the room causing Asia to stand in front of Miki, for Asia and Xenovia to draw their holy swords, and for Issei to smile as he felt the barrel on the back of his head. "Big sis Mei, Seele, Kiana Idiotka,"

"Hey!" Kiana shouted, lowering her pistol. "I'm not an idiot!"

Bella just giggled as she remained seated on Kiana's lap.

"Big sis!" Seele said with a pout as she gently pushed the barrel away from Issei's head.

With a smile, a young teenager around Seele's age smiled and poked her forehead before slinging the rifle on her back and bowed toward Miki and Gorou. "Greetings, I am Bronya Zaychick, I was one of Issei's traveling companions in Lore," She introduced herself as her gray hair tied into a pair of twin tails bounced.

"Captain Bronya!" Luna, who was sitting on the couch, watching TV, smiled and hugged the petite Russian woman. "I need your help! Boss got shot!"

"I know, I was the one that shot him," Bronya admitted with a frown. "You got sloppy," She said, glaring at the back of the Dragonlord of Doom, "You used to always dodge all my attempts to assassinate you even before you mastered your skills as a Dragonlord," She said with a cold disappointed tone. "Honestly,"

"What are you, my wife?!" Issei asked, a bit annoyed, not at her but at himself. In the absence of the usual dangers of Lore, he lowered his guard down and his skills rusted a bit.

"No, that would be Seele," Bronya said with a grin as the aforementioned Dragonlord turned red at the reminder of her complicated relationship with the Dragonlord of Doom.

Hearing the information made his parents, Irina, Xenovia, and Asia freeze. His parents were beyond ecstatic, sure, they knew about his nights with Kiana and Mei, but for him to have a Wife?! A person that will be there for him by his side no matter what?! It sent them over the moon!

Not to mention the future grandkids!

Irina looked at Seele and felt a small bit of jealousy, her beloved childhood friend was already married?! But she still had a chance! He wanted to be a harem king, right?! Well, she will just prove herself worthy but isn't that sinful?!

Asia just marveled at the two. She had seen how the two Dragonlords treated each other with respect and adoration whenever they visited the church and helped around. They were also good with children.

Xenovia, well, she was being Xenovia.

"It's a soul-bonded Marriage," Issei clarified. "Not the real thing,"

"Y-yeah!" Seele said, pouting at Bronya. "But I wouldn't mind..." She whispered the last part only for her body to freeze and for the blue parts of her eyes and hair to turn red.

"Don't have any ideas!" A more mature and direct voice compared to the usual escaped Seele's mouth as she turned to the girls and hugged Issei protectively. "Seele has already claimed her spot as the number one in his heart!"

"Other me!" The sweet voice of Seele came out this time as the red parts turned blue.

"Enough about that," Snapping her fingers, Tut and the rest of the Intelligence division entered the house with a bow in their human forms, delivering boxes. "I brought gifts for everyone,"

"That's bribery!" Kiana shouted with a pout as Bronya smugly smirked at her before turning to Gorou and Miki.

"I have heard a lot about you from Issei, I was not sure of your preferences but please accept my gifts and I apologize for the commotion I have caused," She said with a perfect 90 degree bow.
