Chapter VI

"I don't care if you think I'm crazy or weird." ~Yadomi "Jintan" Jinta (Anohana)

Sora, Donald, Goofy and I got into the Gummi Ship. On the outside, it looks like a bunch of Lego pieces put together. But, it was pretty roomy on the inside. Two chipmunks helped us get equip any extras to hope us through our journey. Both of them wore yellow overalls. One of them had a black nose who was named Chip. The other one had a red nose. His name was Dale. After we were done setting up the Gummi Ship, we entered the route that was leading us to the next world. The route had a bunch of Heartless that looked like Lego pieces, but we blasted them to bits. Eventually, we got to the next world. It had a pink heart-titled floor and a couple of houses on it. According to our scanner, the new world was called Wonderland. We got off the Gummi Ship and entered the world.

We started falling into a room. But, instead of falling down really fast, we were slowly floating to the floor as if we were defying gravity. There was a sound of multiple ticking clocks. Sora, Donald and I landed feet first, but Goofy on the other hand, was taking a nap while we were floating down and landed face first. As Goofy got up, a white rabbit with a suit, spectacles and pocket watch ran past him yelling: "Oh, my fur and whiskers! I'm late, I'm late I'm late!" The rabbit looked distressed, as if being late to somewhere was a big deal. "Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! I'm here, I should be there. I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! The queen, she'll have my head for sure!"

We looked at him with curiosity. As he ran off, I asked, "What was that about?"

"Dunno," Sora said. "But a late talking rabbit is the least of our worries. We have to find Riku and Kairi while destroying the Heartless at the same time!"

As we walked out of the room, a door opened with another door inside and that door opened with yet another door inside and when that door opened, a long, dark corridor loomed ahead of us. We entered a very colorful room and saw the white rabbit run through a door. As I examined the room, I realized that everything was so small! Sora bent down and examined the door the white rabbit went through. "How did he get so small?" He questioned.

The doorknob opened its eyes, "No, you're simply too big."

We recoiled and I shrieked, "What the--"

"It talks!" Cried Donald.

The talking doorknob yawned, "Must you be so loud? You woke me up."

Goofy waved, "Good morning."

"Good night," It said. "I need a bit more sleep."

"Wait!" I cried. "Is there some way to get small?!"

"Why don't you try the bottle...over there?" Asked the doorknob.

We turned and saw a chair appear and a white table pop up. Two bottles, one blue, one red, sat on the table. We walked over to the table and I examined the two bottles. "It doesn't say how long the effect will last." I frowned.

"Well, let's just hope it's long enough so we can get through the door," Sora said as we chugged the bottles.

Then, everything started getting bigger until we we're small enough to get through all the entrances and exits in the room. When we went through a hole, we saw card of all types guarding the entrance. Once they parted, a blonde girl with a blue dress and white apron was standing on court with a quite plump, blacked haired queen. The white rabbit we saw earlier ran up stairs, panted and blew his trumpet. "Court is now in session!" He gasped.

The blonde girl looked shocked. "I'm on trial? But why?"

"Her majesty, the Queen of Hearts, presiding!" Yelled the rabbit. At the jury stand was a quite plump queen in a red-and-black dress.

"This girl is the culprit. There's no doubt about it," The queen yelled. "The reason is...because I say so, that's why!"

"That is so unfair!" Cried the blonde girl.

"Well, do you have anything to say in your defense?" Questioned the queen.

"Of course!" The blonde girl defended. "I've done absolutely nothing wrong! You may be queen...but that doesn't give you the right to be so...so mean!"

The white rabbit looked distressed and glanced back and forth from the Queen of Hearts and the blonde girl. "Silence!" Boomed the queen, causing us to wobble back a bit. She slammed her hands on the court table, "You dare defy me?"

"Hey, guys?" Sora asked. "We should help her out."

""Yeah, but--" Donald started.

"We're outsiders, so wouldn't that be muddling?" Asked Goofy.

"Meddling," Donald corrected.

"Oh, yeah. And that's against the rules," Goofy explained.

"The court finds the defendant...guilty as charged!" She yelled, pounding her fists on the court table again. This queen sure has anger issues.

The blonde girl covered her mouth, shocked to see that she was declared guilty. "For the crimes of assault and attempted theft of my heart..." She calmly said. Sora gasped, thinking of something. "OFF WITH HER HEAD!!!!" Yelled the queen.

The card guards moved, preparing to take the girl and execute her. "No! No! Oh please!" The blonde girl begged.

"Hold it right there!" Cried Sora as I punched aside the card guard that were standing in our way.

"Who are you?!" Asked the queen. "How dare you interfere with my court?"

"Excuse me! But we know who the real culprit is!" Sora said.

"Uh-huh," Goofy nodded, "it's the Heartl--" He gasped and covered his mouth for some reason.

I turned and faced her, "Anyways, she's not the one you're looking for."

"That's nonsense," The queen said as she tapped her heart staff against the court table. "So you have any proof?"

"Um..." Sora mumbled as I facepalmed. So much for trying to help her. I facepalmed. Now we're going to get executed next for interfering with court.

But, instead of ordering for our heads to be chopped off, one of the guards locked the girl in the cage next to the queen. "Bring evidence of Alice's innocence!" She boomed. "Fail, and it's off with all of your heads! Gather as much or little evidence that you please. Report back when your ready."

We walked over to the caged Alice. "Who are you?" She asked.

"I'm Sora," He said.

"Sakura," I added.

"I'm Goofy, and that there's Donald," Goofy added, pointing to Donald.

"Pleasure to meet you, though I wish it were under better circumstances," Alice said. "I'm sorry you got mixed up in this nonsense."

"Why are you in trial in the first place?" Asked Sora.

"I would like to know the same exact thing!" Alice sighed. "Apparently, I'm guilty as I took stand!"

"That's crazy!" I cried.

"So, where are you from?" Asked Sora.

"Hm, curious. I can't quite remember," Alice replied. "You see, I found this mysterious rabbit hole. When I tried to take a peek inside, I tumbled in head over heels...and I found myself here."

"So you're from another world!" Cried Sora.

"That's funny. Maybe you don't need a ship then," Goofy pondered.

"I don't get it," I said.

"What do you mean 'another world'?" Alice asked.

"ENOUGH!" Yelled a card guard. "THE DEFENDANT WILL BE SILENT!"

I was ready to punch the guard out cold so he will shut up but Sora held me back. "Calm down please," He begged. "I don't want you losing your head because you got mad."

"You're right," I sighed, leaning back.

We entered a hole in the garden and we saw a colorful forest. Then I saw a cat head floating around. I screamed once again, "What the--"

The cat head landed on a trunk, where a cat body was standing up on top of it. It put its head right back on its body. "Who are you?" Asked Donald.

"Who, indeed," he said. "Poor Alice, so to lose her head, and she's not guilty of a thing!"

I sighed. First, talking inanimate objects, now talking animals? What's next, flowers turning into humans? "If you know who the culprit is, tell us!" I asked.

"The Cheshire Cat has answers-but doesn't always tell," He smirked. "The answer is, the culprit lie in darkness."

He disappeared as Sora yelled, "Wait!"

"They've already left the forest. I won't tell which exit," He continued as he was invisible. "There are four pieces of evidence. Three are a cinch to find. The fourth is tricky. Big reward if you find them all."

"Should we trust him?" Asked Donald.

"To trust or not trust?" Laughed the Cheshire Cat as he reappeared. "I trust you'll decide!"

We found footprints and an antenna in the forest and stench and claw marks in the room where we drank the potions to make us small. The Cheshire Cat appeared again. "Well, look what you've found. Nice going," He complemented.

"Now we can save Alice," Sora said.

"Not so fast! She may be innocent, but what about you?" He asked.

"What do you mean?" Sora asked.

"I won't tell," He said as he disappeared once more. After we cleared the Heartless in the room, we returned to the court where Sora was put on trial to defend for Alice.

"Now, show me what you found," the queen said. As Sora presented the evidence, the queen frowned, "Hm, that's certainly a lot of evidence, but I'm still not impressed. Guards! Present my evidence." As the guards placed a fifth box, the queen said, "Hm, checking all five boxes would only be a waste of time. All right then, choose one you wish to present. I'll decide who's guilty based on the evidence."

"What? After all the trouble of collecting it?" Groaned Sora. I shot him a unless you want to get executed, don't say anything look.

"YOU DARE OBJECT?" She boomed. "THEN YOU WILL LOSE YOUR HEAD! CHOSE ONE OF THE BOXES!"

Sora got up and chose the box on the far left and a Solider Heartless popped out. "What was that?" Cried the queen.

"There's your evidence," Sora declared. "Alice is innocent."

"Rgh..." She growled. "SILENCE, I'M IN LAW HERE!!! ARTICLE 29: ANYONE WHO DEFIES THE QUEEN IS GUILTY!"

"That's it!" I fumed as I tried climbed out of the spot where I was kept with Goofy and Donald. Goofy held me back.

"Please, Sakura!" Goofy begged. "Don't get Sora in deeper trouble than he already is in!"

"That's crazy!" Cried Donald.

"Donald, don't support her," Goofy groaned.

"SEIZE THEM ALL AT ONCE!!" Screamed the queen.

The stairs and hedge disappeared as a small tower with a wheel sticking out in the middle appeared. One of the guards ran over and spun the wheel, which made the cage go high up so we couldn't release Alice. We attacked the guards to stun them so we could attack the tower. After a while, the tower went the and the cage came down the queen leaned over to see what will happen next. Sora and I ran to the cage, only to see that there was no one inside. "She must of gotten kidnapped while we were fighting," Donald guessed.

"YOU FOOLS!!!" The queen screamed, her face flushed. Her bun became slightly undone, as her dark hair began sticking out all over the place underneath that crown of hers. "FIND THE ONE WHO'S BEHIND THIS! I DON'T CARE HOW!!!"

The guards saluted and ran off. While they were gone, Sora, Donald, Goofy and I ran back to the colorful forest again. When we entered it, a red flower bloomed and spat out a rock where the Cheshire Cat appeared. "Have you seen Alice?" Sora asked.

"Alice, no. Shadows, yes!" He replied.

"Where did they go?" Asked Goofy.

"This way? That way? Does it matter?" He laughed. "Left, right, up down! All mixed up thanks to those shadows. Step deeper into the forest to the deserted garden. You might find the shadows in a upside down room!"

As we explored and battled through of the forest, we discovered that the "upside down" room was really the room where we got the potions but we were on a wall. Afterwards, we entered a tea party but with no guests. If you sat down on a chair in a certain order, you will receive prizes. After that, we entered the house by the tea party only to see the Cheshire Cat again. "They're hiding somewhere," He warned. "And the monsters outside. Want to find the shadows? Try turning on the light."

Sora light up one of the lamps in the table and it reappeared again. "It's too dim, make it brighter," He encouraged.

"What next?" Asked Donald.

"One more lamp you need to light," Replied the Cheshire Cat as he disappeared.

Sora lit up the second lamp and the Cheshire Cat appeared, "All the lights are on. You'll see the shadows soon. They'll arise in this room, but somewhere else. The shadows might go after that doorknob, too."

It disappeared and Heartless started to appear. As we battled through them, Donald asked, "What does it mean by the doorknob?"

"Hm," Sora and Goofy pondered.

I thought for a second. Then, I remembered that talking doorknob that suggested us to drink the shrinking potion. I exclaimed, "The one that we first met!"

"Huh?" They said.

"You know; the one that we woke up and suggested us to drink the shrinking potion," I hinted.

"Ah, that one," Sora said. "Great job, Saki!"

I grinned at being congratulated. We left the house and battled our way basic to that room. When we entered it, we saw the Cheshire Cat sitting in the table. "Try coming up here for a better view," He hinted.

As we got onto the table, he got up and started dancing. "Are you ready for the shadows?" He asked. "Are you prepared for the worst? If not, too bad!"

All the sudden, this huge Heartless with long limbs, a long and skinny head and a small body appeared. Sora and I gaped at it. Was this the one that the Cheshire Cat was leading us too? I didn't have time to think, because it started to attack us by flailing its arms around. Sora jumped off the table, swiped its chest with his Keyblade and landed on the ground. It flinched and began flailing around some more. I guess the chest was the weak spot. I ran up to it and quickly started firing magic at it. After a couple minutes of firing, I was running out of MP and I was out of Ethers, so I had to attack it with my Keyblade. Sora swiped at it one last time and it sank to the ground. A pink crystallized heart flew out of it and it disappeared. Someone yawned and we turned to see the doorknob waking up. "You all made such a racket. How is a doorknob able to sleep?" As it yawned again, we saw a Keyhole in its mouth. Curious, Sora and I peered in to see more.

All the sudden, yellow stars swirled around the top of Sora's Keyblade while blue stars swirled with mine. It magnetically pointed to the Keyhole and two bright beams of light shot out from its tip and to the doorknob's mouth where the Keyhole was. Then, I entered a trance. I saw something strange. I saw a large weaving with a black thread woven into it. My Keyblade pointed itself in front of the weaving and the black thread began weaving itself out of the weaving and threads of various colors began weaving where the black thread was. When I exited the trance, a sound as if someone was locking the door was heard as the doorknob closed its mouth.

"What was that?" I said, questioning what I saw while I was in a trance.

"Did you hear? Sounded like something closed," Sora answered.

Then, a Gummi Ship piece landed in the floor. Goofy examined it. "This Gummi ain't like the others," He declared.

"Okay, I'll hold on to it," Donald said.

"Splendid. You're quite the hero," A voice said. We turned to see the Cheshire Cat again. "If you're looking for Alice, she's not here. She's gone! Off with the shadows, into darkness."

As it disappeared, Sora mumbled. "No..."

"Sora, I'm sorry..." I said, trying to comfort him.

"Let's go back to our Gummi Ship," Donald suggested. "We might find her in another world."

"Yeah, let's go," Goofy said.

We turned and left to go where our Gummi Ship was.

Before you guys go berserk on me and ask me where I was for the past December, I was on vacation that had terrible Wi-Fi so I couldn't write anything. Then, the internet went down at our house for a day, so I couldn't write anything either. Also, I was trying to make this chapter longer, so another reason why I was gone for a long time.
