Chapter 27

Third Person POV . . .

Everything was too sudden for Gazel, and he was astonished to see Jane sealing a deal with Ray Dark. The sight of the alias rock dangling from Jane's new necklace was enough to send a shiver down his spine. Gazel noticed he was holding his breath the whole time, and took a deep breath, trying to calm down his shaking nerves.
Not wasting another second, he tip-toed out of the black alley, and dashed back to the appartment. It was not that he was running away, but he could not handle this situation without informing the coach.

It did not take him long until he dashed into the appartment, sweating from head to toe, and gasping for air. All of his teammates stared at him with stupified expressions as he breathed heavily, including Torch.
Gazel was about to fall on the ground head-first from fatigue, but Leo quickly ran towards him, and supported his dear friend.
"Take it easy, you have to rest a little," Leo said, with a concerned face, as he helped his friend maintain his balance. Coach Lee walked into the the room, and was stunned as much as the others to see Gazel struggling to stand up.
"She left us, it's all my fault!" the silver-haired boy gasped, gripping the collar of his shirt, and wincing in pain.
Belletrix was getting tired of his nonsense talk. She walked over to him, and slapped him across his cheek. Gazel flinched slightly, and a shadow covered his eyes.
"Snap out of it! And talk properly!" she shouted, before slapping him again, but adding much more force into her hit. A long silence filled the air, and everyone waited patiently for Gazel to talk.
"Jane, she is now Ray Dark's puppet," he muttered, feeling as if all the warmth he gained the past few months completely disappear, and get replaced with the same cold, isolated habit he had when he was in Alias Academy.
Torch gritted his teeth angrily, and dashed to the dark alley. As much as he hated Gazel for his cold, emo habits, he still wished they could go back to the old days when they used to play soccer in "Sun Garden", and Jane was the only person who was able to remind him of those times, but he was always afraid it would make him lose his pride, but now that arrogance had to wait a little.

Torch dashed through the streets, ignoring the complaints of people he pushed out of his way.
He finally reached the alley, but unfortunately, Zues was blocking his path, along with a familiar figure hiding behind his back.
"You no longer have any business with us, so I suggest you leave," Zues said, pulling the trigger of Torch's temper, causing the red-head to dash towards him, with his fist raised in the air, and a bright flame of anger flickering in his eyes.
Surprisingly, Zues caught his fist as if it was a piece of cake, before kicking him in the stomach. Agony shot through Torch's body, blood trivkled down his lips, and he struggled to stand up again.
The mysterious figure finally stepped away from Zues, and stepped in front of him in a defensive stance.
"We never agreed to hurt them, so keep up with the deal!" Torch was stunned by the familiar voice. Sadly, his heart dropped when he noticed the glowing alias rock dangling from Jane's necklace. Zues sighed at the teen girl's action, and clicked his tougue.
"Then what do you suggest? That baka is not going to leave without a fight, even though he knows what will happen to his dream," he said, pointing to Torch, who was standing behind her with his left arm wrapped around his stomach.
"He's right, it's not like he will let me take you back," Torch mumbled, walking past her, and glaring angrily at Zues.

Torch was grateful that he left his kimono at his room after Gazel offended him. If he was still wearing it, it would have been impossible to win this fight. He got into his fighting stance again, and gritted his teeth angrily.
He was not willing to admit surrender so quickly. In fact, he was never going to. Zues narrowed his blue eyes at the red-headed boy, and got into his battle stance.

'This will be one hell of a fight', he thought to himself, and smirked devilishly.
"Bring it!" Torch orderd, ignoring Jane's worried face. Zues did not wait a second, and dashed to the boy with his fist in the air, with the aura of hatred surrounding him.
"You will perish!" he announced, a wild smile on his lips, but before he could even lay a punch on Torch, Jane grabbed his wrist, and twisted his arm behind his back.
Zues winced slightly, and glared at the teen girl.
"If you want to solve your problems, then how about a game?", Jane asked, releasing Zues from her grip, before turning to Torch, who nodded without saying a single word.
"Fine! But either way, he will get hurt," Zues agreed, massaging his shoulder, and smirking happily. He walked to a random test can, and pulled a soccer ball from behind it.
"Lead the way to the field," he ordered, handing Torch the dirty ball, and clicking his tongue. Torch obeyed, but he was struggling to hold his temper from blowing up.
Jane did not mutter a word the whole way, and kept staring at her once clean kimono. It had a few stains of black, and her sleeves were slightly ripped on the edges.
Once they passed by the appartment that acted as the "Fire Dragon's" base, she heard a group of familiar voices calling her name, but the words entered one ear, and went out the other.
"Listen to me baka!", the voice caused her to freeze in her tracks, and for a moment, she forgot to breath. She turned to the source of the voice, and was surprised to see Gazel standing in front of her, with a terrible glare om his face.
"You're a total idiot! Don't you remember the price you paid for joining that freak?!" he shouted, causing the aura around him to become undeniably tense, but Jane's plain expression did not change the slightest.
"I remember, and that's why I went back. I am just a burden to everyone. The only thing I can gain now is immortal power, is there anything better?" Gazel's glare became much more fierce, and he was gritting his teeth angrily at her cold reply, but suddenly, all that anger vanished, and a dark shadow covered his eyes.
"I pity you. You keep thinking if you run away, all your problems would disappear, but you actually make the situation much worse." He spat out flatly, causing Jane to bite her lower lip in regret.
"Like you know anything!" Jane yelled, allowing her fury to burst out of her control.
Gazel was not affected by her words, and was prepared to yell back, but Leo placed his had on the silver-haired boy's shoulder in reassurance.
"Calm down, shouting is nothing but a waste of time", the blonde advised, with his eyes closed, and a calm atmosphere surrounding him. Gazel let his muscles ease, and took a a deep breath.
"It all depends how the game ends", Torch mumbled under his breath, and sensed Zues smirking at him from behind.
