Chapter 15

Third Person POV . . .

A week has passed since the victorious game against 'The Barracudas', yet everyone on the Korean team were still working hard from day to night. Coach Lee was always glad when he would watch the young teens practice, it always reminded him of his old youth when he used to play soccer in the greenish  backyard of his family's villa.
Everyday, groups of children would gather at the gate of the dirt field, just to watch the team play with the light of wildness, passion, and love to soccer. Even with all the attention, the players would have always been focused on the ball, and their moves, it was like no one was around. The coach had no idea what was fixed in the players' minds, but for sure, he certainly knew that each one were getting along very well. Torch, Byron, and Leo were working out perfectly, Gazel and Jane seemed to have pushed their arguments aside, and have been improving greatly, but the coach always had a hunch that Torch had something on his mind for a while. The red-head began to jump into vicious fights with Gazel, and other members except Byron, Leo, and Jane. The poor, innocent girl seemed to know what was happening around her, and still she would mutter her biggest smile to reassure her teammates.

Loud footsteps were heard through the empty hallways of the 'Fire Dargon's building. Torch bragged into Gazel's room, without bothering to knock at the door.
" What with you these days? Your temper is worse every day, no every second!", Gazel hissed at the red-head, while sitting on his bed with his eyes staring at the soccer ball in his hands.
" SHUT YOUR GOD DAMN MOUTH!", Torch threatened, stomping towards the silver-haired male, with the aura of hatered surrounding him. Gazel calmly closed his book, before plainly stared at the low tempted boy, and said," A piece of advice, don't let jealousy get to you, it will cost you alot. It even nearly caught me off guard".
The red-head's glare deepened, and he grabbed his teammate by the collar.
" Don't play dump with me! Your nothing but a selfish baka! Always acting like you own the area! You make me puke!", Torch shouted, but Gazel was not affected by his words, and kept his calm face.
" I warn you, don't cross the line. Nothing will come from it. It will just end up worrying her even more. ", the red-head's grip loosened a bit at his teammates last sentence, he was shocked a little, but regained his vicious habit, and shoved Gazel to the ground, forgetting what the consequences will be if he ends up harming his teammate physically. H
" This is no joke Claude, Jane is hiding the fact that she is really worried for you, she fears you will be kicked off the team if your keep up with your behaviour", Torch hesitated to move for a second, before pouncing at the silver-haired boy, and punching him mercilessly.

Torch's POV . . .

' Your a twisted, cold hearted freak! You have no right to talk about Jane! Not long, you were a selfish brat, who never gave a dame for other girls' feelings, you would always turn them down with a mocking tone as if they were your puppets, and nothing more! So why accept her?! Is he trying to toy with me as a piece of chess?! True I nearly thought he might be different when Alias Academy was eliminated, but I never turned around to see the selfish creature he still is! Not fair! Out of all girl's, he had to take Jane! It hurts more than the Alias rock caused me!', I reminded myself, as I stroked another punch on Gazel's half bruised face.
" What's with you?! Why aren't you fighting back?!", I shouted, tugging his shirt, and shaking him madly. I was expecting him to stay silent, but it was the opposite of stated I thought.
" Because, your still my friend. Before we met Jane, we would always hang out in the orphanage together, and play soccer every afternoon until the sun would be set." , Gazel's voice was no longer calm , but happy. I was stunned by his words, and did not move a muscle. My mind wanted to burst again, and tell him he was lying, but I couldn't bring himself to say anything.
" Idiot . . .", I mumbled with tears streaming down his cheeks like waterfalls.
" I am sorry!", I added, embracing my old friend, and cried silently. Gazel looked at me from the corner of his eyes with a smile of relief to have me on his side again, after such a long time of rivalness.

Jane's POV . . .

I sat on the cold, marble floor in my bedroom, while clicking my pen irritatedly. Sheets of paper, sharpeners, pens, and small envelopes were scattered across the floor, causing huge mess. Recently, I was trying to Think of a way to explain things to Xavier about his confession, but nothing would pop into my mind.
" This sucks!", I complained, punching my head repeatedly, before looking back at a blank sheet of paper in front of me.
" Should I call David, and ask him for Xavier's number? No that will make things more awkward than they already are!", I argued with myself, before lying on the floor, and staring at the ceiling, while lost in my thoughts.
*Beep* Beep*
I quickly sat up, and pulled my phone out of my pocket with a curious face.
" Whose calling?", I asked, with my phone pressed against my ear.
" Ah Jane! I am glad you picked up!",  I was stunned to hear Xavier's voice, that I nearly dropped my phone.
" How did you get my phone number?", I asked, irritatedly while crossing my legs, and shoving a piece of candy into my mouth.
" Yeah, I got it from David", his bright voice echoed from the phone, and I was able to feel guilt covering my mind.
" So what's your ans-", before he was able to finish his sentence, the bedroom's door flew open, and Byron ran into the room with a worried face.
" Jane! You have to come quickly!", he yelled, before running out of the room quickly.
" Xavier, I gotta go! Talk to you later", I closed the phone call before he could reply, and ran after Byron.
" What with you?! Calling me so suddenly?!", I asked, once I caught up to him. The blonde looked at me with worry, and pulled me into the infermerey. Everyone was over there, but I was shocked once I saw Gazel lying on the bed, with brusies covering half of his face. Belletrix was sitting on the edge of the bed, while healing his bruises.
" Are you okay?!", I asked him, while taking a seat next to Belletrix.
" Do I look like I am?", he replied, with a little chuckle escaping his lips.
" Do me a favour, and try calming Claude a little from his guilt", he added, but I was able to sense somrething different about him. I did not question him, and took my leave.
" I wonder what's up with him? He is becoming a bit soft. "

=========================
Because Torch spoiled the last chapter, I had to add several changes!
It turned out quite well! 👌
