So I've been checking on the SAO Wiki and saw this.

I never know who is this girl is but it supposed to be Asuna but it's unknown if it's her or not. The title said There is But One Ultimate Way is a self-published (doujin) bonus short story written by Kunori Fumio (Kawahara Reki). It was originally written in May 2010 and later re-released as part of the Sword Art Online Material Edition: The Assemblage, under the title of Sword Art Online Gaiden X2: There is But One Ultimate Way. The story is set in the aftermath of the Alicization Arc in a non-canon timeline.

And get this Kirito wakes up on a bedroom in Underworld and he marries Asuna, Alice, Lizbeth, Suguha, Silica and Sinon. The girls then revealed that they all are in the Soul Translator running at 10,000 times faster, and still have 5 years, 8 months to go. In this non canon timeline he became a harem mc.

Trivia: The name Gaiden X2 is probably related to the fact that when a story called 16.5 once appeared on the inner-part of WordGear, the name for the text file was said to be wg_SAO_X1.htm according to some indirect source.

The original released date was in May of 2010 but was released in August 2011 for the Material Edition: The Assemblage.

This whole thing was confusing and it was like a joke nothing to serious since it's in a not canon timeline.

This is the very first cover of SAO back in November 18, 2007 this was before when SAO was written before it became a light novel. The art style is not really my thing doesn't look that great by today standards. But I can't be to hard on Reki he was going his first time drawing this version of SAO, but thank god that his art style evolved what we're now used to but I'm not sure about his pacing in the material version. This gotten me confused when it was in 2007 but I got confused with the date because of the anime release date.

Trivia

Due to the story being written before Sword Art Online became a light novel series, the introduction states that fifty thousand players were trapped in Sword Art Online, as opposed to the ten thousand players in the light novel version.

This Material Edition is in manga format and the artwork is drawn by Reki, instead of his light novel illustrator abec.

The story had been mentioned briefly in the novel and manga. Additionally, the beginning of Episode 5 depicted the part of the story about the boss meeting, though it omitted Kirito and Asuna's duel.

In the web version, the duel in this material edition lasted for 20 minutes, and was the occasion that made Asuna love Kirito.
