Patton was with his recently engaged fiance and they had just moved into a small two bedroom house in a pretty nice neighbourhood about a month ago, the house was a light yellow with built-in flower boxes on the outsides of the windows which Patton was excited about since he loved gardening. The engaged couple had recently finished decorating the house and they had decided to go out to the fireworks show the town was having.

Patton giggled as his tail flickered happily as his cat ears where perked up, waiting for Logan to come out to the front door. "Come on honey!" He said happily, wearing a dress with black leggings, and a warm jacket. "We don't want to be late for the fireworks!"

Logan put on his coat and met Patton at the front door, smiling as he held his hand out for Patton. He couldn't be happier to have been engaged to Patton, Patton being the light of his life ever since Logan met him. The two walked down the street happily, Logan having an arm around his fiance as they made their way to the town park. Patton was a giggling mess and smiling brightly, a spring in his step as the two of them walked.

"I'm so excited! I love fireworks!" He nodded and smiled brightly at Logan, then placing a kiss on his cheek. He snuggled up and sighed before stopping, hearing some crying, he then looked around before looking at Logan. "Did you hear that?" His ears were twitching as he kept looking around, his tail now flickering slowly. Logan looked around a bit, also hearing the crying.

"Sounds like a...kid..." Logan said, trying to see where the crying was coming from, wanting to help whoever was crying. Patton then pulled away and started towards an alleyway slowly then calling out to Logan.

"Lo, over here." He became much slower and quieter as he approached a small boy who had cracked glasses and tattered clothing. He also seemed to be a neko like Patton, his ears and tail being white with black spots instead of light brown like Patton's own ears and tail. Logan's eyes widened a little as he tried to lift the little neko's head up a little, Logan's face falling as he saw how cold and upset the small neko looked.

"Where do you suppose his parents are?" Logan asked, looking up at Patton. Patton shrugged unsurely and then was surprised by what words came out of the small neko's mouth.

"Dadda? Momma?" The small neko then hugged Logan and said happily. "Momma!" Patton then frowned and whispered softly.

"Uh, we're not your parents..." The little neko then pulled away and started to cry, Patton then bitting his lip. "We can take you in... If you like....?" The neko then slowly stopped and whispered.

"Take in...Take in Ewile?" He asked softly, Patton then looking at Logan with a face that said 'We can't just leave him here.' Logan looked at Patton before looking down at the little neko, smiling softly and brushing the little neko's hair away from his eyes. He nodded and smiled at the neko softly.

"Of course." Patton then smiled and picked up the neko before asking quietly. "Didn't you say your name was...Emile....?" The neko nodded and Patton then looked at Logan before saying.

"He's freezing, we should either bring him home or get him some new clothing and maybe see if we can do anything about his glasses." He nodded as Emile then snuggled up to Patton.

"We should probably take him home..." Logan nodded as he looked down at Emile, smiling a little before he took the cracked glasses off of Emile and looked at them. "I could probably see if I can find a pair that matches his eyesight...if not, then we could go to an optometrist." He said with a nod.  Patton nodded and then took his jacket off, wrapping it around the little neko.

"We should take him to get new clothing tomorrow then." He nodded and then took Logan's hand starting to walk back, Emile then whispering in a soft and tired voice.

"Thank you, momma and dadda..." Patton's heart melted and he looked over at Logan with a smile. Logan looked at Patton and smiled back, still knowing that they would most likely have to try and find Emile's real parents if he had any.
