I pulled my phone out and dialed Adams number. He picked up right away and said, "Ms.Cat are you alright" My tone was sure as I said, "I'm fine send some of your men to pick up Scorpion and take him back to his enclosure. Also send a stretcher to pick up one of your men, I'm sorry he didn't make it." There was silence on the other end for a few moments and the Adam began to speak in a heartbroken tone and said, "It's not your fault Cat, we signed up for this kind of thing. Now you have to hurry up and take care of the other two before anyone else dies. My suggestion is to deal with rhino first he is a more immediate threat than vulture."My tone was hopeful as I said, "Thanks Adam it won't be too much longer before I'm done" A loud voice sounded on the other end and said, "Sir we have lost the Arachnid how do you want us to proceed" A sigh erupted from Adam and he said, "Cat, tell me how twenty trained men lose a giant spider." There was light heartedness to my tone, "I don't know but I will check back later, be careful" He chuckled and said,"Sweetheart careful is my middle name" A laugh escaped me as I said, "Really your file says your name is Marcus" I then clicked my phone off, chock up another win for me.

My next destination was the power grid, Harry's design had not been implemented yet so we were still running on the old power system. It had round towers that carried electrical currents through the building. The main entrance way was blocked by a steel emergency door it must have drooped when the power was cut to this areas. I wish Harry was here as Blue Goblin he posses the necessary physical strength to tear down the door, I had no such luxury.

My eyes scanned the wall and landed on an air vent just what I needed another entrance into room beyond the metal door. A grappling line shot out of my wristlet and latched onto the vent I may not have been a match for Harry when it came to strength but I wasn't weak either, my last lifting experiment showed that as Black Cat I can lift five tons. I jerked the vent off the wall and dug my claws into the steel wall thank goodness my gloves are fingerless. I slipped into the vent and wiggled my through the ducts until I came across the exit grate and pushed it out with my foot but I grabbed it before it hit the ground no need to alert my prey. I slipped out and landed on a pipe and scanned the area and saw my target crushing a mutant piranha hybrid. It was about eleven foot and was bipedal just like Scorpion, lovely. I wasn't dumb enough to think that this could go off without a hitch so I pulled my phone and dialed Harry's number.

It rang a few times and then finally someone answered but to my surprise it was Adam and he said, "Ms. Cat we found the giant spider it just crashed through the ceiling of the board room and the members are freaking out. With the exception of Mr.Osborn he seems to be very relaxed anyway it turns out that the spider is friendly and doesn't want to hurt anyone. You probably want to talk to Mr.Osborn though don't worry I will put him on as soon as he comes back in from calming the board of trustees I mean chickens. A laugh escaped me as I said, "Don't worry I'll wait"

It was about three minutes before Harry's strong tone rang out over the line and he said, "What's happening Black Cat." Crap he used my codename that means the board is still in session. My tone was desperate as I said, "Harry this time I really need back up this thing is too strong for me to handle your the powerhouse in our little group. 'He then said, "Alright board meeting is canceled we can pick this back up tomorrow if you gentle men wish" There were indignant responses from the board and that did not help my situation at all. Harry came back on the line and said, "Sorry Cat that thing you wanted to talk about will have to wait until after the meeting." He then began to whisper and said, "Just hold on I will be there as soon as I can. Take care Cat" My tone was a whisper yell as I replied back, "Harold Theopolis Osborn don't you dare hang up on me, what happened to being partners?" With that said the line went dead and I was on my own once again. After all this is over I'm never talking to him again leave me with a rampaging rhino will you I think not. My musings were interrupted by a loud grunt, the hunter had become the hunted.

My senses began to tingle and a pair of beady black eyes were trained on me and thunderous footfalls mark the first charge, it was as if my heart stopped and my life flashed before my eyes. I had to make a split second decision stay on the pipe and brace for impact or jump off and start forming a strategy. My choice was clear I leapt from the pipe and did a roll to land on my feet and it appears my instincts were correct for the minute it crashed into the pipe it destroyed it. There were only a few moments to catch my breath and observe my surroundings the room was circular almost like an arena. There were service pipes painted a bright red and the round current conductors were sparking with life but also heavily damaged. Then an idea popped in my head why not use them against the beast, it would require precise timing and if there was one slip up I would die. The beast turned around and snorted, there was no way the tranquilizer was going pierce his hide or put him to sleep, so it was time to electrify the situation." I cartwheeled over in front of one of the towers and whistled the gargantuan grey beast turned and growled and began to charge once again, my heart was pounding and sweat was dripping off my face, this was a do or die moment. It was about a foot in front of me when I leapt and did a backflip over it. When I looked behind me I saw that it was currently being electrocuted,it fell over unconscious well that was round two finished, the last hybrid was the most dangerous of all though it was an aerial combatant not exactly my speciality but at this point I was still to angry with Harry for blowing me off.

My phone began to ring boy this was annoying I would have to ask Max to build me an easier form of communication, there was time to do that later though. I hit the button on my phone and said, "Hello Harry thanks for all the help by the way it was fun getting charged by a rampaging rhino." He gave a nervousness laugh and said, "Licia I tried to get out of the meeting every way possible but they were persistent" My tone was sharp as I said, "Your still going to pay for it later, I'm going to make you cook for a week". He laughed and said, "There is the wrathful Licia I know, now just sit tight, I'm on my way" My tone was sure and had a tint of anger as I said, "Don't worry about it, I only have one more to take down, you just relax" He had a more serious tone when he said,"Licia I'm serious your no match for an aerial opponent." I hung up after he said that I wasn't exactly in the mood for debate besides it would serve him right.

I exited the building and dashed across the street too the clock tower it was time to stop this once and for all. The door creaked open and I scanned the area the police hasn't finished cleaning up from the Gwen ordeal my recollection of the nights events was interrupted by a loud shrill cry and as I turned my gaze upward a surprising sight caught my eye. There was a nest built out of human bones and flesh and a human bird hybrid with bright green feathers was circling. I immediately began to jump from one beam to the next, if there was any chance of winning I had to get on the same level as this thing. I finally made it to the top of the structure. The giant carnivorous bird made a pass and kicked me in the side before I had a chance to get my bearings.
I fell on the beam below and thought, there has got to be a way to finish this fine feathered fiendish freak. My eye fell on a couple of crossed beams that looked like prime relastate for a cage trap. I used my grapaling lines to start weaving a cage out of steel cables and waited for the vulture to circle back around. It soon started to fly straight toward it and this one looked to be in the bag but at the last minute it dove out of sight and for some reason my senses were failing.

Finally a sharp blow hit me in the back and sent me over the edge of the beam, fortunately there was a little bit of grappaling line in my wristlet so I activated it and caught myself on one of the gears and just as I was about to pull myself up the vulture circled back around and then my eyes saw a shining glint on his wings, they were steel tipped just wonderful, it cut my line and all of a sudden I was feeling what Gwen must have felt. It was as if time had slowed down and my heart had speed up, I closed my eyes and thought this is no ones fault but my own. Harry will hold himself responsible no matter what and my last thought was what a fool you should have waited for Harry and listended to him. The concrete was only a few inches away and then...
