Somethings Off

Fast forwarding time, it was now settling into the evening.

Both Diabolus twins were quietly chatting amongst themselves at their desk, to be more specific, when you first enter the guild and then you see a desk straight ahead. Yeah, that desk. There was a rather pleasant feeling to the air around them too...

Mario walks in downstairs after separating from Boat just outside. He seemed to be very worried. But He wasn't able to tell the Guildmasters for Boat was up stairs now.

Boat walked in seeing Ritchie was back. His natural attitude was back, but if you'd pay really close attention, he seemed slightly off.

"Ah, Mario," Ritchie politely greeted the Cavern Dragon Slaver when he walked in, but, then he backtracked. What- Mario? And worry? That's-

"Boat, I see you've come back," Brandon greeted the newest guild member as he looked away from his brother. He didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Yet, at least.

Boat smiles and nods. "Yeah I was starting to think now would be the best time." Walking over to the Guildmasters ignoring Mario.

Mario waves weakly, but says nothing. He didn't want to anger Boat, it wasn't in his best interest right at this moment. But his worry seemed to show still. Something was bugging him, and Boat was his gag.

Brandon gave a mutual head nod back, "I guess it would be a good idea to-"

Ritchie wasn't focusing on their conversation. He was still staring Mario down, his eyebrows furrowing with confusion. The weak wave, the worry shown. Something was wrong. "...Mario?" Ritchie mentions his name, rather softly. "Are you okay? You look, worried."

Mario stays silent and looks down. 'Oh God. Not now, not with Boat still here.' He looks up now with I calm and composed expression. "I'm  fine I was just lost in my thoughts that's all." But his voice seemed to slightly change.

Boat turns around and tilts his head. "Oh Hey Mario." He acts as if this is the first Time they meet today. Looking down at the dragon slayer. His eyes showing annoyance.

Brandon suddenly felt the air shift, a cold windy breeze whisping into the room. His eyes kind of narrowed, and now he could feel something was off.

"Alright... If you say so." Ritchie replied with a small frown, still feeling like something was off.

Brandon watched the interaction between the two guild members, seeming to analyze there every move.

Mario looks at Boat as if he was unable to let anymore be spoken. He turns and heads to the Bar looking slightly like a scared pup. "Hi." His voice was curt.

Boat returns his natural look and roles his eyes. Turning back to the Guildmasters his movement was normal,  but seemed almost too natural. "Anyways I came to report back about the mission from earlier. The message that was left to both of you." Trying to grab both their attention.

Brandon and Ritchie shared a quick glance before slowly turning back to Boat, they seemed to have had a brief yet silent twin talk moment. "Oh?" Ritchie chimes, raising an eyebrow up.

"Yes, I have told Ritchie what you had told me Boat." Brandon informed, an unreadable expression on his face. "I'm curious to see what you'lll have to say," Ritchie politely smiled, resting his elbows on the desk.

Boat nods, "All I have to say that his confused me a lot. I still don't understand it but the message was,
'Two may rule,
One will see,
Other will hear,
Fellow child will return below the midnight hour,
From new beginning,
To painful end.' " He shifts back a fourth feeling slightly more uncomfortable now. He remembers the fight and the stupid things they throwed at him. Like that black liquid.

Mario begins to drink, and tried to ignore his fear. He was scared of Boat, the male Normally wouldn't get this way.

"A... A riddle?" Ritchie guessed as he ever so slightly tilted his head, not quite understanding. This message seemed to make both guild members uncomfortable, odd.

Brandon may not have shown it, but he didn't get it either. "How peculiar." He commented as he stole a glance towards Mario. The air still didn't feel right here, and he wasn't exactly sure why. It was as if there was some hidden tension between... oh.

Boat nods. "That was all.... so umm can I go now." He felt the need to get out quickly. But why he didn't know. He just felt uncomfortable with what he said.

Mario begins to get lost in his thoughts. His minds going back to just a few minutes before they entered the building.  Boat's cold words and death threats.

Ritchie smiled, "Why ye-" "Actually, brother." Brandon cut off, making Ritchie turn to his brother with furrowed eyebrows. The two had a short stare down, silently communicating, before Ritchie's eyes widened a bit. With a head nod of confirmation, they both turned their heads back.

Brandon suddenly leaned on the desk, his elbows resting beneath him and his head resting on his knuckles. "I feel like we need to address the certain, tension in the room." He brought up.

Mario chokes on his drink and looks down. He kept his mouth shut and tried not to let his emotions show but fear radiates off him badly.

Boat gives a confused look and blinks. "Tension between who?" His eyes show a very small amount of annoyance within. He didn't like being held back. And he was starting to feel a red hot anger towards the idoit behind him.

On cue, in-sync, with perfect timing. Both Diabolus twins hardened their eyes, a dangerous glint twirling around inside them. They didn't like the feeling of fear that was practically emitting from Mario's being.

"You know exactly what we're talking about." Ritchie told, his voice lacking the empathy he usual has.

Suddenly, the sky began to fill with clouds, light and dark grey clouds, as the conversation continued.

Boat looks over at Mario who was refusing to look their way. Boat sighs letting embarrassment radiate off him. "He just doesn't like my crush"

Mario hears this and latches onto the escape route that Boat made. His fear dieing down a lot now. "I just think your being stupid..."

The Diabolus blinked, in unison.

The clouds in the sky immediately stilled, as if they too didn't understand what was just said.

"...What?" Ritchie commented, that dangerous glint replaced with pure confusion. Brandon merely stitched his eyebrows together, the only sign he didn't quite understand what was going on, as he glanced between Boat and Mario.

Boat blushed badly and looks away. "I don't wanna talk about it....." he let his feelings show, meaning it was someone in this room

Mario stands and let's out a laugh. "Whatever you say. But It's impossible." He looks at Boat. They seem to have relieved aura around them.

Oh- was this all about some stupid crush?

Brandon remained quiet, the clouds also seeming to slowly go away. But there were still a few lingering around.

Ritchie meanwhile shook his head, resting his back against his chair. "This was about some crush?" He huffed, seeming to just not feel satisfied with this answer.

Boat sighs. "He ships someone else with someone and I am not likely to become in that relationship. " he looks down looking hurt.

Mario rolls his eyes. "Look I am saying is he wouldn't like you like that ok, plus you know who would probably kill you." Making Boat laugh.

Ritchie was still dumbfounded, while Brandon watched the scene rather curiously. Shipping? "You made us get riled up, because of a silly crush." Ritchie mumbled under his breath, shaking his head like he didn't believe it.

Until- "That's it, up we go." Ritchie commanded firmly, suddenly standing up out of his chair. "You two, training grounds, now. We're playing extreme dodge the lightning bolt."

Boat aura becomes dark and cold. But he looks at Ritchie with calm look. Thinking about how this would even count as something desirable for him right at this moment. He was still hurt from his mission.

Mario let's out a nervous laugh upon feeling the cold aura and looks down. The fear back.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Brandon asked his brother, trying to see if his decision was changeable at least.

Ritchie clapped his hands, rubbing them together to get them warmed up. "Nope!" He replied, popping the 'p' to stand out. With a quick glance between them, Brandon understood, and nodded along. His brother must have a plan.

"Then I guess I'll have to watch this," he stated, also standing up out of his chair. He had an idea of sorts. "Alright, let's go then, c'mon," Ritchie shoo'ed.

Boat looks away and heads out, clearly not wanting to do so. He was thinking of a way to make sure he didn't get hit by one.

Mario didn't move, he didn't want to be near Boat in any way, shape, or form. "I don't want to...." he tried to get out of it.

Ritchie followed after Boat, but before he left he threw a comment Mario's way. "Look, you don't have a choice okay. Let's go!"

Brandon quietly sighed under his breath, beginning to walk to his way over to Mario. He didn't normally do this, but Mario's fear just hit some sort of soft spot. "I'll try to make sure he goes, somewhat easy on you." Brandon glanced towards the open door, making sure no one would peek in as he went oh so quietly: "And you won't have to be too close to, him."

Mario tears up and begins to shake. "No.... he isn't normal... he smells off. And he..." the boy seemed to cave in on himself and breakdown. Boat did something to make him terrified.

Boat gets to the training ground and waits for the others.

Oh, yikes, that's- not good. Brandon's eyes widen a fraction, watching the cavern dragon slayer break down in front of him. He, isn't entirely sure if touching would be an okay thing to do right now. So he uses his words. "Mario, deep breaths, in... and out." His tone was oddly, soft.

Ritchie gets into his position as well, and also waits. "If Mario and my brother don't make it, well, then I guess it'll be you and me." He mentions, grinning Boat's way despite the odd tension he still felt.
