Chapter Twenty Two

~Abby's POV~

All of us stayed silent. We were all in shock at the surprising news. We couldn't believe that Julianne AND Ivette weren't human. But, all of us aren't really human anymore either.
I knelt down in front of Julie and pulled her into a hug.

"Hey buddy, please don't cry."

"B-but, I'm just shocked, a-and scared."

"Why?"

"B-because*sniff* I-I'm afraid of what I'm c-capable of doing now. W-what if I hurt one of you?"

"No, that will never happen. All you've been doing is helping everyone! You're magic isn't meant for hurting others! It's meant to help them! Everyone!"

I tightened my arms around her body to pull her into a tighter hug.

"Don't ever say you're going to hurt anyone. Your personality and soul isn't like that in the slightest bit. It never has and it never will be."

I felt Julies body stiffen in my arms as she clutched my shirt tightly.

"Abby's right Julie. You're one of the nicest people in the world. I don't know what life would be like without you." Lizzy said joining in on the hug.

"Yeah Marshmallow. You may need to be looked after a lot but you're still a wonderful person inside and out. Don't ever doubt yourself about that." Al added

Julianne looked at all of us before smiling like this.

When her eyes opened again, one eye was brown and the other was purple.

"Thank you so much! All of you!" She exclaimed

We smiled back at her and helped her stand up. She then turned to Meliodas, Elizabeth and King.

"I'm sorry, I've caused so much trouble. My emotions just got to me."

"That's not a problem, everyone has to let their emotions out at some point. I completely understand." Meliodas said.

"Yeah, it's fine Julie." King added.

Elizabeth only nodded. Julianne smiled at them before turning to us again.

"I feel better now. But I think I'll stay up here and think things through." She said.

"Sure that's A-okay buddy. We'll be downstairs."

We waved goodbye to her and walked out of the room. I just hope she'll be okay now.

~Julianne's POV~

I waved to my friends as they exited the room. Once they left and closed the door I collapsed on the bed.

"You look exhausted."

I jumped up in surprise and turned around. Diane was looking at me through the window.

"Oh, Diane I forgot you were there. Sorry."

"It's fine. You're mind in focused on something else. I understand."

"Thanks Diane."

Diane smiled at me before moving away from the window. I sighed as I looked at my lap. Everything seemed so quiet now.
That's when I felt a burning sensation on my left wrist. I turned my wrist to look at it and I found this.

A sword with wings? I lightly touched the mark with my finger tracing it, like it would smear. But I quickly brought my hand away from my wrist.

"What's happening to me?"

I stood from the bed and searched for a mirror. Usually, when I use my powers one of my eyes turn purple. I think it's cool, but it also means I'm slowly losing my humanity. I'm losing it to a supernatural substance that has been coursing through my veins for years now.
I finally found a mirror and I looked at myself.

My purple eye was surely there. Wait. I'm crying? My left hand touched my cheek and it was wet. I wiped the tear away and put the mirror down. I closed my eyes hoping it would calm me down again.

"So, she's figured it out. Her true self"

I opened my eyes once again and sat on the bed.

"No not yet my dear partner. She does have a purpose here and because of her friends I finally know who my target is!"

I fiddled with my thumbs before summoning my sword.

"Speaking of her friends, they are all fond of each other. Including the Seven deadly sins. They're starting to become attached to each other. That makes both of our jobs harder."

"Why is that?"

"The relationship of these sins are growing stronger by the second. Their friendship will grow stronger causing all of them to fight for one another. When that happens, if you do something to anyone of them. Another sin will surely come for your head."

"That may be so. But that just makes things entertaining. Let them bond, laugh, smile. All those things. When they're at their highest point of trust, love and friendship. We'll snatch it all away!"

I swung my sword around a few times before growing bored. My fingers slowly opened and I set the sword down. It immediately disappeared leaving no trance of its existence.

"Damnit!"

I punched the closet wall leaving my fist there.

"I was too hard on Ivette! She was probably trying to protect me instead of hurting me! I'm such an idiot!"

"No you're not."

I turned around.

"Ivette?"

~Ivettes POV~

"Yeah, it's me." I said

I looked at Julies mismatched eyes and smiled. I can see her body trembling before she tackled me into a hug.

"Im sorry! I'm so so sorry!" She yelled.

"No, I'm sorry. I should've told you the truth. About everything."

She kept her face in my shoulder. I could hear her start to hiccup. No, I can't let her cry!

"He Julie, look at me please."

Julies head slowly rose from my shoulder. I could see tears threatening to fall from her eyes. I smiled at her trying to lift the mood.

"Hey, you know my eyes can change color too?"

"R-really?"

"Yeah, but it's been a while since they've changed. So I might be a little rusty."

I closed my eyes. Work, please please work. I slowly opened my eyes to face Julianne again. She gasped loudly and ran to her dresser. She grabbed a mirror and handed it to me. I looked at myself and immediately met my eyes.

One eye was purple, and the other was red.

"Your eyes do change colors!" She exclaimed.

I smiled at her now excited form.

"Yes, they do. And I have to say. The colors do look beautiful." I replied.

Julianne only giggled and grabbed my hand. She then dragged me out of the room and down the stairs.
There, we saw Elizabeth, Lizzy, Al, Abby and an old man?

"Oh, Julianne, Ivette. This is Cain Barzad. Meliodas's old friend and opponent from the fighting tournament.

~Julianne's POV~

"So this is the girl that Meliodas is so fond of?" He asked.

"Why yes, I find it rather cute." Elizabeth added.

My cheeks flushed out of embarrassment. Meliodas can't feel that way about me. Why would he like me like that anyway? I'm just an average girl, well, not average anymore.

"From what your friends tell me your personality sounds just like Liz's. Meliodas's deceased girlfriend." Cain added.

"What? No way!" I said.

"Heh, Liz would always object to things she didn't like. It's just like what you're doing now child."

Damn. This guy was good.

"ROARRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!"

"Whoah!"

"What was that?!"

The whole group looked at each other. That didn't sound like any animal roar. No, we must be in the episode that has gowther reveal his true self.

"You! Take this to Meliodas!"

The old man handed me a sword.

"Liz bought this as a present for Meliodas. But he refused it, the reason to this was because he was afraid of killing someone. Liz knew about this but still bought him the sword anyways."

I nodded at Cain and ran to the door.

"Ladies! Let's go!"

~Time Skip~

I can see it, we're almost at the clearing. I pushed more branches and bushes out of my way as I ran. I need to get this sword to Meliodas.
I came to a stop at a cliff and looked down.

"MELIODAS!" I yelled.

The short blonde boy looked up to see me and my friends.
I tossed the sword in the air and took in a deep breath.

"Please! Take the sword! Liz knew what you were capable of. She knew you didn't want to kill! But she wanted you to be defended! To protect yourself!" I yelled.

Immediately, Meliodas was in the air and grabbed the sword. He mumbled a few words before stabbing the beast under him. The monster fell now dead.
Once Meliodas's feet touched the ground he smiled up at me. I smiled back giving him a cute peace sign. I then looked at the others.

"Who is that?" Gowther asked.

"Oh, that's Julianne. She's helping us find the rest of the Seven Deadly Sins."

"Oh, then they must be her comrades. The girls behind her."

I turned and saw my team with me.

"No, they're friends." King said while hovering on his pillow.

"Friend? A person whom one knows and with whom one has a bond of mutual affection. I've heard this term in many books that I have read. It is fascinating."

"Wait, what the hell did he just say?"

"Al really?"

"Yes Lizzy, really."

"Guys, stop, just stop."

I turned around only to see Lizzy and Al at each others throats while Abby was trying to separate them. Welp! This is just dang great. (Hint the sarcasm)

~Time Skip~

"So you won't believe this guys. Gowther could tell if king was really king by his smell." Ban said.

"Oookayyyy that's just weird." Al stated.

"Oooooo! I wanna see if it works! Lizzy exclaimed.

Lizzy ran to king followed by Elizabeth, Ban, Hawk, and Meliodas. They started to smell King which was pretty freaky.
But King started to blush furiously.

"H-hey guys! Stop! Before I-" POOF

King transformed into his original self.

"Oh my gosh."

"This is probably the weirdest thing I'm going to ever see in my life." Abby said.

I looked at her before feeling a quick sensation on my neck. Out of reflex, I grabbed my neck and rubbed it.

"Your childhood seemed very sad and confusing."

I looked up only to see Gowther.

"You were a child that liked to do things on your own once your cousins left you. You were judged and treated poorly by others."

I looked at Gowther with wide eyes. That sensation on my neck. It was from him!

"Lizzy, a very talented writer with the skills of a master black belt in martial arts. You were always seen with your family, never leaving their side once."

"Al, a sassy tomboy with mixed attitudes. You enjoy the sound of music and reading. The rules mean a lot to you since you like to play fair. Also, you slightly have Obsessive compulsive disorder."

"Abby, a very protective friend. Always looking out for others. Possessing the talents of drawing, writing, running and swimming. But, you seem troubled..."

My eyes widened again and I looked at Abby. She looked back at me with worried eyes as Gowther grabbed his glasses.

"James?..... You're older brother...he told you something that can-

"SHUT UP!!" Abby yelled.

Her hands glowed with a bright gold and black color. Vines stuck up out of the ground and wrapped themselves around Gowthers body.

"DO NOT FINISH THAT SENTENCE!!"

Gowther only mumbled under the vines. Abby was breathing in heavily as she looked at us. I then noticed that one of her eye flashed a dark red before returning to their natural color. That's.... Weird...

"Abby!"

She looked over at me.

"Can I talk to you?"
