I walked down the pathway following their scents as I approached a cabin styled home. They weren't here but they were close by and I saw a movement inside. I heard a familiar voice talking on the phone as I approached the door and knocked.

"Come in it's open" she said

I walked in and there she stood Emily young Leah and Seth's cousin.

"Em?" I asked softly

"Trinity oh my god look at you, you've grown" she said after hanging up the phone

She came over and hugged me and I gently hugged back awkwardly at best.

"Oh what brought you to town?" She asked

"My parents think it was a good idea" I said

"The boys should've back any moment if you'd like to wait" she said

"Sure, oh but what are you doing at Sam's place?" I asked

"I'm his imprint, I assume you know what that means?" She asked

"Oh that must of broke Leah" I said

"It did" she said sadly

Before I could say sorry three loud voices had my ears perked up and on alert. I turned around just as Paul, Jared and Sam entered the room laughing.

"J" I squealed and rushed to him

He was shocked but easily caught me and spun me around. I saw Paul waiting and hugged him tightly as well before I looked over at Sam.

"Hi Sam" I said softly

"Hey little wolf" he said

"Wait what?" Paul said shocked

"I'm a wolf too, also a Mesmer but yeah I can turn into a wolf" I said as if it were obvious

"Since when?" Jared asked

"Since birth idiot" I said

"Hey I'm not an idiot" Jared defended

"Whatever helps you sleep at night" I said

"Kim's coming over hope that's alright" Jared said

"Who's Kim?" I asked

"My imprint" Jared said with love in his eyes

"Oh, congratulations I suppose" I said

You see I always had a slight crush on Jared so when I heard he imprinted it sort of hurt. And I think everyone but Jared noticed because he kept going on and on about her. So I quietly excused myself and walked to the beach alone. But I wasn't alone where I sat for long when a boy approached me.

"Can I sit?" He asked

"I guess so" I said softly

"You seem upset is there anything I can help with?" He asked

I turned and saw a gorgeous boy sitting beside me with chocolate brown eyes. Tan ish skin and dark black hair, he was definitely part quilette for sure.

"Hi, I'm trinity" I said sticking my hand out

"Joshua but call me Josh" he said shaking my hand

"Is that a slight accent I hear?" I asked

"Yes, I'm originally from France what about you?" He asked

"London" I said with a soft smile

"Your a witch?" He asked

I turned and looked at him shocked but he just smirked and chuckled softly.

"I'm a wizard I know a witch or wizard when I see one" he said

"Well yet but no actually" I said

"Well then what are you?" He asked

"A hybrid" I said

"Cool, what kind?" He asked

"Witch and wolf" I said

I left out the Mesmer part because I didn't fully trust him with my true secret at the moment. He had to earn that before I give him details because Merlin knows if I did he could be a bad guy or something. I didn't want to risk him being something he's not pretending to be, or pretending to be good only to be bad. But we chatted for a while until it got later and Paul came to find me worried.

"You hang with them?" Josh whispered

"Yeah why?" I asked

"They have no control and you, you seem" he began

"Let me stop you there Josh, they are my friends and I just met you, you fully know what I am and what they are so why judge them if they are similar to me, I don't appreciate you going around judging people that way especially my friends so if you want to keep that going you and I can't be friends" I said and went to walk away

"Teasing darling, I'm teasing" he said with a smirk

I smacked his chest and laughed along with him.

"I can see your protective of them that's why I said it" he said looking at me

"I should go" I said

"Trinity come on Billy's looking for you" Paul called out reminding me of the time
