Y/N's POV

I was in the park watching Eve and Steve playing while I was drawing, I heard footsteps and I looked up to see my best friends Akame and Kurome.

Y/N: Hey Akame, hey Kurome.

Kurome: Hello.

Akame: Y/N, what do you think of the Hades people?

Y/N: *Shrugs* I mean, I can tell they're not good news but Eve thinks they're good guys.

Akame: But the whole "Test Subjects" thing is kinda off. Why would they need test subjects?

Y/N: Your guess is as good as mine.

I noticed Eve and Steve's mother picked them up and the Hades people started attacking, I told my friends to flee but they didn't want to leave me. I told them that I couldn't just leave my village behind.

Y/N: One day, I'll find you two. But for now, you have to leave.

Kurome: Ok.

Akame and Kurome left, leaving me alone. I got my little sister to go with them that way she could be safe. But one of the Hades people managed to knock me out and everything fades to black.

Akame's POV Years Later

I woke up after dreaming about Y/N. I don't know if he's alive or not, but something tells me he's out there. I noticed Leone by the door.

Leone: Morning.

Akame: Morning.

Leone: It's good to have you back in Night Raid.

Akame: Don't mention it. I'm just searching for someone.

Leone: But isn't Kurome dead? Who else are you searching for?

I stayed silent, I hadn't forgotten Y/N's promise but had to find him.

???: Hey back off Mine.

Mine: Not until you give me those cookies, Esther!

Akame: Will you two shut up!? It's too early for this.

Esther/Mine: Sorry.

I go into the kitchen and notice Esther's face has cookie crumbs on it. I promised Y/N to look after his little sister. But she can be a bit of a pain at times.

Esther: Morning Akame.

Akame: Morning Esther.

Esther and I started talking about girl stuff, she's like a second sister to me. I saw Tatsumi walking into the room.

Tatsumi: Morning.

Akame: Morning.

Esther: Hello Tatsumi.

Tatsumi: I've heard some rumors about a man with a blue jacket and H/C hair walking around.

Akame: Wait, did you say a blue jacket and H/C hair?

Tatsumi: Yeah, you know who it is?

I stayed silent and Esther could tell who might it be. It can't be...

Akame: Where did the rumors say this man is?

Tatsumi: In some ruins of a village that was said to be attacked by something.

Akame: Esther, come with me.

Esther: OK.

Mine: Hey, where are you going?

Akame: If the rumors are true, I need to see him one last time.

Tatsumi: Do you know who the guy from the rumors is?

Akame: ...His name was Y/N L/N but Kurome and I call him Eystreem or Ey for short. He was our childhood best friend, always there for Kurome and me when we were sad. But one day his village was invaded by the Hades people.

Leone: The Hades People? Not the Capital?

Akame: Correct. I promised him that I would watch over Esther for him until he came back. But if he's back in the remains of his village, I need to see him again...no matter what.

Esther and I left and made our way to the remains of the village she grew up in. We arrived and started searching for Y/N but nothing, we checked the town hall and the house he used to live in.

Akame: Where is he? *Starts tearing up* WHERE?!

Esther: Akame, are you okay?  I'd never seen you this upset before.

Akame: I can't spend the rest of my days without him!! Y/N meant so much to me! I can't lose him...

???: Hey. Over here! Akame!

I look up to see something strange...a spirit version of a young Y/N walking to our hangout spot, I get up and walk to it. I see spirit versions of Kurome and I sitting next to Y/N, this made me smile and blush at the same time.

Spirit Y/N: Wanna know what I want to be when I grow up?

Spirit Kurome: Let me guess, a warrior!

Spirit Y/N: Nope, I wanna be an explorer!

Spirit Akame: An explorer?

Spirit Y/N: Yeah! There's so much out there and I want to find out if the fairy tales are real or fake.

Spirit Akame: *Giggles* You have some weird dreams, Ey. But if that's what makes you happy, then we'll support you, no matter what.

Spirit Kurome: Yeah! We'll be by your side.

Spirit Y/N: Thanks, you guys. You're the greatest friends I could ask for. *Smiles*

I remember that day very well. It was before the Hades people invaded his village and started ruining everything.

Akame: If only...the Hades people never showed up in this village.

???: Who's there?

Shocked by the voice, I got my sword out and had it at someone's neck, they had a blue jacket, a pair of headphones, E/C eyes, and H/C hair. My eyes widened as I realized who it was.
