They got to the coffee shop and stood by the condiments waiting for their name to be called. "Hey Dan," she smiled. "Hm?" He said turning to see her handing him a sugar packet. "And what's this," he asked confused. "Oh you dropped ur name tag," she smirked and Dan's face turned red as he groaned, "wow!" (y/n) laughed and laughed.

"Well the Lettuce was a head, and the tomatoes were trying to ketchup!" She whispered and Dan lost it. Holding his sides from laughter. They got their coffees and headed back to her flat. "So Dan if I may ask, why are you single. You seem pretty attractive to me," she asked.

"Well I kinda have a painful fear of rejection... I find it hard to open up to people; let alone make a good first impression. So being the awkward noodle I am, most girls don't want that," he sighed almost depressingly. "I see," she mumbled.

"Why are you single," Dan asked. "Well I was never that physically attractive as a kid, I'm moderately attractive at best; and that's me putting it nicely. I was always the weird girl in the back of that class that wouldn't talk to anyone except her close friends. Hard to find a guy to except that. Kinda the reason I moved here.... for a fresh start," she did her beast to smile. "Guess were just two broken people who found a reason to keep going. Maybe we can be what keeps each other from falling apart," Dan smiled as he stood in front of her her, holding her hands. "Maybe we together we can hold the pieces in place," she smiled back. "I promise," he said before he leaned down and kissed her softly. It turned into a warm hug. "Never let me go," he whispered into her ear.
